An upbeat take on just how fun the Arcimoto is to drive, even when you are working. I was going to buy a Harley for $22k, but now see this as being more practical and safe, just as fun, and cheaper.

How is it in the rain? The passenger compartment has no doors or sides, and all I can think of is that wet, droplet-filled air blasting in and around you.

Do a video on how they are working in NYC since JOCO is doing that pilot program you announced back in May 2022. That would be really good as it would show how it performs in the NYC area.

I believe they’ve stated it all along. I think it was 80 something for the quarter and end of last quarter they made 1000 altogether. Not sure why you can’t find the info.

I don’t understand why you think their RU-vid channel would have easy to find information, let alone everything you could ever want to learn about Arcimoto. Google is where you learn stuff like - how many FUVs were made this year. The link I gave has that number. You do need to do a bit of work yourself…

@@Smellindamix - Out of those, about 650 have been sold. All you have to do is look at the official Arcimoto documents they list on the SEC. Plus Arcomoto sold (new and used) 102 in the first half of 2023. That's up 37% over 2022. So they are doing quite well.

I don't think that goes 55 plus miles an hour as such you should not be driving it on the freeway which is what you're doing when you were going over the Fremont Bridge

They go around 75. Now the thing is, the consumption is high, it can run that fast. I know, I've rented one of them twice in FL.

Mine will do 80+ mph. They advertise the top speed as 75 mph but its definitely faster than that. I've never found the true top speed...no reason to go faster than 80 in an Arcimoto.

@@DPsmdg - I rented them twice and they do have a speed limit on them. Not fun when you are in the slow lane on the highway and everyone is blowing past you. I wish they wouldn't do that.

If you look around, you can find low mileage FUV's that are about a year old for around $10K.

I got my FUV used for $12k....there are new bicycles that cost that much! Comparing different products between used/new isn't very useful. There is only one new car that sales for less than $20k, the Mitsubishi Mirage, and it is not electric. The Arcimoto is cheaper than other 3-wheel motorcycles with similar features like Can Am Spyder, Polaris Slingshot, Ural, Vanderhall. Arcimoto is cheaper to own and cheaper per mile than all those other options.

@@DPsmdg - Remember, the people that like the FUV are old and retired. So they always complain about price on everything. Thus, the FUV is too expensive. What makes it worse is the Founder and CEO told us that it was to be $11,900 after they started selling numbers like 10K this year and 50K by 2025. Yet if they can sell 200 by the end of the year, I'll be shocked. Many bold claims by the company and we see how that worked out for them today.

You ignored the huge difference in insurance costs - Your cheap used 4 wheeled oversized EV costs 9 times as much to insure. My FUV is just $134/yr but car ins. starts at $1,200 here in Florida. Because it is sensibly sized I easily charge it at home with a standard outlet. More importantly, cars reduce your quality of life - they are boring, unadventurous and unimaginative.
