In this video I explain why we moved from ca to Texas. Link to video "What $1200 Will Get You In Texas | Apartment Tour" • What $1200 Will Get Yo... IG account: carsonboard email: opticfilms24p@yahoo.com
Xray Paul my point exactly...if you’re leaving an area because the policies and shit, don’t come over here and vote the same policies in and ruin it for us too. Stay miserable in that worthless state
I'm a NY conservative who is looking to move to Texas in the next 6 to 9 months I'm coming to Texas to live the Texas lifestyle not to bring NY to Texas
Coming to check things out in the Dallas fort worth area a few months from now I'm a truck driver and need a job with health benefits for my 3 daughters
You want Texas to be a blue state?? You want Texas to be ruined by liberals?? It ain’t gonna happen as long as Republicans/Conservatives are running it. Oh, and when Trump gets re-elected or any Republican gets elected as President, all Democrats/Liberals living in red states are gonna make things ugly!!
My husband and I are trying to move to Texas from California before Sept. WE ARE NOT LIBERAL!! Not everyone in California is liberal. I am excited to finally have my vote count. I was born here and I can not take it anymore! I am not giving this state my money anymore.
Kristen Bianchi on your last ca state tax return, do the remaining republicans here in ca a favor...superimpose your middle finger on your return...I’m gonna do it when we finally leave this shit hole of a state!
I believe you are confusing liberal with leftist. Those who have ruined California are not liberal, they are pure leftist Marxists. Refer to them as leftist or progressives.
Come on with it!! Leave any democratic voting in california where it belongs and come down here and enjoy our lower cost of living, low gas prices because Houston is big in the oil and gas industry, lower price for food because our farmers get good deals from the republican leaders and we also have farmers markets where you can buy the excess as wholesale, more jobs because our republican leaders give incentives for businesses to move here and we all enjoy no state taxes, lower crime rates in most parts because most of us are strong supporters of our second amendment. The ladies are gorgeous, the men and gentleman and we welcome all races and religions and sexual preferences, but we don't support dems because they threaten everything we have worked so hard to build.
I moved to San Francisco just out of high school in 1995 and it was The Place To Be, it really was. Left in 1997 for the Navy, came back in 2012 and it's just been on a downward spiral ever since. It's a rat race dodging meth zombies and paying $3400 a month for a studio apartment for the privilege. Fuck this, I'm going to Kentucky in July or August, enough of this shit, they can have it.
Catch - That's how it's been since the first techboom - 1995. The ones who should stay are leaving and the ones who should leave? Stay. Although some who should have left? Now are. Their own shit got to them like it did about everyone else. We always miss you - the real Californians, the few of us left. But we sure do understand. For more than 20 years now.
Welcome to Texas Bro. I moved out here back in early 2007 from L.A. and I don't regret it one bit. I bought my house in Carrollton the following year in early 2008 in Carrollton and I live like a king out here.
Lol you live like a king. Yes, I agree I bet living in another state it feels like you are a lil more free and money stretches a bit longer. We are considering on moving but not having a job is holding us back. Any suggestions where my fiance can apply at? Have a great day!
These Cali people don’t realize they’re in a echo chamber and they’re no allowed to have a dissenting opinion. We need to have de brainwashing programs for new residents. I should know I lived in Cali for a Lil and got infected for a little bit
This is what happens when your guys allow leftists to move to your State www.politico.com/news/2020/02/15/texas-dems-sweat-bernie-sanders-ticket-110524
I hear you Bro. I live in L.A very close to Arcadia, I've been doing my research alot lately, and sadly came to the conclusion that all states that are runned by Democrats, have the same problem as California, high crime, high taxes, insanely high house prices. The middle class is always crushed. People in blue states are either poor and in government assistance or rich elites. But the middle class struggles alot. I wish the best in Texas. Just my humble opinion: Democrat politicians ruin states.
Levinite 1 Democrat voters destroy states by voting for the idiots. Colorado turned Blue and into a pothead state bc of CA residents moved there. CO is going to hell now.
It is a curious thing to think that the Democrats have the reputation of the party that cares about the middle class. Every where they gain a significant level of power, their policies end up destroying the economy and gutting the middle class. How are they the party who loves the middle class? I just don't get it!
J. Carlos....you are right. Most Texans may see all liberal Dem states as expensive, sanctuary cities, hating citizens loving illegals, hating the good like the law being enforced, etc.
I lived in CA for 30 years (SoCal) before deciding to move away (east coast) due to the high cost of living/heavy traffic and that was 12 years ago. CA was a wonderful place to live in the 80s and 90s but it's bad now and I'm glad I made that move.
Aburto14 with all the things going on in California ( being ruined by Democrats) it’s no wonder people are moving away, not just here but other states..
Great video! Thank you for being so informative and clear with your points. I’m considering moving to Texas from California and I found this video to be very helpful.
Bro. I live in Pasadena, CA and hate the home prices, traffic and all these taxes. I don't blame why you moved. It's so damn expensive out here. Just to breathe air, CA charges you. Lol.
I love the outdoor possibilities CA offers but the high home prices makes it unrealistic to live comfortable if you are a middle income household...sadly, you are paying dearly for the nice weather and outdoorsy things
But with all the blue moving out of Cali, Cali will switch red just get all the Texas to move to cali in a few years the when their economy crashes. The weather is great, the beaches are great and with the new politicians the economy will be great again too.
I now live in Texas the Dallas/Ft.Worth area. I was raised in Florida born in Georgia. B4 coming to Tx I was in Las Vegas,NV. Hated it. All the Californians moved in and changed everything. Then I moved here to Tx for work and I missed the South. Southerns welcome anyone. But YOU Californians need to realise all your States problems are your doing. You voted all those taxes and people in. Don't bring it to my new home state. Wake up to it. Stop thinking the same as you did b4.
Dude I agree with what you're trying to say, but know that everyone in Commiefornia is not a libtard. I was born in CA and have lived here all my life and yes, I hate what CA has become and I'm conservative. There are conservatives here too and we hate the libtard politicians/policies. Not everyone from CA is Democrat.
I’m ready to get out California I’m 23 and I want my own crib 😂 my dad has 3 houses in San Diego and he keep saying when I’m buying my house sir times have changed. It’s so hard now a days .
Wow! Your dad owns three houses in San Diego! He must have a lot of equity. Tell him to sell one and share his investment hehe jk. Have a positive day!
Tesie Marie it Is officially "The Christmas Capital of TX". Keep your fingers crossed for this year. If you haven't already, take a stroll into the Visiter Information Center 636 S Main st and grab all the info you want about the going's on and everything to do in Grapevine all year long. Visit the 4 historical museums right behind the VIC that give the history of the city from inception to today. Then the TX shootout atop the tower. The folks will tell you about it. Grapevine, TX truly is the center of the universe as we know it!🙂💯
@Jeff Sol is everyone dumb. Do people still think hes stilll gonna move. You guys do realize he's staying he reopened tesla operations a long time ago. Are you guys up to date?
Raul Navarrette Me too, it will bring jobs here to Texas and help collapse the economy of California so we can kick it out of the Union. California sucks ass, full of people trying to be cool.
I hear you my friend. Born and raised in SoCal. I was doing fine, but things in Cali are just getting out of control! FL reminds me of Cali, much happier now. I hope you haven't forgotten about me. Would really love to see the footage we shot of the Evo!
I moved from Arcadia too!!! Its been 3 years in Dallas so far and I have zero regrets. I visit Cali twice a year and it's been perfect. Good luck you brotha!
@@jdubincali if you have any more conservative friends from California, please tell them to follow you there. We need more conservatives moving there. California is a lost cause.
@@brandonfalcon9348 You Texans beyond stupid. We are talking about making a better decision for their family. And you guys make it about politics 🤦🏽♂️😂
Thanks for the video - I grew up in San Gabriel valley too - it’s very expensive ! Here’s the deal- I used my Veterans benefits to get my dream home around a golf course in San Bernardino (a little bit of heaven in the ghetto lol) - it’s very dangerous here now ! I’ll be joining you shortly !... hopefully by the end of the year. Take care
I am a native Californian and grew up in Arcadia. You made the right choice. I am moving finally after 50 plus years here. Los Angeles and CA in general has been ruined for a number of reasons and no one cares about the middle class.
Agree with you 100% on everything! You from Arcadia, I'm from Compton. Always good to hear from a Californian. I'm in South Arlington! Been here in Texas 5 years now. Love it! Take care brotha!
Welcome to the metroplex. Sounds like you’re in the HEB AREA. I’m in Benbrook myself, I don’t have anything presentable now, but I’m a Mustang guy and want another one. I look forward to more of your videos
I'm working on my HVAC cert. I'm from OC moved to Fort Worth/ Arlington and just bought my home this year! I used to be in to 240s had 95 and an 89 back in cali.
welcome to Tx just a reminder mostly everybody we came from other places countries soon just giving your blessings to the new people here in fort Worth TX
Yes, but people tend to destroy a city by voting for Democrats and their policies. Then they move to a nice place and start voting in the same people and policies that caused them to leave. There will be no place to go pretty soon. It's happening to Texas, Nevada, Colorado has already been wrecked, Utah, TN, FL. Don't move to a nice place and turn it into the horrible place you left. Stay in the horrible place if that is what you want.
@@LoveLightLiberty6868 naw that's cap go search for the truth fam. Politics are used to divide the people and make them go full on retarded. Please keep searching I know you're close but like jail politics only hold positions for certain people for power. Texas will not longer be a Red state.
@@bonushuntersentertainment yep. As soon as it's blue taxes will go through the roof, crime will skyrocket, etc. All of the reasons people fled CA, NY, IL will be brought to TX. That's what happens when Democrats get control. Republicans are spineless, worthless much of the time, but they tend to leave people alone. Democrats want to control and regulate every part of your existence and their base doesn't expect them to be church going moral people. I know many Republicans just pretend to be church going moralists, but they have to make it look somewhat real. Democrat base has most of the atheists, satanists, wiccans, etc because many of their policies don't fit with Biblical teachings.
Hey brother Texas motor speedway has friday night drags every weekend in July. starts the last weekend in June very cool. It is not that much to get in about 20.00 and you can bring your own beer as long as it is in a can. Maybe I,ll see you out there.
Can you do an update video about your thoughts and experiences now that you’re there in Texas, along with how long it took you to get your house finalized and a comparison of cost of living? I’d like to eventually move to Texas, I’m an electrician and am curious about the job market there for electricians. Thank you!
I've been in DFW for almost two years and yes, Texas offers all those little percs you said, but nothing is like California. I've decided that I'm moving back when my lease is up. P.S, they rip you off with the toll roads everywhere.
Ironically we have a similar story... 1. We have few relatives in the FT Worth area 2. 3 yrs ago my fiance said he could imagine living in TX (boyfriend at the time and his 1st time visiting) 3. We want to start a new life with less stress 4. We are very conscious about our $$$ 5. We have two American Bully, Nino and Xenon (JeovaniVlog) and a ShihTzu We have been thinking about making the move for years but it seems like this time we are serious. The only thing is holding us back is finding my fiance a job. What apartments are you guys staying at? Thanks for the info, it was the universe sending us a sign.
Great! Now you can do “short films” with car guys in Texas! Those were really the videos I enjoyed. The truck videos arent so interesting man tbh. The miata project was sorta ok. But in all honesty the short films are what really drew me into your channel! Stick to the formula that works! And gluck in Texas Bro!
I live in the Pasadena/Arcadia area and I understand what you're saying. I am a lot older than you are and we got into the real estate market much earlier than you were trying to. I will be 50 soon so I remember the 1970's before all the craziness got started in the 1980s with moving van after moving van after moving van coming here from everywhere. I still see out of state license plates all the time on the 210 around my house. As you know, there are no tourist attractions around here so it's got to be people who have moved here. And that massive immigration into CA is one of the main factors that has driven the cost of housing up. We have been overrun. The same thing eventually will happen to Texas. It's inevitable if people keep moving there. We'll miss you here and I'm sure there will be loved ones and things about CA that you'll miss, too. Good luck out there.
winters can be cold, but in DFW area it's not too bad. There is usually a dusting level of snow once a year. The only bad things are the ice storms. They pretty much shut everything down for a few days. The problem is not so much the roads, but a lot of time the ice brings the power line down.
Yeah, I have seen so many of these, why I left California videos. Still haven't seen one in which the Californians apologize to the rest of us for supporting liberalism, and one that explains why they can't stay in California and change it!!
Good info. I’m from CA (West L.A.) and like you, I’m thinking of moving to Houston. I like that you mentioned the moving experience, however, if you can elaborate a little more on the cost. I was thing (haven’t done my research yet) of hiring a moving truck to load the heavy items only such appliances, beds, I’m planning to sell most of the furniture and as much as I can, as my plan is to buy a house there. Any more tips on the moving, would be greatly appreciated. P.S. I’m also planning to drive there to take my car. If you can make a video to see if you bought your hose yet and your buying experience over there, that would be great. Thank you!
America is a warm place that embraces everyone, not for whites, blacks and others, but rather belongs to everyone, including its cities without exception, so let's live in peace.
Welcome to the BIG T! If U can withstand the summers and hot weather with humidity, u'll be ok. Here you will experience a double-heat burn : the heat burn and steam burn. Cal has beautiful weather and the beaches and the mountains but over-populated and tooo expensive. It's a good idea that U watch the money. If U check out the Hill Country (Austin, Gruene, New Braunfels, etc.) it's beautiful and also affordable. HVAC is in high demand in Texas. Good vid and good luck to U and your family.
Hi bro great blog, I'm in Rancho cucamonga and thinking of leaving to Klein texas, I do supermarket refrigeration are there any company's out there that you know of.
I grew up in Arcadia and was living in Costa Mesa. I moved a year ago to grapevine Texas and I agree with your assessment. We did get snow here on January 11th.
Welcome to Fort Worth! I live in Fort Worth and I highly recommend you visit the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Fort Worth. You and your family will love it. Take care.
Welcome to Texas but don't California our state by voting Democrat. Check facebook for car shows. There are car shows all over the DFW area even during winter. Join Car Show Radar on facebook for upcoming car shows. I am into cars myself and go to shows all the time. You might look into DAE - Dallas Auto Enthusiast on facebook as well. They have all sorts of cars in their group. There are car shows at Texas Motor Speedway just north of FT. Worth pretty often as well.
They're not trying to, it's very well known by many that the expatriates of Calif. are sick of the ultra-blue politics, so that's why in the first place they don';t even wanna leave in California I live in Calif. but never voted for Democrats, or Commies.
If you haven’t done so yet, come visit the Hill Country/San Antonio area. The weather is a little more temperate; we have the heat, but not the cold, no monster tornadoes. Despite being one the fastest growing cities in the US, we also still have a lot great scenery, parks and hiking opportunities.
I remember helping in a California congressional candidate in 1998. Part of what I remember a script reading over the phone was to vote straight Republican for all the Republican candidates at many levels of government. Looking back now, I can understand why that was being told to read that.
WELCOME TO TEXAS HOMIE!!! IF YOU CAN. TRAVEL THE STATE.. GO TO ELPASO. BIG BEND AREA. THEN DRIVE THE RIO GRAND TO THE SOUTH. (THE VALLEY) THEN COME UP THE COAST. CORPUS THEN HOUSTON.. THEN GO TO EAST TEXAS.. TALL TREES N FOREST.. THEN GO TO SAN ANTONIO. AUSTIN. YOU ARE GONNA LOVE IT!!
good luck.stay safe.when I looked up fort worth awhile back,it said stay way from this atea, this area, this area....many places to stay away from.didn't make me want to move there lol.
@M Lopez I've heard liberalism is a disease. And it's true. It's also demonic, unethical, and yeah demonic. It's literally a supernatural acceptance. Almost like someone has embraced this blob like thinking that is all consuming, and they allow it to direct them. It's very disgusting. Cali girl here trying to get the HELL out cuz everyone here is awful mean and psycho. I don't understand why no one cares that our liberties are being stripped and they said they're going to start taking us from our homes for Covid, and no one believes it and no one thinks it's a big deal and IM JUST DONE with this state. Speaking Spanish is now a shoe in at a job IN AMERICA
Welcome to Fort Worth, there's alot of people at my job moved from Santa Ana and San Bernadino. Now they have extra spending money, and money to save. I live on the West Side of Fort Worth.
My wife and I are coming next week, we are considering moving also, we live in San Pedro by the end of the 110 fwy, we have a condo and want a house, i have an office in Dallas already, maybe we can connect and get your feedback on the move.
Congrats bruv! on the upside if you ever miss Cali just visit Austin and you'll be right at home (same craziness with a slightly smarter implementation)
Even middle class it’s hard to get a house i agree!!! Only if we went to like Indio or Coachella or up to Victorville , I remember when u told me u were moving it’s awesome to see you went threw with it!!! I’m happy for u man hopefully if I go down there one day we can hang oout again lol Great video man left a like 👍
Thanks for the video I moved to Kansas City from Nor Cal, I don’t like the winters here and the humidity is ridiculous.....how how long is Texas humid for I hear different from everyone we are thinking maybe Texas for the above freezing winter thanks man
Bro, you and me both. I moved from San Diego to Austin because of housing cost. People say Austin is expensive....yeah try living remotely close to the beach....
San Diego has a lot of places that aren’t far and still 20 to 30 min from the beach you just wanted to be picky of where in sd you wanted to live at . You probably only wanted to live close to downtown or north park
It was a bigger financial decision than just "wanting to live by the beach". I was offered a great position working for the state. After comparing local economies and buying power, we decided to sell our home and bought one cash here in Austin. No mortgage, great pay, and soon buying a second home. I think we did ok!
My cousin, her husband, younger daughter, older son, his wife left San Diego for Leander in 2018. Cousin's older son, his eventual wife bought a home there. My cousin's husband, cousin & younger daughter have enjoyed it out there. Cousin's daughter began her fashion designing career out there. My uncle that lives in San Diego was suggesting that I move out to Georgetown which is a suburb of Austin.
I moved to Austin as well. I bough a home in Cedar Park. It's close to Georgetown. This is angreat area for young families. It's very affordable compared to San Diego. It's a nice change. Definitely miss the beach and the Mexican food, though.
M Lopez was born in California. My family moved to Arizona but when I came of age decided to move back to California. It’s not what I remember... San Francisco looks and smells like shat. The Central Valley is better but your spending at least 250k for a 20to50 year old starter home. With my job I pull 65k a year and I love my job and area. But the political and economic social situation in California is so so toxic. People can be so toxic or high off their own farts. Very strongly considering moving to Texas. Could get a home from this decade two or three times the size of here for the same price or less. Sorry but California is the great progressive failure to me. Time to try a conservative state. See how the other side of the isle runs things
I’m moving to Texas in 10 days from today (July 12, 2020) and this video was really helpful man. The moving process is pretty expensive and just the thought of driving down there just gives me nightmares cuz I drove to Dallas back in April, 2019👺🤣
Question? You were able to get an apartment right away, don’t you need to have work history working in Texas? And what about job pay, big difference or about the same? Thinking about moving down there!
I was born and raised in LA (Pico Rivera). I moved and bought a home north of Merced , Ca for $300K 3 yrs ago. I'm retired now and living happily in a great community. I agree the the LA area is overpriced but there are plenty of cities North of LA that are affordable. I'm 1.5hrs from Yosemite and 1.5 from SF. Fortunately we are not in a flood zone and even tho some prices are high (gas), we are blessed. Will you give a 3yr update?
I live live in Fort Worth, the Dfw area is fine when dealing with cars but I hear that Houston Texas is the the great place for getting the good ideas and visiting for the car shows in your spare time....only down fall is that's a 4 hour drive to H-town...but once you get to the inner city of Dallas of Fort Worth and meet people you will get so many ideas
