Adding a sub really enriches your driving experience. If you don't have a sub woofer you're missing out on a lot of music. The sub woofer can produce sounds a normal speaker can't. We install an interesting setup in our 2005 Honda Civic that might be appealing to some people that want something that doesn't take up too much space.

Yeahhhhh competition type bass...I thought I needed just a bit...yeah (All bought from Visions) I picked up that big A-Trend dual 12 inch ported box...stuffed it with dual Hertz 12 inch subs (4 ohm SVC) wired em parallel and powering them off a Kenwood X501-1 amp...turns out I like not just a bit of bass but a LOT! I think they can hear me coming if I crank it up...

@@AnthonyJ350 ahhhh maybe next would be a four channel amp for the satellites lol Hertz Dieci 4x6s up front, Dieci 6x9s in the back still on deck power (I know I could go Energy but there's no 4x6 in that series and I'm not all that good with custom fitting speakers)but that's a Alpine CDE-HD149BT...fully crossed over AND level set oddly thanks Alpine! Yeah I can crank it up nice thanks to how efficient the speakers are, but you know... all want...more! And yes I have upgraded the ground already and you'd be right in guessing it's a GM car. I installed a dual terminal battery and added a top post ground cable that terminates directly to the body. Old trick I used way back in a very similar car. Also come to think of it...other than the stupid interconnect from the deck to the amp at the moment, the whole system was purchased at Visions.

Thanks for the cool video. Ive bought a blaupunkt underseat active sub with the same cable harness as this alpine unit (power, ground, remote, speakers all in this harness). I am a noob at this. What would be the best way for me to connect the power wire from the battery to the subwoofer's harness? Do I need a power distribution block? Do I splice? I really want to do this the proper way. They would be good for midbass, have 4 of them under the seats and like 2 12's in the back. You would definitely need better door speakers and a amp to push them but it should do well to pick up the midbass frequency void between the door speakers and subwoofers.

Get a Ground Zero gzrb16SPL if you seriously find space at a premium but, you want more output than an under-seat subwoofer. The output is very comparable to a single 300-watt 10-inch sub in a sealed box. But, I wouldn't mind the space that a Fi Neo 3.5 12 inch sub in a 1.4 gross cubic foot enclosure would take up though.

So no separate amplifier is required? I know the subwoofer needs to get the signal from the head unit. Can I connect the signal from my door speakers instead, or it’s a specific cable that’s behind the head unit for subwoofer. I’m kind of a newbie so It’s a learning progress😂
@AnthonyJ350
@AnthonyJ350 2 года назад
That's correct. The amplifier is built into this unit. If you grab signal from a door speaker (you want to test the frequency for full range) you'll still need to hook up the left and right at the amplifier in order for it to see a "full signal". If you're using a factory sound system you'll want a good line output converter ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nWv92V2T518.html

Do not buy these peices of garbedge. Got one it instantly broke and would just flick off, git it replaced and it stoped working after a couple months. Now I gotta try to diagnose the problem and fix it myself. Very disappointed on the Pyle underseat woffer with built in amp

Did you buy the brand Pyle or Alpine? Also how did you install it? How did you ground the unit?

Thanks for the feedback. It's difficult to show how a speaker sounds, unless you're listening to it in person.
