I was shocked by how slow the movement was in COD, how fast the ADS movement was and how horrible the aim assist screws you when you are aiming at the enemy and their is a group of players running behind them. It literally pulls you off the enemy you are aiming at and starts to follow the other player even if they are on your same team. 😮

“You a good mix of games” You don’t actually lol. Xdefiant is a sweat fest for sweats who call themselves “above average gamers” Stop whining and just go to Xdefiant. Both games can co-exist and competition is good for both games. You think Ubisoft isn’t going to do the same thing? Like how you could buy a pack that unlocked gun instead of achieving it naturally. It’s amazing that the Xdefiant fanboys are completely ignoring the paywall that already exists in the game they say will “curb stomp” COD. Ubisoft will do the same thing because that’s how money is made. Ubisoft has already cancelled some other projects to focus efforts on Xdefiant. They need it to be successful and thus profitable. So they’ll do what they did at launch. Make earning XP a slog, locked a fraction “DedSec” behind 700000xp earned, which will take forever for casuals, or hey pay 20 bucks to get it now. That’s the clearest paywall Ive seen in recent years. But people are blind to it cuz “it doesn’t have SBMM.” 😂

It's actually engagement optimized match making. The algorithm monitors more numbers than just skills. It KILLS any sense of progression. Because no matter what, you'll always have the exact same experience. A few hand hurting matches followed by a boring kindergarten match. All the wins and losses feel artificial.

also people sometimes forgot about SBMM that you cannot play with your friend if your friend "below average", me and my one friend skill is above average, we understood this situation and we never forced other friend to play cod otherwise they experience will be ruined. especially after they spend $70 dollar. and now this week, we finally playing xdefiant as 6player team, we lose together, we work as a team, we win together. And the most important we have fun !!! something that we would never got on cod. our "below average" skill's friend also excited to play xdefiant, and im surprised how well they grow up their skill on fps. Because they are getting better SBMM problem is real !

Same story. Especially sucks when that one "little above average" friend is you. Only reliable solution for this problem bs was spare "adjusted" account with sub 1kd that used for hosting party and looking for lobbies, otherwise everyone suffers because your friends are getting farmed by sweats and you getting non stop spammed by killstreaks.

COD pushed their core player base away by catering their games to low skilled players. XDefiant is a breath of fresh air and I really hope it can flourish.

You need to know that in the world you get more casual players compared to hard-core players. So in this case to keep high player base COD did a good thing for themselves. Where xdefiant casual players will get sweaty lobbies against hard-core players. They will likely leave the game and uninstall. So if you logically think, their next step would be back to COD.

@@algatronalgirdasIt’s not sustainable in the long term but it sure as hell is a breathe of fresh air, also hardcore players don’t ruin games as they tend to be more competitive in the competitive playlist. In my opinion what ruined games was E-sports and streamers trying to make it seem like everyone has to be good at a game. Plus the fact that people back then didn’t really make career out of games, if you want a casual game play literally any other title that’s not an fps, if you can’t change the genre you play then Ofc you’re going to be annoyed when playing the same games over and over.

I think the slightly longer ttk is also more appealing to the evening chill crowd. 1v1 engagements can be turned around and won - where CoD just rewards whoever hits their target first. I appreciate this subtle but crucial difference in an FPS shooter.

SAME, I honestly *loathe* the dead before you can even blink TTK in so many games anymore. Planetside 2 was probably my absolute favorite for overall TTK. You could get hit and get away, it actually took a good burst to down a player, every single engagement wasnt an immediate, *your dead*.....

COD don't care about xdefiant. The amount of problems xdefiant has to fix, especially with net code. I personally don't play much xdefiant anymore. Went back to COD and even older COD Cold War and Vanguard. Still very alive finds matches in max 30 seconds.

Aim assist is pretty stupid in any and all forms. Cross platform is kinda stupid for needing aim assist to compete with PC......game just casually giving players an aim bot.... Enders: XDefiant has potential, it just needs to capitalize on it. Yeah, thats not something Ubisoft does........they get games to "yeah, this is aight" and move on to XDefiant 2. Then ZDefiant 3 then XD Defiant 4... CoD being a store pretending to be a game. Yeah, like Armored Warfare, I call it an online store with a tank minigame where you can drive around in your pixel panzer. So, tune into CoD BO6, where the store sells a token that removes your SBMM for 5 matches lol. Also, with XDefiant, is that black girl with the Afro like the meta chick? Cuz ive seen her alot lol.

I agree i enjoy xdefiant as a fun game where cod is a mix , there going to be more maps and new weapons , cod players are trying to force devs to use sbmm , but i do hope they stick to the guns and will not change the way it is set up xdefiant is a great game as it is without sbmm , there a few bugs but happy with that what game does not have a few bugs . enjoy the game as it is these cod players trying to change it want to destroy xdefiant .

I literally can't even play MWIII right at the moment because of how many cheaters are playing the "free trial weekend" to level up their Warzone metas. I'm not even kidding when I say that you can jump into the free trail small map moshpit playlist and 90% of the lobby is using walls and not even trying to hide it. You can report them all weekend and NOTHING HAPPENS at all because the system thinks they bought the skins that they have unlocked. And even if Activision does know, they can still add their totals from unlock tools to the bundles bought sub totals to trick their investors to think they are real world purchases.

Cod destroyed itself being recycled overpriced $70 DLC, XD is free, no SBMM & so on so of course it's BETTER, HOWEVER you can't destroy some(not cause cod have diehard simps who'll always buy it) but from a being better standpoint, you cant be that much better when your netcode & hit reg is dog 💩 AFTER YEARS of delays & development. Only thing worse is cod is $70 so when it released in a dog 💩 state you paid money for it, this is free, however its still not fun, I love the game but it took double XP to get me to play it as its just not fun right now, I die 25+ times, 10 of those are hit reg/netcode related, 5 kills are through walls/around corners then 10 to bunny hops which makes their hit box non existent so combined with netcode & hit reg it's just OP & I lose all those fights, add that to any gun fights I just lose including getting shot from behind etc. granted in straight 1v1s I win those 9/10 or 10/10 of the time as I put the work in to get good, I've mastered hitting shots with iron sights of all guns, movement, abilities & so on(it also helps that it plays a lot like Apex which I was nasty at so those skills transitioned over as it only took me a few days from launch to get good) I'm tired of getting farmed by netcode. People know they beating you cause of netcode & they target you so they can have high kill & low kill death games, "I went 35 & 14" tryna impress people when yea that looks impressive but when you know HOW they went 35 & 14, you realize it's not bot impressive. When nerfs happen to snipers, bunny hops & netcode & hit reg get fixed watch how so many "good" players who get high kill games won't be good anymore & will have bad games & some who had bad games will start to shine & be good.

Never experienced SBMM since I've only played 2009 COD. I play fighting games & cant imagine there being an algorithm that would coddle people that arnt good. Maybe fighting games needs SBMM so new players wouldnt quit lol!! Anyways Xdefiant is defiantly mids right now, some of the stuff coming in season 1 should have been in the game at launch.

I played Xdefiant and it ain't it. Annoying announcers, i had to turn that shit off, maps that look like I went to a theme park, the enemies have a red border that i also dislike and the movement doesn't feel smooth enough. The hype will end and it will be forgotten like The Finals, especially when BO6 drops.

Exactly. And I am like 1.0 in COD and 1.2 in xDefiant (felt from 1.4 in last few days). In my case I am only very sligtly influsenced by SBMM, yet I absolutely hate it... All the time I play COD I feel frustration and powerlessnes. Even when I have few very good matches in my mind I already know next few will be hell. Game dictates when its time to spank some noobs or get deleted and if you play long enough you can predict it. And there is no escape from that cycle. Leave and go to another lobyy? NO NO NO - you get same hell untill you take it fullly to the end. Leave 5x? Get the same kind of match again and again. And I hate both versions, SBMM and EOMM in casual lobby. One makes you to play your clones all the time(I felt at MW19 release like that) and the other tries to emulate random environment but its rigged because it picks teams for you to stomp or get stomped. Server browser>No SBMM matchmaker>SBMM matchmaker>EOMM matchmaker

I’m glad somebody actually made a video saying this. I’ve been saying it for years call of duty’s been dead since 2019.. and it’s crazy all the other games are following suit Fortnite Apex legends you name it all SBMM AND IT’S LITERALLY KILLING ALL FIRST PERSON SHOOTERS. Like Xdefiant or not it’s the best first person shooter by default because it doesn’t have SBMM. Like you can say 1 million things you like about any other first person shooter and all anyone has to say about X defiant there’s no SBMM and you automatically win the conversation. 🤷🏻🤷🏻🤷🏻🤷🏻

Despite how simple xdefiant is, I'm having a blast playing it. It scratches an itch that hasn't been scratched since I was a wee boy in 2011. I hope future updates improve the game more and keeps it alive. It's not original, it's not innovative, but most importantly it is fucking fun lmfaoo. Imo at least and what's more important than that.

Na only abilities annoying is the spider bot & the cleaner fire bomb which aren't picked much. Even then the Netcode & hit reg reg & other issues are what's annoying as hell. As somebody who been following this game since day one, it's a flop, not in terms of players but from a horrible launch & post launch standpoint, the game netcode & hit reg is sewer juice, leave it to Ubisoft to constantly drop the ball, that's Goofisoft for you, they got their work cut out for them, they are incompetent, what a circus. Last year showed us what to expect from them.

Games don’t vary, it’s literally every game is a sweat fest getting shot from multiple directions at once. Hit reg is a joke but the COD haters will ignore that. There is no difference in the Store between COD and Xdefiant. Call of Duty is so easily fixable - Just take greed out of the equation. SBMM, EOMM, rotational aim assist, bad server performance, poor game performance.. All these things wouldn’t exist if Activision would actually focus on making a good game instead of making as much profit as possible all the while saving money on important ends like servers and development time. SBMM is the epitome of noob friendliness. I don’t care what anyone says or thinks - Making good players have a terrible time in favor for noobie’s game experience is just wrong on so many levels. The world doesn’t and shouldn’t work like that. If you put much time into a game, learn all the different mechanics, learn to read game flow, movement, aim, spawns, etc. you deserve to have a higher K/D as opposed to little Timmy, who plays on his PS4 with an 10ms RT, 75” TV and cannot even shoot straight if rotational aim assist doesn’t correct his aim. This constant magnetic push to a 1.0K/D is absolutely horrendous and ultimately kind of demotivating. This annoying aim assist debate could be ended so easily if they just added input based MM, it’s as simple as that. Let controller player’s beam each other with their integrated aimbot, but leave us MnK players out of that. As for servers.. I think I have not experienced a single day where I didn’t had to play multiple 200ms + 10% packet loss games, while my enemies had normal pings. Better servers + No SBMM is the solution.

I actually really like XDefiant, i dropped cod years ago because it was getting worse every year. But the biggest real problem of the Game ist the connection. And I hate the people who think it needs to be like COD, no it doesn't! Its good because it is not exactly like cod. Great video as always.

Man, the last thing you said is just so true. Skilled based matchmaking is killing me. I really enjoy WZ. Just started to play WZ with mw3 and never played before. But to play every time like real life depends on it is exhausting and ruining all the fun.

Input based matchmaking doesn't matter because you can only use both inputs on PC. Console users are forced to use controller. And just like every other online game, if you turn off crossplay, you wont find a match.

I'm actually enjoying this game way more than what I thought I would. I've been hyped about the no SBMM in casual lobbies, but the game itself hadn't pulled me in yet. After playing about 10 hours after release, I was pleasantly surprised. The higher TTK is much better. You can actually turn on people in this game and melt them if they hit you first but have overall bad aim. The aim assist being tuned down is also nice in adding a good skill gap between players. I'm finding myself being satisfied after winning a close gun fight purely because my aim was just better than my opponent. Of course you are going to have sweaty lobbies from time to time, but it's nice being able to have an amazing game and then not be punished for it in the next lobby. And many of the games I play I find myself just being able to play casually and not having to be glued 12 inches away from the monitor. It overall just feels like it used to when I played COD back in the early days. I also enjoy that in the majority of the lobbies I've played in so far people seem to play the objective so much more than in MW3. Overall the game is easily overachieving the expectations that I had for it going into it. I think if they work on the net code problems and the hit detection problems that many players are running into, this game will be able to thrive for a long time. Is it going to be the "COD Killer"? No, because the only thing that will kill COD will be COD itself. But, it is a breath of fresh air in the FPS genre and it's looking like it will have a bright future as long as they continue to listen to the community and continue to make updates based on the ongoing feedback.

while i 100% agree i think disbanding lobbies are more of a problem. because even with sbmm I can still find some fun matches but the game just kicks me out to search for a new and potentially worse match even if I want to stay with the same people.

For aim assist to be that big of a problem for a guy like this it must be at least 60% of an aimbot I can't belive there would be many hackers if the game provides an aim bot that strong

Something a lot of people don’t discuss about SBMM is that if you’re always protected from playing against better players, then u never improve at the game, I remember I used to go negative all the time when I first started playing cod when I was 12 years old, but I slowly started learning from other players and now I have like a 1.8-2.0 KD, if I played in protected brackets, I would never be able to have that KD now because I’d just be going up against kids my age that are also new to online gaming, sometimes competition is good, it makes us all better.
