I apologize for the bad audio. I definitely missed that in this video. In the future I'll definitely have voice higher than any music. It's a work in progress and I do all my own stunts. Thank you. I hope you check out my other videos.
It would also help to have music that was less repetitive sounding. You had great content here and that took away and distracted from it. Thanks for the video and keep them coming!! :)
Thanks for watching some of the videos... We'll be talking more about the business side of things this year. Well that's my Goal. We also go Live and talk with people that have been running tint businesses to learn and share tips.
@@kevinhill.8 yes I had someone comment on that, I'll work on that for future videos. I'm just a Tinter Trying to be a videographer at times. Thanks for letting me know.
Well I didn't do the best editing the sound but yes Ceramic film will block out more heat than the other lines of film. I always try to use Ceramic for Full Windshield installs and just charge accordingly. I want to make a better updated video about Ceramic in the future. Thanks for checking it out.
Wow, I just got 5 percent all around on my vehicle. I was wanting to tint the windshield, but didn't want all the attention that gets from law enforcement. The 70 percent ceramic is definitely the way to go for that! I can't believe that the 5 percent did so poorly in that test, I feel like it's much cooler with the 5 percent versus nothing, but it almost seems like that does little to nothing with that test you did! Thanks for the great video!
Yeah it really depends on the line of film. A Ceramic will block out more heat than just a dark film. Just helping people understand why Ceramic costs more. 70% is a nice film that works and like you said might help keep the law from tripping to much. Thank you for watching, even though I know the sound wasn't very good.
Hey I appreciate it. I have to work on the music, that one was a little off but at least you understand what I was trying to say. Still learning how to give a presentation. Thanks for watching.
I had no idea that the 70% ceramic made that much of a difference. Thanks I just bought a semi and will definitely be adding this to the list of things to do to it.
I love all of your videos! can you do a video about how much tint (% & length) a new tinter should buy if starting own business? Also would love a price breakdown of what to charge customers!!! Thank you!
I have a video here based on roll sizes.. You have to look through my videos. I don't post or talk prices, they are different all over the country based on the market and brands used. Call around to the local shops and ask for the popular install prices and that will help you know what to charge. Stay close to them and don't undercut. You loose money and it also brings down the market prices.
70 percent ceramic tint over factory 20 is equal to about 14 percent tint. So basically, you could add a 15% tint on the front side Windows to make them look like they match!
Yes but I'm using this to show how 70% can benefit everyone being applied to a full windshield. Also 70% Ceramic over the rear on SUVs and Minivans because a lot of older people don't want to go dark but this will help keep the interior cooler. I do install a lot of 15% Fronts for another shop, but I myself use 20% and most of my customers are happy with it. Thanks for watching.
I just tinted my whole car expect windshield, thinking of getting 70% on windshield even though it's illegal in my state. Because heat comes most from damn windshield
Thats a good selling pitch " when we are young we want Darker tint" in reality 3m tint has different % of shade but all have the same quality of protection. I have 3m tint on all my windows. I have 70% on wield shield 50% on side doors ( driver and passenger) then 20% for my 4 back windows. Its literally light and day in the summer keeping out heat and keeping warm in winter. The front window for 3m for front wield shield is $300 to $500 just for that window fyi. But its worth it because that's where most sun hits. His a good sales person tho. I would said it differently as a sales person myself, I would have said "being younger we just want tinted windows for show but not for quality but the 3m isn't just tint but a item that will improve your vehicle in the summer from the heat staying cool and staying warm in winter". Then break it down further. Because regular tint is useless in my opinion it only provides shade but no heat reduction but 3m provides all around protection with all shades.
You definitely know what your talking about. Yeah as we get more WISER we want things for different reasons. I like to be comfortable and not just be dark anymore ha ha. Sounds like your ride is covered! 👍🏾
I live in Phoenix. I have ceramic all around. 20% all around and 70% on the windshield. My windshield made the biggest difference guys. He's on point. Thanks again Update 8 months later: as long as I’m in in a hot state. I won’t ever go back without a ceramic tinted windshield. It’s so good that I’m doing it for my girls car
Thank you for taking the time to comment. That's why I feel everyone can use 70% on their windshield. Thanks again, I hope you checked out some other videos.
@@Demidannyy 20% on the sides is pretty much the norm on the vehicles I tint. Also remember most SUVs and minivans have rear privacy glass that's close to 20% so it's common and most can see well out of it.
@@FadeToBlackLLC how much would it cost to get 70% ceramic tint on windshield, 20 side window and 5% on the 2 small back windows and rear windshield on a mustang?
I'm guessing that film has the Low Angle Haze that people talk about with some Ceramics? I've been using Panaflex 70% with no issues. Very clear film. Hopefully you get some clear film installed on there soon.
@@FadeToBlackLLC mmm yeah but Suntek CXP isn't ceramic, weird it's milky looking when the sun hits it. I dont notice it after a while, but when I first put it on I was a bit dissapointed. It does cut a good amount of heat though. 44% TSER if that's anything to go by.
Just had my car done-- 70 windshield and front, 5 rears. Outside looking in on the 70, you can see a slight tint. Will it cops care especially here in California? I doubt it. Inside looking out? Amazing! It's like viewing HDR in your car. You would probably need to go darker than 70 on the windshield if you are sensitive to bright lights coming at you. Doesn't do a whole lot to dim HID and bright LED headlights but cut the glare at bit.
@@FadeToBlackLLC Yeah Ceramic. It reduces the staring into the sun type of effect of bright headlights. LOL For me I really notice the clarity in my field of view more. Passengers don't even realized there's tint on the windshield until I say something.
@@TheWarptOne very much cool. But think about it's awesome stuffed. I'm one of the only shops that even carry it around here. I'm glad you are liking other.
I could not watch this because it completely annoyed my co-workers who demanded that I turn it down! And then I couldn't hear the message so I watched a different video. NO MUSIC IN FUTURE VIDS, dude!
Check out the comments, yeah I messed up my editing. Maybe one day I'll get another updated version. Thanks for letting me know again that I messed up the sound 😁
Nice video, crazy how much of a difference different films types make. I'm having trouble deciding on my car's tint, I want either 70% or 50% front windshield and front windows tint and 15% back windows tint with 35% back windshield tint (so I can see better backing up at night, that is a concern I have). However I don't know if these combinations make the transition look good or if lighter tint is even necessary for the back windshield tint for when backing up at night. Thanks, would help a lot and I value your expert opinion
When I back up I have a rear camera and I also use my mirrors and not the rear view mirror. I personally like to keep the shades all the same. So you are all over and that drives me a little crazy to be honest. I personally have 50% on both of my windshields so I’m cool with that. For sides and rear just do 20% and keep it simple.
Yes if you read some of the comments down below I we've been through this. I didn't realize it at the time. I'm working in it from here on out. Thanks for your comment!
This video was uploaded over a year ago. Some including myself like to plan out things on my vehicles for the upcoming year. There have been advancements in the Technology of window films that people can consider doing in the future. Thats why I said 2020 when it was upload last time if that makes sense?
Turn the music off so people can understand what you are saying. What is more important the music or whatever you are trying to say?? This video is pointless
Hey man I’m really enjoying the channel. Had a quick question tho. I have 3% tint on my rear windows and the front have 15%. I wanted to get my windshield tinted since it gets really hot. I wanted to go with the ceramic film but I also wanted some tint on the windshield. What would look the best for privacy but not have me on alert for the feds. I’m looking for a not really visible look through the windshield but also not something super dark. Preciate it brotha!
Thank you for watching. I'd do 50% on the windshield in Ceramic. A nice light smoke and if you open up the sunroof it let the windows down it will look lighter when you need it to. I have more videos coming up with 50% full windshield content, just need time to get them up.
Before you buy tint for your front window (it”s illegal in all 50 states by the way for a reason, look it up) ask your car insurance company if you are still covered if you hit a pedestrian at night while driving a car with a windshield modification that makes it illegal.
There's always that one guy. These are things we know and deal with EVERY DAY as a business owner. I don't tell Gun shops not to sell guns to people when they can be illegal as well. It's something that you need to have common sense with like most things in life. Also this film is clear so you wouldn't even know it's there 70% Ceramic Full Windshield. Thank you for your comment.
i see alot of 50 percent in the windshield even tho it looks nice , i know for a fact I wouldn't be able to see at night . 70 percent might be the move !
@@stevecarey5918 really? Windshields are tough especially since you are looking trough it constantly. I just replaced one because the customer thought it was tint and I found out it was his windshield.. A lot of wasted film on my part but he would have never believed me if I said it was his car. They are tough to deal with.
I pointed it at the object as if the sun was passing through a window and landing on it. As in your skin or the dash board and heating it up. The Ceramic tint is going to block out heat and less will enter the vehicle that's why I measured after the tint not ON the tint. If that makes sense?
If you wear Polarized sunglasses you will definitely notice that. Some films might have more of that look than others. The films I use don’t show that.
I’m debating on the % I should get.. 5% all around & 70% on the windshield OR 5% rear, 15% front & 45% windshield I want the complete privacy plus heat rejection but am a little sketchy with the 5% on the front two windows because of driving at night.. but during the day I don’t want people to see in so that’s why I’d do 45% on the windshield so it’d help but idk
Hey what’s up? Can you next time cut off the music while talking about the tint and etc. If you want music in the backyard then tone it way down a bit. Thank you.
Yes I know my editing short on this one and I've been trying make sure I fix that in future videos. Tinter first, video editor waaay far behind. Thanks for watching.
Yes, if you even skim over the comments it has been mentioned about the music. Hey I tint first and make videos last, I'm working on it in the current video if you take a look at those. 👍🏾
Been rocking ceramic tints for almost 6 years. My last car didn’t have this and I was being roasted like a turkey with the windows up and my arms were clearly a few shades darker. Ever since I got ceramic tints I’ve never had this issue. Need to get my windshield done now.
Ceramic Tint is good stuff, it's crazy no matter how much I talk about it people still have no idea about it. Full Windshield makes a world of difference.
I want to get my windshield tinted but I’m not sure if i should get 70% or 50%. What do you recommend? I’m in Florida so the sun is VIOLENT down here and my area is pretty lenient on tint laws
Been watching your channel and subbed for a while to it and never saw this video I found out the things your saying myself and it’s very accurate if I watched this sooner I would’ve told more people but great video man your a huge inspiration, from a young tinter trying come up like you 🙏🏽
I appreciate the kind words and I’m happy that I was able to help you out. I’m trying to get more Contant on the channel just been busy, but it’s motivating when I hear that I can help out others taking the time to get cotton on my channel. I appreciate you.
Is it normal to have a cloudy haze on your windshield when driving towards the sun with 70% ceramic tint after it was installed 4 days ago? And will the haze go away, or do I need to get the ceramic tint replacement on my windshield?
Some Ceramic will have a haze at certain angles. It's called Low Angle Haze. It might happen at certain times when the sun hits. You should really just talk to the shop that installed it if you feel there is an issue. Thanks.
what about in the winter when you r trying to defrost the front windhshied won teh ceramic tint block the heat front the heater in the truck so the windshield will get ice all over it thanks
No the heat from the defrost comes from the Vents in the dashboard, that has nothing to do with the tint. Ceramic film helps keep your interior temp more consistent during winter so your not getting blasted from the sun entering through the glass.
So I’m sold. But here’s my issue. I live in Colorado. No window tint on the windshield is legal here. Can I get away with a 70% if a cop pulls me over for something else would he/she notice? I can not do glare at night I need something!
I'm trying to figure out a tint for my cars, im in PA so I think the legal is only 70% on all windows. I'm going to have to go ask at the police station I think because the back glass is already smoked. I'd love to at least do 50 but the heat reduction is my main goal. The eye protection at night too, I've been behind cars now who's tail lights are bright enough to hurt.
Definitely go with a Ceramic film. That stinks you can only go 70% though. At least 50% would be nice. I'd do the whole vehicle including Windshield with the film though to help. Even over the oem smoked glass.
I install Carbon and Ceramic. Some of the Gen 4 Dyed stuff is a good product. I just found what works best for my Market and pricing. Some of the Dyed colors I don't care for as much either. I like a dark black looking film.
I’ve never had anyone complain about clarity. People love having their windshield tinted. If it cracks and gets replaced they come right back to have new tint installed.
Would it mess up my insurance policy if I tint the windshield with that 70% ceramic? Kinda heard that if involved in an accident,it will put me automatically at fault..something like that.
With this 70% it's clear no one can even tell it's been applied. I can't see why how you would have any issues with it? Chances are if you have an accident it wouldn't be related to being able to see out of the windshield. You should see how many people do 5% on there veh now a days. They can't see but it's on them.
Yes I know.. EPIC fail on my part....I've tried to work on that in my latest videos. Hey I hope you've check out some of my other videos too and Subscribed. Thanks.
For some reason Ceramic is now getting pretty popular. I won't confuse them with another level of Ceramic. Most just like the basic Ceramic I've been using now.
Im thinking of doing a 70% on my windshield in ceramic. I see you're using a panaflex on your sample... im being encouraged to go with Wincos 70 by Madico. i was told it has a slight blue hue.. i haven't seen it in person yet. looks like the panaflex was slight blue. are all the 70% slight blue that you have seen. I really think i prefer clear as opposed to a color.. TIA.. great video BTW
The Panaflex actually looks very clear no blue at all. I've seen some Llumar with a slight blue but when looking through it I think it's good. Check out my Impala video with the Colored tint, now that is very different looking through it.
@@FadeToBlackLLC I ended up going with 3M Crystalline 70% on the windshield and panoramic roof of my 22’ Lexus ES Ultra Luxury. I’m extremely happy with the result. No blue hue.. and immediately noticeable glare and heat reduction
@@OfficiallyTonyGianni that's awesome, glad it worked out for you! I have Ceramic on my Van as well and 70 is a great way to avoid problems with the law and reduce heat.
@@FadeToBlackLLC Haha! it's alluding to the scene in wolf of wall street when leonardo dicaprio says "sell me this pen." it's a compliment, I promise! lol
Hello. I recently got 3M ceramic IR 50% windshield tint. Last year, however, I got 3M Color Stable on the side and rear windows. As far as heat rejection goes, is it worth removing the color stable (nano carbon) film on the side and rear windows and installing ceramic film on the rest of the car? I have 35% on the front side and 5% on the rear windows. Will I feel a noticeable difference or should I save the money and keep the nano carbon film on the other windows or upgrade them to ceramic like I have on my windshield?
That's a good question. In the past I had Ceramic on the Full Windshield and Carbon on the sides. If you feel like the sides or rear still feels hotter compared to the Windshield I'd say yes change the sides. If you don't seem to notice I'd leave it. Driving into the sun with a Dyed Film on my windshield back in the day my hand would be hot. I switched to Ceramic and I could tell my hand on the steering wheel stayed cool. So go with what you feel. I hope that helps some. Hard to explain with typing.
@@FadeToBlackLLC thanks! I do feel a little warm from the sunlight sometimes through the driver’s side windows but I’m not sure if it’s worth the money/if it’ll truly cool down the car by a major noticeable difference or not if I switch to all ceramic.
@@gregoireansari6651 that's hard to really say. I drive directly into the sun heading west every day so when I switch to Ceramic I could tell right away. It just depends, a lot of variables but you will have to decide.
If you live somewhere hot as hell. Definitely get 70 ceramic on the windshield. It’s so good that I’m doing it for my girl friends car Monday. 50 is better but in my opinion a bigger gamble. Especially since I regularly travel to California
70% is virtually clear so what color you put on it will look pretty close to THAT color. If you install 70% over rear Privacy Glass like my latest video you won't notice it get any darker. Not enough to tell a difference.
You know I actually never try to upsell someone local when wanting something done. I do think that this is really nice to have on any vehicle. Young or old we all can enjoy the benefits of this film. Thank for watching. I want to film and install it on my truck when I get time.

In my state it is illegal to tint the windshield at all. Is it possible to get the benefit of ceramics with a 85-90%? Something that will go unnoticed?
