someone pointed out to me that ACKSHUALLY DI lets you influence 18 degrees not 16 degrees and im so mad because i somehow convinced myself that i was corrected from 18 to 16 but actually i just straight up wasn't so WHATEVER ITS 18 DEGREES IT'S MOSTLY IRRELEVANT BUT YEAH
Absolutely more please, Magi! I love this deep, analytical content that discusses as many potential ins and outs as possible in this incredibly dense game.
Please make a second part. This was concise, visually pleasing, and explained in a way to where a primarily smash ultimate player could perfectly understand. You threw at us several bits of new information in a very short time that made perfect sense despite that because it was all explained so well.
I always love your use of up air in combos, now I have a better understanding of its utility. You explain things very well, looking forward to the next part :)
Great content! I love hearing your insight 😄 I really liked how cohesive and fluid your explanations were. It really felt like one thought just flowed into the next!
I know u said that first hit upair can be sdi’d, but what do you think about first hit ff -> uptilt if u mixup the side u hit it on? (Against fastfallers)
yeah i didn't go into intentional first hit but it's good, i think it's especially useful after the percents where down air knocks down but before things like dash attack are good in combos. like 40-50% when they're low to the ground in the combo and you have enough time to do an aerial but the position is not really good for a hard hit, then i think first hit upair into shine/uptilt is good i'll try going over it in the next part
I’ve been doing single second hit up air with Falco so long that it’s nearly impossible for me to hit the first hit now it’s the opposite of my muscle memory 😭
