UPDATE: Following recent #Ubuntu OS updates, it seems that the issue mentioned at 5:28 is no longer occurring! As of today, I was able to add effects in #KDEnlive and enact more changes from #Glaxnimate with both applications open and utilizing the same file at the same time without any issues.

I've never heard about "glaxnimation". Sounds a good tool to quick integrate some motion graphics into kdenlive. Thanks for that!

The bug you reported in your video, the one listed on 5:28, is it more of a kdenlive bug or a glaxinimate bug? We can open a ticket and point this to each project so they can work on a bugfix if it is really a bug.

Hi Victor Westmann! Thank you for the feedback! This is a good question - When I initially tested this out, I encountered the issue several times. However, upon running more tests just today, it seems that the issue no longer occurs. I'm wondering if perhaps there was fault somewhere outside the application, utilizing an indirect library or dependency. Neither application has been changed since, but I have received 2-3 waves of Ubuntu OS updates after making that video. I unfortunately didn't think to capture syslogs at the time and verified that my logs have already rolled forward. In any case, I was able to enact file changes on both sides (both in KDEnlive with effects on the JSON file and adding new changes from Glaxnimate) and the changes flowed without issue. I'll add a new pinned commment on the video to share this update - Thank you!

Great video! One request: can you zoom in and out without the slow-moving 3D effect? It really kicks up motion sickness in those of us cursed with it. It's also a bit distracting from what you're showing. Thanks!

Hi C Rogers! Thank you so much for the feedback - I can certainly scale that back moving forward and I really appreciate the support! Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Do you know if glaxinimate can work with Blackmagic Davinci Resolve or with Blackmagic Fusion applications?

Thanks for the question! I'll do some digging into this, but I do see that Glaxnimate can export in typical movie or GIF formats, which should be portable into other video editing tools. I'm not quite clear if they would support the same integration capability of read-write lock friendliness and would need to research that a bit~

Hi, congratulations! Your tutorials are great! Thank you very much! I have questions. So I have to create one layer per object? Where exactly do I have to click to get a key frame? I click in the ruler of timeline and don't get key frames... And finally, how do I tell where I want my key frames when using the Record tool. Sorry, but it is not very clear that part :(

Hi Lobaluna! Thank you for the question! After at least one update to Glaxnimate, I've found it be slightly more intuitive. It looks that the animation process has been cleaned up to allow multiple objects, either added independently or added to a layer to be animated separately. The advantage is that is a layer can also be manipulated (or animated), like a group of objects. That being said, keyframes can be more easily created now by clicking the record button, then simply moving the timeline scrubber to the desired frame and enacting the desired change to the object or objects. The keyframes will drop automatically in the proper nodes and will auto generate the tween action. Looks like it may be time for another video on this tool! Hope that helps~
