My question is, can i dehydrate their fruits and veg? Sometimes they dont like certain veg in chunks. Or when other people in the household help to feed your pet, all the slicing, dicing, and measuring is complicated. Sometimes I dont want to do all that. Especially after Ive spent all day in the kitchen cooking and cleaning for us humans.

HELP! I have a German Shepard with some type of allergy or reaction going on. At first I thought it was chicken & turkey, so I took it out of her diet. She seem to have gotten better but then it came back. She only eats raw food or air dried. I only give her the filtered water that I myself drink…And she’s still having skin issues. It’s always around her snout & mouth. And it’s heartbreaking. I try all sorts of things like colostrum, probiotics in a water, i’ve tried to get her to take quercetin but it’s impossible to get it in her. Nothing seems to be helping. And the times when it’s really seeming to bother her, she tends to have diarrhea along with it😔
Thank you for reaching out and I'm sorry that you're dealing with so much for your Shepard. I highly recommend checking out our blog that has more information for helping with symptoms but also more on the root causes that can lead to this: thenaturalpetdoctor.com/the-holistic-guide-to-treating-dog-allergies-itchy-skin-and-yeast-infections/

Hi Maddie is a 16 month old Biewer Terrier. She had her first 2 vaccines from her breeder (parvo ans Distemper) and the final one, a 5-1, from a vet. She has been on a raw diet since we brought her home at 11.5 weeks. She eats Primal, VIVA and Small Batch. She is an itchy mess!! We think it’s from the 5-1 shot!! No toxins in our home at all. All clean products, no candles etc…We travel full-time in our RV. We add goats colostrum, pre & probiotics, ACV & Quercetin daily to her food. She also is given Pet Metabolism Balance daily. I have Wolf Creek Salmon oil coming. She does have lots of dandruff lately and we are currently in Arizona where the air is dryer. We run an air purifier as well. She does still have her 4 baby canines. Have not fallen out yet. She went into heat her first time at almost 13 months. Oh she weighs 4 pounds!! She scratches her sides, bites her legs (not feet) and rubs her mouth as much as she can. She also scratches her ears. No mites, no yeast. Just an itchy mess!! What am I messing? If she is still detoxing from the 5-1 vax how long do you think this will take?
@@sallibosch9504 I’m sorry that Maddie and your family is going through all of this! It can feel really frustrating. Reverse sneeze, regurgitating, reflux, anxiety, and as the weather changes to the colder months, it's a 2 to 3 times a day, and some perfumes set of Reverse sneezing. I've changed diets, removed dry kibble, Raw fed, pro/probiotics, hemp oil, Slippery Elm. Ginger, garlic elevated food chopped up.
@@shannonrobertson2449 I’m sorry to hear this. It can be so frustrating and it sounds like you’ve made some great changes. If you haven’t yet, I highly recommend checking out our other video on acid reflux: ru-vid.comkHlqVg-Utv8?si=0q3FZZ_NmZ4sYTPC. These symptoms are usually due to a digestive enzyme/stomach acid issue that turns into a microbiome issue. If you live in the States, there are some great products I mention in the acid reflux video that you can access 👍
@thenaturalpetdoctor Skin allergies BAD.. He's had allergies his whole life but never as bad as this. He was recently diagnosed with an MCT. I took him off apoquel about a month ago, had him on benadryl, then Zyrtec. put him on a holistic diet (Cloe's Proticol). He has been getting fed home cooked for the past 6 months. incorporated Cloe's protical into it about a month ago. Transition to raw 3 days ago.. His allergies are so bad that he bleeding all over the place. Under his chin, on this lips, around 1 of his eyes, in a few nail beds, armpits, all legs have a few bumps, just above his rectum and even his penis.. I feel like his gut has just been destroyed from the apoquel & antibiotics.
@@justinstimpsonThank you for sharing. I’m sorry that your boy is going through all of this. It can feel so frustrating and disheartening to watch this happen. I do have a blog post on some of the supplements that could help bring down the inflammation and itchiness along with some other areas to think about that could be off to help guide you: thenaturalpetdoctor.com/the-holistic-guide-to-treating-dog-allergies-itchy-skin-and-yeast-infections/. We have some other resources too to help pet parents dealing with these kind of issues, but I’d recommend checking out the blog since there could be some simple tweaks to help you right away ❤
@@justinstimpson Justin have you considered that he could be allergic to chicken? I've been seeing this more often with my customers at a pet nutrition store I work for.. They typically do well on something like Zignature brand (just an example) their food has no chicken, no grains, no soy, no gluten, no GMO Whatever brand or whatever you give in terms of home cooked, I would consider making sure none of these ingredients are in there (rice is a grain, it's so common most people don't think about it) look for food that is called "Limited ingredient" eliminate all of those things from treats also.. just give something basic and more natural like a bully stick or center bone with bone marrow.. Give distilled or purified water, try to avoid tap water unless it's filtered.. I would recommend giving a good probiotic/digestive enzyme daily, A spoonful of pure pumpkin mixed into his food every other day and a spoonful of pure unrefined organic coconut oil mixed into his food on the opposite days.. Also a few drops of a good quality fish oil would be so beneficial to his whole body because it reduces inflammation and can help to resolve skin issues, it's also great for joints. Since he is so severe then certain natural herbs which help reduce inflammation might be beneficial but personally, I would try all of the above things first for about a week and see how he does, then you could incorporate supplements if necessary.. Also considering environmental factors.. Eliminate things like scented candles, scented oils like those plugins, think about cleaning products you might be using or even laundry detergent, switch to hypoallergenic products for sensitive skin.. When I went through it with my cat I stopped using all chemicals and cleaned everything with vinegar and baking soda. Unfortunately there might also be outside irritants but if his immune system can get stronger then hopefully it could fight those things better.. One final thing is, I'm sure he is very stressed from all of this so it might be nice to give a dose of CBD oil which could also reduce inflammation, help with pain or soreness, obviously anxiety, etc.. Oh yeah I thought of one more thing.. if it happens to be a reaction if it happens to be a reaction to flea bites or even the chemicals in flea treatment then maybe try using diatomaceous earth (food grade) instead of chemical products, it's safe for them to ingest and even kills intestinal worms Also if you're bathing him with anything make sure it's all natural we sell a few good ones at my job but off the top of my head I think one is called Earth Animal Good luck, I feel for you, I've been through this but if you're but if you're strict and consistent with everything then you should be able to get him on track within a month. Sorry for the long message but I hope this information is helpful.
