I put my stepfather on Ridin Dirty when he came home from the feds I was 16!!! That album brought that man back to the free world!!! Wicked trippin folk!!!
@@p2a0p2e0r1 yep, Pimp C went in on Atlanta and ever since it's been some low-key hating from Atlanta artist to Texas artists. The Trap Museum in Atlanta has no Texas artists in it, but Yo Gotti & Boosie are shown.
Facts bhigh said it, he snapped.....its a difference between rapping and snapping and Bun b blacked out....i think he was posessed by the rap gods or something
Fuk no ball and g aint fukin with pimp everybody never heard of 8 ball and mjg but I promise everybody heard of ugk even if they dont fuk with them they heard of them
Nah. Comin Out Hard every time. 9 Lil Millimeter Boys, Armed Robbery, Mr. Big, Comin Out Hard, Pimps, Pimps in the House. Mich love to both but ain't many albums I'm choosing over Comin Out Hard.
Both was classics. But riding dirty was for the culture. That album still has a impact come on diamonds and wood. One day. Touched. I ain’t tapping shit till the money in my hand.
They both was for the culture!!! Tha fuck is wrong with you??? If you got a preference, then say that, then, but, to saying one is for the culture, and the other is not is BLASPHEMY!!!
Coming Out Hard is mad underrated especially for the time it came out, they slammed on everybody with that one. Ridin' Dirty? Inspired a whole generation of rappers. Both were great in their own right.
I'm from Ga and I've had plenty arguments and damn near fights bout this, but I fucks with UGK more than Outkast, and will tell anybody Ridin' Dirty is better than any Outkast album, and my list goes 1. UGK 2. 8ball and MJG 3. Outkast in the ultimate southern group argument, and I love Outkast too.
I have the biggest smile on my face after hearing and seeing this, I am from Texas but the fact that we are having this discussion about the two legendary groups I am just so so thankful and happy
The Diary, Untouchable, Last of a Dying Breed, The Fix, Emeritus!!! Not to mention his Geto Boys catalog!!! Resurrection and The Foundation!!! Nigga please. FaceMob is SOUTH!!!
Man yall brought back so many memories...this is powerful..some ppl have never heard these southern rap albums...and they are forever classics..that have and will get you through a lot of real life situations..they speak to your soul..on the real ✊🏾..💯
Man Fly is a true southern underground King that should get more recognition..As a southern MC he is up there with a Scarface..Imagine Fly and Face on a track in the early 2000s
B-High is not lying...Playa Fly is a legendary lyricist from Memphis and has AT LEAST 3 classic Southern albums including Da Game Owe Me. Blackout on production. Mannn...are you kidding me Wick? Fly's DNA is all through Memphis and DEFINITELY all thru Atlanta. Ask Pastor Troy. Just by influence alone...Fly stays on the list.
How people always leave out Dirty “ da pimp and gangsta”??? That’s one of the smoothest southern hip hop records of all time bro. Go back and listen to it now. Also Trick Daddy “ www.thug.com”, Goodie Mob “ still standing”, David Banner “ Mississippi tha album”, Scarface “ untouchable”, Mac “ shell shocked” and Witchdoctor “ a s.w.a.t.s healing ritual”
But he’s just comparing the two albums so I get what he saying. ... not speaking in totality ... now he is tripping saying Ugk don’t have an album that’s top 10 out the south ...
Comin Out Hard is a certified classic no doubt buttttt Ridin Dirty, damn damn damn! Pimp C on the chords, the interludes, and Bun on Murda...hands down a southern classic and top 10 album of all time!
I'm from Memphis. 8Ball and MJG- are Legends......I love UGK.... But Ball & G you can still ride, vibe & relate to their old music.... in 2021..... Our Memphis Pioneers don't get enough public Credit... its probably because we are so raw
Top 10 south albums 1. Mac- shell shocked 2.Young Bleed-balls and my words 3.Geto Boyz- Resurrection 4.Juvenile - 400 5.8ball and MJG- on top the world 6.UGK-Riding Dirty 7.Outkast-Aquemini 8.Master P.- Ghetto D 9.3-6 Mafia- When the smoke clears 10.David Banner- Mississippi
“Big Mike”World of mines “Tela” Sho nuff “Crimeboss” Put’em up I can go on for days song for song Rappers for Rappers 90’s to 2000’s Dude naming good rappers and albums but not in proper context💎
@Jamaal Davis the sound on that album wasn’t a Houston sound bro, yeah they were in Houston but NOTHING that came out of Houston sounds like coming out hard. Houston’s music was way smoother and laid back, Coming out hard was aggressive. It was a Memphis sound. All the way down to the snares and hi hats. Houston didn’t use those types of snares and tripled hi hats back then. That’s Memphis bro. Now everything after Coming out hard had a more Houston sound because T Mixx started producing them then. Comin out hard is produced solely by Ball and G. Facts!!!
@@GrinchyGreen334 But they was really in theses Houston streets.Realy getting the vibe of the city.It was a lot of Houston in they music.Ppl don't really know the sound of Houston.Houston is all sounds .We been had that type music. Why u think we embrace Ball an G.Houston is deep in this rap shit. Some many stolen styles an swag, they stay wit it.
@@derrickpennie8768 I get what you mean bro, Houston has always had good music, but u got to be honest...Coming Out Hard does not have a Houston sound. Listen to all the albums after Coming out hard that Ball & G released on Suave house, they all sound completely different from Coming Out Hard. On the outside looking in, On top of the world, No more glory, Lost and In our lifetime are all the albums they released on Suave after Coming Out Hard...None of those albums sound like Coming out hard. Those albums definitely have a big Houston and west coast kinda influence. But Coming Out Hard sounds straight Memphis.
