Widebody Challenger Scat Pack vs 2021 Camaro SS!! Stock vs Stock 

Same here, these are some damn good runs. I currently have a ‘19 Mustang GT/CS and previously had a ‘16 Charger Scat Pack and I love seeing any of these cars run each other. It’s gonna suck when everything is all electric one day

Doesn't make sense I beat scatpacks in my 2015 mustang GT but Camaro SS usually beat me on a roll. Most there races were dead even .

I've been hobby racing for almost 20 years man I think I know what I race or pull next to (the difference between a Challenger two-door and a charger four-door lol) it's because the weight ratio brother, my car isnt stock by any means but it isn't no whipple modded hardcore machine either ,scat packs don't lose tremendously but they sure as hell never have beat me or win . Now my brother which is my roommate hasa newer RT Challenger and he gets beat sometimes by the turbo EcoBoost mustang and those are pretty stout with the 10spd can beat gts when moded.

I can see your comment was two years old but as of now September 2024 there are tons of these EV's sitting on dealers' lots because the public does not want them. GM and Ford have already pulled back on the production of EVs. There is nowhere near the number of charging stations needed for electric cars to be feasible...some people just don't want to accept the fact that the majority of Americans do not want them.

In comparison the 2ss is lighter and would have an advantage. Yeah the scat pack has roughly 30 more horse and a bit more torque. Either way I'm not knocking Either car. Personally I've got a 2021 scatty.

I got a 2019 10 speed 2 ss convertible I think the weight of the convertible but me nd scats are neck nd neck I can’t get a pull neither can they it all depends on who hits that jump first after the count down but from a dig I always take the win

Even though the scat weighs more, the Camaro still had a passenger and the scat pack did not have a passenger so it technically wasn’t a fair race, and seeing how close the race was the Camaro definitely would have one if it didn’t have the extra 150 pounds in it.

@@colleenbeckt4956 ss and gt is a drivers race but 5.0 usually pulls up top if it has the 3.15 gears. Scatpack gets gapped by both the as and GT “. The scat in this video must’ve been a factory freak, ss also had a passenger. But I’ve raced 2 challenger and 3 charger scats in my stock 10 speed mustang and it’s 2-3 car lengths every time.

@@Swaaqqq143its a no brainer. Challenger offers more for the money. Plus its higher quality and the ZF transmission is in a league of its own. I have driven 2 10 spd 5.0s and 1x 6 spd car. Maybe the challenger is a few tenth behind the 10 spd cars but make no mistake... Mopar has the finer machine. Uconnect, stock 20 inch wheels, valet mode to protect your car from aholes and track when u wanna race it, the body lines, the brembos all the way around, the clean engine bay, -- why does the mustang and Camaro engine bay look so messy? Yet the mopar has everything neatly tucked away... the fact that u can actually daily it since you know... U can actually see out of it unlike to camaro... C'mon dude. Mopar is killing it. Don't be surprised when GM stops building the Camaro... Did u hear the mustang is moving to a larger platform? Looks like they have noticed mopars winning recipe.

@@batman-telephoneman5479 AldoWelds, Midnight Performance, Mustang Lifestyle, people who work at Lund Racing and Palm Beach Dyno, all of them have said the rods and pistons are safe well into the 700’s for Gen 2 and 3, as far as factory motors go the Coyote is the most stout, and the 392 is the weakest. Mopar maxed the 6.4 out from factory and left very little on the table.

Ive beaten a lot of mustangs with the 10 speed. haven't ran a pp1. i know they're faster due to better gearing than the regular 10 speed. i know ill lose to the pp1 in my scat but i beat 10 speed camaros and 5.0

This a fully loaded 2SS which can usually sit around 3800lbs or more, not a base 1SS which is less than 3640 lbs. camaro also had a passenger which could likely add another 200 lbs which makes it a close race.
