Why the heck did they even choose this plot as their series premiere? We don’t know anything about these characters or their relationships. So the conflict of one of them leaving doesn’t hold any weight. I can see this plot happening but it’s way too early for it.
I say this is a bad start. We NEED to know these characters first and foremost or we have no reason to really care about their relationship. Bad start but that doesn't it can't pick up later.
gonna be honest, I felt like they handled the story a lot better in the 5 minutes than TYT ever did, and it did not have an obnoxious sparkle sound effect every so often. It's just a basic kids show, not better than FIM obviously but still not too bad
@@songtogalatea FiM had longer episodes and had a bit more story, even in the first few episodes. Wild Manes can definitely have this in later episodes, though.
The character Coco is supposed to be a great listener according to her biography on the Wild Manes website. This episode did not prove that Coco is a good listener when she takes things wildly out of context.
If Cherry's life or business was interrupted by said mis-information, then it would serve as good lesson to be solid in your facts as it can damage someone life.
Oof. Well, I haven’t seen the show yet, so thanks for keeping me as spoiler free as possible. I’m leaving it up to my community to decide whether this is worth my time, so we’ll see what happens with that. Hopefully you think Episode 2 is better because the plan is to review them both back to back on my channel, before continuing on weekly from there.
Just gonna leave my thoughts here. I thought it was all right. Not great, not awful, just middle of the road all right. I didn't mind the story all that much, and I did appreciate that the pacing was rather smooth for a five minute episode show. The part that bothered me was the characters, well, half of them. Mainly Candi, being the influencer pony that she is, and switching from crying (Tears that disappear into thin air like a crying emoji, might I add) to hitting up her TikTok stand-in viewers cheerily to venting to her viewers. And worse is Bailey, who can hardly speak without referencing something related to surfing. It's only on its first episode, so I would suggest you go watch it and decide for yourself. Me? I'm going to watch a bunch of episodes as per its release schedule, and if I don't like it, maybe drop the show after about five episodes.
@@SmokeTheHorsehog That sounds fair. The decision appears to have overwhelmingly been made on my poll too, so I guess it’s official. I’m jumping right on in. I’m currently refraining from watching the first episode until Episode 2 comes out on Friday (I think?), so I can watch them back to back and review them. Despite the similar modern premise to TYT, I intend to treat this as separately from G5 as possible and judge it on its own merits because that’s how it’s meant to be analyzed. I don’t want to use the show as an anti-G5 weapon like most people are apparently doing. So thanks for the recommendation. This certainly is going to be interesting. :)

It was a pretty meh attempt at the time looking back, but who knows? I might be able to deliver something better nowadays.
Yeah.. It was rushed and yeah.. It was kinda confusing. The only Positive thing I have is I love the pony Artwork they did. And also, I was actually there when it came out and well, yeah.. I agreed with this one. It was eh.. kinda average.
Personally I didn’t mind it. It’s obviously no MLP killer 🙄. It’s not over the top but it’s not horrible. It is what it is. I don’t mind watching further episodes. Is it a rip off? I honestly don’t think so. It’s just taking advantage of a particular genre. Sure there might be similar elements and such but not a direct rip off. It’s like that whole argument of Overwatch vs Paladins 😂 Besides it’s only the first episode and it IS aimed for tiny female humans.
I was really excited for this show and the first episode was a bit boring in my opinion lol but it’s still a new show and has plenty of room to grow and improve
I really enjoyed this first episode, and I felt a lot of enthusiasm, vivacity and good humor between the horses 🐎 they are really elegant and magnificent, my favorite will always remain Candie, Cocoa and Cherie One of the characters you saw first is called Finley And in the next episode which will take place on July 19, we will have another character named " Perla " and it seems that she likes to give parties, dance classes, and concerts like " Pipp Petals " and I know on the other hand that she reminds me so much of a character in a video game ^ ^ Good video
It's interesting to get a different perspective on this, but I will say, the show, in my opinion, is good. Granted, it did have a questionable start, but it's very clear that it still has room to grow. I'm sure that after the fourth episode, opinions will be changed on the series as a whole.
I watched the cartoon and it was good, but nothing’s close to MLP and other horse shows like “Mister Ed” from the 1960’s and “The Lone Ranger” in the 1950’s with Silver as a horse. This new series is a cash grab.
I didn't like the show. Generic modern setting, every character has the identical body and the only difference between them are various often badly combined color schemes(did EVERYONE need to have streaks in their manes and multiply colors?). Its like Among Us characters but as ponies and with obnoxious voices. This show will make people appreciate TYT more and effort they put in music, voices and character design.
Yeah I haven’t seen this show but others act like this is better than tyt. To be honest I could care less about this show, it just like any other generic girly shows out there. ( also I did not mean to bully you the other week I apologize for that) sometimes I don’t take criticism too well. I hope you understand.
@@AddyLovestar The fact that main character has a Cocosa stand instead of Smoothies and another is an influencer feels like they were aiming at ripping of TYT rather than MLP in general, especially that both are 5 minute shorts on you tube
I did not like thi sas the first episode !i have no feelings for these characters so no reson for me to care if one is leaving. they did not introduce us to the characters or the world at all.
Not as good as Tell Your Tale but the animation at least looks descent I saw another mlp show called Fillyfantasia that show is uglier! The ponies in Fillyfantasia are ugly not pretty like in Tell Your Tale! At least the ponies designs are desent in Wild Manes but I still prefer the Mane 5 designs in G5! As for the story the first episode it feels like a really bad episode of Tell Your Tale! There's also no songs unlike Tell Your Tale I heard there was supposed to be songs maybe there will be songs in the next episode?
We show this stuff to kids, and that's why I review it. Because it has a responsibility to be intelligent and kind-hearted and thoughtful. It's media that's going to shape the minds of its audience. What we portray in kids' media says a lot about our culture Also, we're BOTH watching a show for kids. I'm just expressing my thoughts on what I watched. That's all. Relax
And I’m so tired of people who get sensitive over people just giving their thoughts on something and claiming that kids don’t deserve good and thoughtful media
