Kevin Durant had a playoff series to remember, but the Brooklyn Nets still lost in seven games to the Milwaukee Bucks. KD got a lot of praise during the playoffs, but also has a critic in six-time NBA champion Scottie Pippen. Pippen indirectly spoke about Durant while comparing him to LeBron James, saying that quote 'surpassing LeBron takes more than an individual's effort.' Marcellus Wiley and Emmanuel Acho debate whether they agree with Pippen's comments about KD.

You can try as hard as you can but the Cavs were nowhere close to being a super team. They were mediocre at best even with Kyrie. LeBron made them super. Kyrie couldn't take the Cavs to the playoffs and neither could KLove take the Wolves.

It was always weird to me that people always say “the thunder were amazing they just ran into lebron” but don’t mention wade averaging 23/6/5 and while being 6 inches shorter actually had FOUR MORE blocks in the series, and the same amount of steals, Bosh having 15/9, battier having 12/3/, and chalmers having 10/4/3 that was a legitimate all out full team effort, the thunder only had 3 players on the whole team in double digits, not at all tryna minimize lebron I think he’s the second greatest player ever at worst he’s third, but let’s stop acting like it was only lebron, yes he should get the large share of the credit but stop with “they ran into lebron” NO they ran into the heat who had their whole starting lineup in double digit scoring

The Nets didn't win Game 5 because of the best game of KD's career. The Nets won game 5 because Jeff Green went 7/8 from 3 pt. The Nets lost games 6 and 7 because they can reproduce a KD 40 point game but they couldn't reproduce a 30 point bench scorer.

He made a superteam with Bosh and Wade who by the way was a finals MVP and the best scorer in the league. But they LOST against the Mavs and the Spurs. James lost 2 times with a fully load and healthy superteam. He came back to Cleveland and we all saw what happen when Kyrie and Love get hurt. We also saw what happen without Anthony Davis for the 3 seasons where James is at LA. He talks about his shoulders bla-bla-bla against the Suns , but he didn’t shows up. Then like always all the excuses came up « oh he was hurt » Lol . It’s not like what happen to KD didn’t happen to James , it’s the same things but the only difference is that KD didn’t lose yet with 2 superstars on the floor. Lebron would never have taken that shot. His reputation was passing it to his teammates. But KD's teammates were launching bricks. He had to carry that team. Even Harris forgot how to shoot and Harden didn't want the smoke.

Funny how lebron quit on his team by walking off against the suns twice and now he's the greatest if you let Wiley tell it. I'm just glad Michael Jordan doesn't talk carelessly like pippen and other players. Guy just builds his brand and stays quiet. Who has a case to challenge LBJ? I haven't seen anyone cause as long as people like you continue to give KD every excuse in the world for losing he'll never be the best player in the world. Now if you want him to be on Bron's level then treat him how y'all would've treated Bron had that been him that went 0-6 in OT with an air ball at the end. Until people do that, then what people are saying is that KD isn't on Bron's level because it would be unfair to judge KD the way LeBron is judged. If he was on Bron's level, it'd be fair.

Harden wasn't a "Baby Harden" in OKC. When he was traded to Houston, he immediately erupted for 2K numbers. That lends to believe that he was underutilized in OKC.

Those teams should sound familiar to you because they have *all* beaten Lebron in the Finals! You guys have ZERO basketball acumen because you just listen to narratives without any context. How about the fact that Russell Westbrook got injured in the 2013 playoffs and missed a huge chunk of the 2014 NBA season with injury? Serge Ibaka got injured and missed the first few games of the 2014 Finals causing the Thunder to lose to the Spurs in the WCF. How about Durant missing basically the entire 2015 NBA season with a foot injury? How about the fact that LeBron was the only player in the Eastern conference on a Big 3 from 2013 - 2018. You think maybe those things could be factors for why KD has been in the Finals far fewer times than LeBron has?

From 2015 to 2018 these are teams CLE played in the East Conf Finals: 2018 - BOS: Tatum's rookie year, Brown's 2nd yr 2017 - BOS: Isaiah Thomas (5'10) was their best player 2016 - TOR: DeRozen & Lowry, built only for regular season 2015: ATL: Horford, Korver, Milsap, another team built for regular season Bottom line the East was awful during LeBron's 2nd run in Cleveland. Yes he deserves a lot of credit but don't overstate it. If he "dominated" it's only because all the good teams were in the west. For 4yrs CLE had an easy road to finals.
