The New York Giants have parted ways with head coach Joe Judge after just two seasons. Judge is coming off a four-win season and a last place finish in the NFC East. Judge's overall record in his two seasons as head coach is 10-23. Marcellus Wiley and Emmanuel Acho identify the Giants' biggest issue heading into the offseason.

@@jaylock9twenty5 Their record this yr is very misleading. Check out who they beat during their 7 game win streak. Majority were trash teams. Jets twice, Giants, Panthers, Saints with 3rd string QB, injury depleted Ravens team that finished 8-9 , they beat NE 2x but NE has a rookie QB. They got blown out vs playoff caliber teams such as TB, Bills 2x, Colts, Tenn & lost to at the time, winless Jags. Lots of better HC out there then Flores. I'd bring in Harbaugh for an interview. Guy's won at SF and college.

That’s because in his rookie yr they had OBJ so the defense was reluctant to stack the box with him on the field once gettleman traded OBJ without a back up plan for a true number one WR they were able to stack the box on one of the worst o lines in the nfl so yeah his numbers went down severely

After getting a GM & the GM gets a head coach, they should get a new QB. That way all 3 can last 4-5 years together and hopefully something of an improvement can happened because progression can't happen in 2 years. NY tying the GM, HC, & QB together, they should last the same length as the rookie contract

They have to find the right QB though. They can’t go reach for one they don’t fully believe is going to be a Franchise QB. Look what happened with Jones. The Giants passed up on drafting a very underrated pass rusher in Josh Allen ( a position the Giants are still horrible at) to grab Jones and look how that’s panning out

@@freshmontana22 they have the draft picks & cap space to get a QB in the draft or free agency. But i think it's time to move on. Most coaches or GMs are tied to the people they draft. It's just smart to get a new QB to go with a new GM & coach. If the team sticks with Jones while getting a new GM & coach & Jones continues to play subpar then they aren't going to last 2 seasons.

Especially if there adre better prospects coming out next year and we still have a horrendous OLine. Why draft a new QB to come into a situation where he has not time to throw

It’s the offensive line. It has been for a decade. These QBs, WRs, and RBs cannot perform when the offensive line is trash. Not to say the skill position players are all world, but we will never know with the oline they have fielded.

Joe judge was a victim of Dave Gettleman messing up a bad situation and making it worse. As well as having Garrett forced on him and not being able to pick his own guy. And I would’ve wanted to see who he got he did great poaching Graham from Miami.

My thing with these two gentlemen is this. For starters both these men maid great points. Everything they both have said are one hundred percent correct. Now what they are not bringing up is that in the end the real culprits are the owners themselves. Despite the fact everybody underneath them have to accountable for their actions. In the end the owners have allowed these mistakes to happen period.

Wiley was wrong saying management is not to blame. They are because it starts with them, they hire the GM. As we all know, Gettleman was a horrible GM, and he was wrong about Judge. He has blame as well for his poor decisions, whether it's poor choice of time outs, or coaching staff picks, and his lying to media and fans after games. He was just not a good hire. Jones also has blame for all of his turnovers, poor decisions, and you can't necessarily blame the poor o-line for that. His fumbles were in him, ball security was an issue before he was drafted and continues to be. Barkley was a mistake by Gettleman, while he can be a good player, Gettleman picked him too high and passed on better fits.

Wiley is right though. Judge wasn't the problem but Acho is also right that he wasn't the solution and that is because he lacked the experience to take a dumpster fire of a team and coach them to successes. An experienced HC might have salvaged an extra game or two but you would still be in a losing record because ultimately the GM wiffed on almost every pick. Thomas is shaping up but his OT peers in his class have been better and they were all there for the taking. Ojulari is probably the only other one that stands out. Almost every other pick is a big time bust.

I don't understand how you can effectively judge Saquon and Daniel Jones. The NYG have had one of the worst O-Lines in football for the past 5-7 years. How do you expect Saquon and Jones to perform, when there is basically no run blocking and the qb has less than 3 seconds for any plays to develop and is consistently running for his life? If you give Jones some time he will probably be a halfway decent option. I will concede the point that Saquon hasn't looked the same after his injury, but the lack of decent run blocking lineman just magnifies that situation 10 fold. There are no receiving threats so teams just stack the box against the NYG awful O-line and the rest is history. Fix the O-line and everything will start to improve.

Of course saquon has been hurt, with the o line that the giants have had he might have better luck just running in an open field. When the offense is hand it off and watch you get hit, the body can only last so long

Saquon's OL , asides from Andrew Thomas, is full of backup and backup backups at the other 4 positions. OJ in his prime couldn't do anything behind this joke of a OL. Draft OL with both of the #1 picks! The game is won-lost in the trenches!

I liked judge but he had to go. Get the gm on the same timeline as the hc. Get rid of the training and injury staff and star fully fresh instead of peice mealing staff. Let the gm take control fully for 3 to 4 years
