A couple months back I put out a video comparing Iridium, ACS1 and the Universal Audio Ruby and Dream. All four of these products are amp and cab simulators.
In short, Ruby and Dream did very well. Iridium, not so much.
Very quickly I received comments about using Iridium with aftermarket IRs (something I did not do in the first comparison video).
So today, I've purchased some shiny new IRs from Tone Factor and we're going to see if they make a difference.
"A" is a stock strymon IR with an alnico blue speaker
"B" is a Tonefactor IR (aftermarket) with a G12M and 545 mic.
"C" is a Tonefactor IR with a G12M and SM57 mic.
