It is Finished and all you have to do is believe on Him and what He has accomplished on your behalf and by the sure promise of God, you will have everlasting life and be guaranteed Heaven. The gospel of salvation is simply The death, burial ressurection of christ, and understand that we're all sinners who's in need of a savior, and that there's nothing we can do aside from trusting in the gospel for our salvation, and that we cant lose our salvation once we have it. It's always interesting how those who insist you must get water baptized and point to Acts 2 will cringe if you point at Acts 5 and tell them they have to sell all their possessions. Believe on the Lord, Jesus Christ, that He was brutally murdered, though He was completely innocent, buried, and rose from the dead on the third day to pay for our sins, though He was perfectly sinless. If you sincerely believe this in your heart and confess it with your mouth, then you are saved. God, the Father, loves us so much, that He sent His one and only Son, to die for us. Because God is ultimately just, and our sins needed to be paid for somehow. They are either paid for by Jesus and believing on Him and in return, we get everlasting life in Heaven with our Creator, which we don’t deserve, or they are paid for by us by spending eternity in hell, which we do deserve because sin is so unholy to our most perfect and righteous God. That’s my best shot at a 30 seconds or less gospel

I grew up church of Christ, he’s being purposely vague about what he believes about salvation in order to be palatable to a larger audience so the money can keep rolling in. Church of Christ absolutely teaches works salvation. I call it the church of chains.

I can confirm that when I had a personal encounter with Jesus in my apartment. I confessed my sins and spoke out loud that I accept Jesus as my lord and savior. At that moment the most peaceful feeling fell over me and I felt demonic oppression leave me. I was convicted to get rid of all my witchcraft items and my heart towards God completely changed. Later I decided to get baptized not to catch the Holy Ghost but more so to be an action of public declaration. I already knew I had been baptized by the Holy Spirit because I felt it in the moment I declared and believed Jesus was Lord. That was my proof right there that water baptism is more so a way to declare your new life publicly and not so the sole point at which you receive the Holy Ghost/are saved.

The problem is that there's no clear teaching on how water baptism symbolizes the true, Spirit baptism. Most saved believers, baptized by the Holy Spirit don't even know that they have been baptized by the Spirit, when it happened, what the Spirit baptized them into, or for what reason.

1 Peter 3:21 tells us that baptism is not a work of righteousness. It is an appeal to God through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Note: Jesus also commands us to baptize in Matthew 28:19. Not saying you aren't saved if you haven't been baptized but I am saying if your church does not baptize then your church is in disobedience.

If water baptism could save us, then every time we take a bath in the name of Jesus, we would be saved. Sounds a little silly, we are washed in the blood for the forgiveness of sins when we believe the gospel. Jesus also said they were made clean through the word in John. I am curious to know how the Dispensational/Free Grace frame work handles, “I (Paul) was still unknown by sight to the churches of Judea which were in Christ; but only, they kept hearing, ‘He who once persecuted us (the church in Judea) is now preaching the faith (the system of belief preached by Peter and the other apostles) which he once tried to destroy.’” According your system, Paul was preaching a new/completed gospel, which did not exist and was not preached until the middle of Acts, so how could also be preaching the “different gospel” from the first half of Acts which at that point he was trying to destroy?

There are seven baptisms. I'm not a hyper dispensationalist.. but John the Baptist baptism was not believers baptism. In Acts 18.. Apollo's got baptized again after he had the gospel expounded unto him more perfectly. John the Baptist was not preaching the life, death, burial, and resurrection... The gospel of the kingdom is different than the gospel of the grace of God.

Why is the gospel so hard for people to understand? Wait let me rephrase that why is the gospel so hard for almost all Christians to understand that is hard for me to understand. I've been born again for 23 years and after about 8 months of being saved I would say can't remember exactly. I knew that I was saved because of God alone and not anything that I did or was doing. I started using drugs and drinking after I was saved. Not before. I have been free from that for a very long time now but still works of the law getting baptized. All of that stuff has nothing to do with salvation. It's the one who doesn't work, but who just believes that is justified and has peace with God. It's the one who is poor in spirit who two belongs the Kingdom of heaven It's the one who is like a child and doesn't have anything to offer as far as works and repentance goes that enters into the kingdom

Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, God's Son came down from heaven, took upon himself flesh. lived a perfect life, died for your sins on the cross. Rose from the dead on the 3rd day. Everyone is a sinner, including you, thus you need a saviour. You have to believe in Him to be saved. Not your works (aka repenting of sins), but in Christ alone. You can't lose your salvation.

First of all the Salvation would not be complete without Jesus Death, Burial and Resurrection. If one of these things does not happen then Jesus Mission would not be complete.
