Back around 2009-2010 they were setting up the wind farm at Salisbury, New Brunswick and unloading everything at the Port of Saint John, New Brunswick. To get everything there they had to close down the Saint John Harbour Bridge and use the West bound lane of the bridge to get the convoy across and then remove the concrete center median to get the convoy back into the East bound lanes and get thew barriers back in place before the morning rush started, this went on for about 10 days starting at about 4 am, they moved a complete wind turbine a day. Great video.
A lot more planning goes into these big moves than people realize! And I know we disrupt traffic so the general public doesn’t always compassion for us. Part of the game. Thanks for following 😊
Still doing catch-up here😂. When I watched a video of one of the ALE Heavylift, they had a transformer (around 400 ton+/-), and they had to disconnect the front tractor, and the rear tractor would then haul it, backwards, about half a mile or more, then re-connect the front tractor, to then turn left on its journey. I'm now watching your bit on ice road trucking😂😂
If you are from the Quebec area we are always hiring. But you can expect a few years of regular flatbed work until they trust you with the bigger stuff. Good luck 👍
@@luckybananaheavyhaul3407 thanks for the information! Seems like other companies have no patience for drivers not from the industry. But how are you suppose to learn if you’re never given a chance. Much appreciated!
My advise is to apply at companies who you regular flatbed as well as oversize. They can start you on the regular stuff and you can move up when you’re ready without changing companies. Good luck!
There was a new wind farm put in just outside Saint John NB last year, blades came into Bayside port, was you guys involved in that move?I remember seeing them being moved but I don,t remember the color of the trucks.I live 20 minutes from Bayside port.
I was involved in one around the Salisbury area last year. The parts came out of the port in St John. It was actually an old project and they were replacement parts
Maybe place two cameras on the roof of truck, one facing forward & one facing rearward. Also put a microphone on the outside passenger side of the truck, as well as one on the trailer. Then tie it all together for the video. 🙏🏻
@@luckybananaheavyhaul3407 j’ai partagé tes vidéo avec un à ami et lui disait que quand tu dis à ta femme que tu as passé la journée avec des escortes, il ne faut pas qu’elle soit trop jalouse 😂😂😂😂
@@luckybananaheavyhaul3407 you said in another video that blade from gaspesie are shipped by boat. is it even posible to ship by road from gaspesie? we have been around the gaspe peninsula and the road is crazy!
@@luckybananaheavyhaul3407 it sure would be. we drove our pickup truck and large travel trailer all the way around a couple of years ago. the steepest grade we saw was 17% and saw that twice! that must be the steepest grade on a provincial highway in canada.
