I wanted to put that last true roll right down the chute but it wasn't perfect conditions, lift zones were on & off + Dead pockets, with all that dihedral and only rudder to roll out you can get stuck inverted all too easy.
All good though, I pulled off some stuff in pretty tight, play as rough as you can for the day you're given but... heed the sticker and don't get stupid lol.
I hope I've shown that Rudder Elevator doesn't have to be benign, @11:11 when the wind increased (though only for about 3 minutes) note the sudden amping up of the maneuvers, she came alive.
Too bad I got chased out by the impending rain.
Sailplane set-up is key:
Very little washout so it doesn't offer to stall but immediately stalls/snaps "on command only". I've probably only got 1/16th of an inch of washout (very little)
CG to the rear to help the washout settings doings. I'm really not that much to the rear but I am rearward CG
Lot's of rudder throw to complement the Washout and CG settings.
Rudder is key, I enlarge my rudders: add 5/8th of an inch to the rear and 1/2" to the top
Or: add 3/4" to the rear if you can't add to the top. "You won't regret it" even for thermals!
Dihedral increases right side up/positive G rudder authority.
if building for the slopes Get all the dihedral and or polyhedral that is offered within any and all "rudder-elevator" kits.
Obtain ample elevator authority via throws to seal the deal.
Seek out your preferred balance/mix of the above contributing factors.
Grin. lol
