This is my last vid on this Windfree for a while.
It lacks a-bit of dihedral as compared to my other Windfree is about the only difference.
This one just doesn't do what my other one does, done all I can with it barring major surgery, so I'll delegate it for Thermal flying of which It'll be just fine for. (this one does have an enlarged rudder)
My preferred Windfree has 7 3/4s degrees dihedral "on each side" (15 1/2 degrees overall)
This one has 6 degrees "on each side" (12 degrees overall). (I just measured them).
If building one of these for the slopes I highly recommend the higher dihedral, it makes a big difference.
This is being re-kitted "yet again" by another company, web search "Sky Bench" and you'll find it.
He hasn't produced the Windfree yet but is working on doing exactly that.
Not sure what his dihedral set up will be, but you'll know what to do with yours via my above statements.
I also enlarge the rudder too, both in length and height, add about 5/8th of an inch to the rear and 1/2" to the top BUT added dihedral is just as (actually more) important.
The combination of "both" is the key!
I'll be buying one no doubt!
Cheers: Windfree's are awesome!
