In this mini-series, I'm going to cover the basics of installing and updating Windows 10. These videos are designed to be reference videos to point people to for routine DIY tasks. Feel free to ask questions in the comments, but keep in mind that there's always a million outlier that can pop up, and I can't cover every possible case!

Just finished watching your series on Windows 10. Thanks very much. I am a Mac user (several) but maintain a Windows 10 computer for periodic use and found this very helpful. 👍

My Windows 10 Pro is still saying 2018 in system properties, I should probably look into it more!

Hi, just a question. If you want to install the last built update of windows you first have to update the bootable usb to the latest version, right?

Ideally yes. The Media Creation Tool can just do an in-line update on the PC running it - but I always recommend having a Win 10 USB drive on-hand anyway, it makes troubleshooting a lot easier.

maybe u can help , why when i open Chrome and i look in taskmanager it show me that i have opne 5 chrome , wtf, is this normal? and i open one chrome and only youtube and it shome 5-6 in tskmanager

Task Manager shows threads, and Chrome will have multiple threads running due to tabs, extensions, windows, and so on. The idea is that if one of these things crashes, it doesn't tank everything chrome has open - unlike the old days when a crashed tab would take out the entire browser.

Do you need to update the w10 flash drive every time a build update comes out?

Yes. I update my USB monthly because I install on many computers. It is only needed after each major update (twice a year) for regular home users.

Would it have been that easy if you were going from 1903 to 21H2?

Should be, yes. But there are _sometimes_ weird compatibility issues that can crop up on updates like that. Works most of the time, worth trying. If you hit problems, a BIOS update is usually the solution.
