the man teaching in the Video is absolutely incredible because the way he teaches. Best teaching video I have seen yet, makes you feel like he's focusing on you and only you to better your technique. Thank you.

You have to remember, the instructor is expressing the style not himself which is fine. In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with learning a style but don't rely on it 100%. You want to express yourself not the style. You may end up in a fight situation where the other guy is doing something that may throw you off and you can't use your style (broken rithum),well say, " free style wrestling ". Have you ever sparred a person that's good in wrestling and you might be good in a style that's more hand techniques. I'm talking apples and oranges here.

I love this because most people want to fight from the outside throwing wild Haymakers and trying to knock the person out one punch. Wing Chun teaches the fighter to get on the inside and fight from the inside using counter punching and multiple punches and blocks

When someone starts training at 6, by 18 he might look like a skinny kid, but you can get on the pain train fast. These guys that have 15 years or so sort of ignore tough guys, not because of fear, but they just don't represent any threat to them. This sifu is so helpful, hope he achieves all his goals. Thanks

I love the calm in your teaching. You break it down in a way I can understand and integrate. "Go slow and find the smooth fluid movement." This is the musicians mantra as well. If you dont have a guitar or piano I have to ask why not? Apply your principals to music. Everything you teach will work. Your starting 10,000 step ahead. You have a golden ticket. Sifu Ngo (bow) I am ready to learn.

Excellent lesson for beginning Dummy Training. I attended a Shaolin studio and studied Wing Chun in 94 and basically forget all this. But after watching your video it all just instantly came back to me. I wanted to start teaching my kids and my some of my family and friends kids. Just the basics. There are no Wing Chun training schools within 100 miles of where I live. Though I did find one but did not like the instructor, he's an MMA guy and seems to be only concentrating on competition and battle! I'm an artist and want to introduce the actual art to the kids.

Great instructive presentation. My father (a carpenter) and I built a wooden dummy with the arms providing resistance by extending the arms out the back and mounting springs. Plus, the whole pole pivots from the bottom with a [car] shock absorber mounted in the back.

This is a great, great video with what seems like really great emphasis on some of the finer training points. Very well thought-out! I practiced Kenpo in my teens and 20s, took a 15-year unfortunate hiatus and recently started training in Pai Lum. I found an excellent school and my instructor just picked up a Muk Jong very similar to this. He also said to be deliberate with training, work up to things, practice technique and the power comes later. Don't slap it like they do in the movies! Accuracy and precision. If I had one minor bit of constructive criticism with the video presentation aspect, maybe avoid the sweatshirt in other training videos. Being able to more clearly see your movements from all angles is only beneficial. :-) Thank you - or I guess I should say as we do in class, "xie-xie".

I just wanted to say thank you for the video. I, like many others here, find your teaching style very effective. I have just started learning some basic tai chi movements and was interested in this training when I first came across it a while ago. I am old, 46, and just looking for something to engage my self physically and mentally. I find these techniques very interesting. I am thinking about buying a Wing Chun Muk Jong, but hope my bones are not getting to old, lol.
