What ever happen to music of this caliber? Nothing but crap on the radio now a days, it has no heart. Winger was a very underrated and under appreciated band in my opinion. They had real talent and a strong lineup of songs.
Few people realize how musically talented Winger was compared to other similar bands of the era..they are master musicians, all of em. Kip runs a Rock training camp in Vegas now
Winger was a great band and this song is one of the best power ballads of the 80's, not just the melody, but the whole band projects their instrument in a crisp way, that attains of a classic song. I hope to see them again in concert, as they were exceptional when I saw them. Winger keep rocking, as you are one of the greatest bands in the 80's.
Reb Beach is definitely one of my fav guitarists ever.....he has no equal when it comes to tapping and overall feel in his solo's.........his solo in this one is simply amazing, a real masterpiece!
Does anyone else feel like the vocalist's teeth are supernaturally perfect? Like no joke, he definitely should have played a werewolf or something in a movie. Outstanding band though, always will have a love for the classics
I've always liked this song. Reb's guitar solo on this is awesome! Love his style, very fluid/smooth, sounds like a saxophone when he plays a lead! Didn't recognize him in this video with his curly hair!!!
Guys like Kip Winger only come around once in a lifetime! Glad I grew up in the 80's and witnessed this music firsthand.. Reb Beach has been my fav guitarist forever(ok maybe Joe Satriani as well!) Anyway, these guys... top notch and always a great listen, hope the younger generation evolves soon to produce something comparable?
Damn I wish I was alive in the 80s. Awesome 80s metal will live on forever if you believe in and really feel the understanding of it. I had to be born in the era of the 90s that sucked with lame ass music.
I've listened to a lot of music between the 80s and now, and the big hair bands were the very best music. Even though there are a lot of good songs today.
Big sound, Big looks. Wow music doesn't sound like this anymore. I am 46 and trying to tell my 11 yr old daughter about rock and roll. They don't have that anymore its all synthesized and auto tuned. Well I will keep trying to let her know that there was rock like Def Lepered , AC-DC, Journey, and etc .
Omg!!! Kip Winger was and still is the hottest man on the planet to me!! First time I saw and heard him sing, my jaw dropped, I was speechless that a man could be so beautiful, so sexy and sound so good, he has the total package!
I remember rediscovering Winger's music in 2005. They were awesome after the release of Pull in 1993, and their tracks from The Very Best of Winger made me a lifelong fan. This ballad is truly a classic.
Just think......Kip & Reb created a real gem with this one...21 years of pure ecstasy for all of us to enjoy...truly, my favorite Winger effort, but you already know that. Same time, same place, every Friday....takes the edge off the work week and gets me mellow for the weekend...thank you so much!
Love This! One of my all time favorite videos. It was when Kip & I were still young & beautiful, wish we could turn back the clock, but since we can't I love to re-visit this time in my life, & he was singing in tune.LOL! Seriously, this is exceptionally great!
One of my few heroes. I love this song and lived it, word for word. Crystasorrow, I'm 43 and this tune and the time will never get old. Give huge props to MrEezze for being a new young buck to the classic music of yesterday. Welcome to our world young son.
i was 18 when this song came out...i still love these guys and this song to this day...i like to look back often on the 80's and remember that the 80's produced some of the best damn music....i even have my 19 yr old daughter listening to this now...she thinks kip is a sexy beast!!
Was trying to remember this song yesterday and saw it on VH-1 this morning. Maybe the very best Video/Rock song ever. Deep pocket tempo songs groove the best and this is an example of that. Awesome!
.....Ahhhh Yea......remember when this first came out in Summer '89.......my friends at the time & I loved hotttt Kip Winger! Its great how an old favorite can transport your mind to a time and place... awesome time!
I love it when new rockers see the light and understand how undeniable winger really is. Im 36 as well and i do enjoy many kinds of music as i have gotten older but the 80s bands were just so unreal. Nowadays they sign anybody who's a potential market.
I am so glad it's back...I've had a crappy day and this will make me feel JUST FINE!! Isn't interesting how music affects us in so many different ways!! Thank you KW
