This is what rock and roll the way it's supposed to be. Awesome groove with Rod laying down a pocket they all jump into with ease.. Rich harmonies, straight up in-your-face power chords, plenty of modulations, great phrasing from Reb both during the solo and on the acoustic. And, of course, Kip's lungs. What a great tune... The story never dies ;)
Saw Kip Winger do an acoustic show last night at the Hard Rock Cafe in Indianapolis and got to meet him......he's such a great dude and will always be one of the greatest 80s Hard Rock/Metal Bands/Songwriters ever!!!! AND HOW IN THE HELL COULD YOU NOT LIKE THIS?! 21 PEOPLE HAVE MENTAL PROBLEMS
You are so right! And most aren't aware that the man had his full degree in music theory and was as adept at classical concerto as hard rock! That and he exemplified a true artist by taking the heart wrenching tragedy of the loss of his wife and still made awesome music!

Wow, Kip has a great voice... The man is very gifted, he wrights and composes all his music plus he plays the base and piano. Amazing! Then there is Reb how is the most awesome guitar player, he can really blow your mind... And to add to all that he has played for a but load of bands, the man is in high demand and highly underrated.
A truly great song. Most songwriters will never amount to this. I really hope this one has moved someone as it moved me those days. It never fades after hearing loads and loads of hard rock/hm bands
OMG.. I just remembered this video by seeing through the guitar and the hand plucking the strings... WINGER F"n ROCKS!!!! Listen to those rifts.... tell me where do here that anymore... brings back good memories... wish I could've played guitar as good then.. as I do now... damnit.....

First of all Winger is the best band out there, period, so I say this as an odd kind of compliment. Kip is the most metal ballet dancer ever........(crickets chirping)
Very true! And they put out so many songs that should have gotten noticed more. Kip is a great songwriter. Harmonies, lyrics, message, groove. He just fucking gets it!

I remember how much my jaw dropped after seeing this guitar solo, and how easy it was for him to play. I was sold! ...Don't care how cute the singer was!
That guitar intro is one of the coolest sounding riffs ever. It was one of the reasons I started playing and 1st thing I learned. Anytime I played it for someone they thought it sounded great. Even people brainwashed by Bevis and Butthead to think Winger sucked. Since this song is obscure most people don't recognize it. So they hear it without prejudice.
Friggin Awesome. Got to see Kip solo at a Bring back the hair concert with Firehouse and Warrant in Cape Coral FL. Great show. Winger was and is one of my favorite bands. If you are a musician you get just how special Kips writing is. If you are a fan, you realize that Winger just plain ROCKS! Hope to see Winger play out as a band again. Until then, I have all the previous albums on my iphone! Great upload! Thanks!!!
Quite possibly, my favorite of the early Winger songs. Yet another fun song, and this one hammers, on even a halfway decent audio system. Really rocks.........
I saw them in concert back in the early 90 `s in Virginia, they put on a pretty good show. i would agree a very underated band who deserves more. hats off to classic Winger
Cool song. My sisters name is Natalie. Back in the eighties when this song was out....we used to say it sounded like he was saying....NATALIE.....lol. How goofy were we back then. Glad we lived in the decade of the GREATEST ROCK.....

this singer missed his calling. Every video I have watched of theirs, the singer is just holding the guitar while he is spinning around like a Ballerina. I guess I never noticed that watching the videos in the 80's lol. I wonder if he can do the splits in those leather pants?
Winger seemed to get a bad rap because of the "pretty-boy" image, but there were few guys who could belt it out like Kip...the catch for me on this song (besides the amazing hook) was the acoustic riff...that was a work of genius...Guys, you will ALWAYS be kick-ass in my book!...and Reb, regards from Da 'Burgh!!
