A wingspan strategy guide with commentary for people who wants to improve in Wingspan either over the board or on the steam app. feat. myself on a webcam and my personal highscore of 172 points.
Probably the highest score ever recorded in a normal Wingspan game.
This was a custom game (not an automa challenge) which means I only had one chance with this starting setup.
If anyone knows of a higher score, please link in the commentary. I would love to see it :)

Thanks for sharing. That's a pretty insane score. This is a classic power game featuring what I call a "Raven-Gull/Deer" engine.

The highest is 186 recorded. My best is 159 so 172 is nothing to sniff at. Very well played.

Thanks ^^ And btw lol the 186 game is also me actually. It's on my channel. With the expansion(s) (and also due to the fact that people these days play all 5 seats in order to boost themselves) people have scored more than 200 points. Not sure what the record is when using the expansions.

By the way watch me struggle at 4:50 when the game was bugged and wouldnt let me use my raven nor my killdeer. :( I ended up having to skip both of them this turn. Looking back that was probably a pretty big deal actually. Around a 5 point loss for that bug alone I think.

Forgot to tell you the first time you posted the game but you can usually circumvent that problem by shifting board views. It's basically what you were doing except you kept double shifting and trying again when you should have gone to habitat view, clicked on the egg and then go back to board view. In general the game seems built with habitat view in mind so if something doesn't work in board view, just do it in habitat view.

A lot of my personal views on the game are documented on my blog: Wingsplain.com It looks like you found your way to the official facebook group: facebook.com/groups/wingspanboardgame. I think the current high score that's been documented is in the 180's.
