When Tigger was saying “bitch” it was probably a play on how Freddy Krueger says it, plus u mentioned he had long claws as well so that made it pretty obvious to me
remember saying smth like that in an argument about elden ring. "doesn't mean it took a lot of time and effort that it is actually good. think of a doody you took for 2 minutes, imagine you spend 2 years taking that doody out, both ways it's a doody" ofc i didn't say doody, but you get the point
@@yayeet4250Sanboxforaircraft is saying that they said a similar analogy about elden ring. which is objectively wrong. elden ring is a straight-up masterpiece
One thing we shouldn't forget is that 100 percent on rotten tomatoes doesn't mean that the movie is a 10/10. 100 percent just means that all the criticts recommend the movie. A 5/10 , 7/10, and 10/10 all count as recommended or "fresh".
Exactly. That’s why a lot of dumb fun stupid movies have higher scores than actually fantastic movies. (Especially on the audience side on RT) If someone finds a film entertaining, they will probably give it a good score while they could see a movie that is obviously better made but be bored by it, giving it a low score.
I do like that the characters are kinda like the Pooh characters are kinda like the older slashers Pooh- Michael Myers/Jason Tigger- Freddy Krueger Owl- Pinhead Piglet- Leatherface Also little fact, the actor who plays Christopher Robin in this (who they recasted in this movie) is going to be the director of I think it was either the Bambi movie or the Peter Pan movie. I am very curious to see how this whole universe will be and they even teased some characters that are in the universe in the credits. Also liked they updated Pooh and Piglet in this movie which they look better in this than the first movie.
I don't know how people still get hoodwinked by rotten tomatoes scores... just click on the number and get the average rating. 100% can be anywhere between "everyone thought this movie was mid" to "everyone thought this movie was a masterpiece".
Good theory. They seem to be learning from their mistakes. They probably took all of the criticisms to heart. If they do the same thing for the 3rd movie we might actually have something watchable.
@@HuonPiper-ir4yjbut maybe it was because people were, too nostalgic of the earlier movies and expect every other movie to be like the last best one, and can't accept the fact that not all of the many marvel i mean poohniverse movies can be amazing
The first film was a letdown and I hoped for a better sequel. The story and overall plot are lackluster, and though it surpasses its predecessor, that's not saying much. So despite some improvements, it's still a disappointment.
Schizophrenic theory: When Owl says those lines, he implies that the humans in that universe have been encroaching on the wildlife. What Owl means by "roll over and die" is that sooner or later, the amount of pollution and deforestation is going to completely destroy Owl, Tigger and Winnie's natural habitat. In that universe, the 3 (Winnie, Tigger and Owl) start fighting back and killing humans to prevent their own extinction. This means that Blood and Honey(BaH)'s universe, the humans have crossed enough lines for their actions to have consequences. The 3's violence and murders are actually a metaphor for how nature will respond to the human race's destructive behaviour. Winnie, Owl and Tigger aren't just some animals who decided to fight back, they are forces of nature and their species have been picked very carefully. In many myths and traditions, bears, tigers and owls have been used as symbol of the power nature holds. Nature can be gentle but when push comes to shove, it shows brutality (bear), mercilessness (tiger) and is always watching (owl). BaH is actually a work of art that comments on the damage that humans have done to nature and how one day, we will all live to regret it. BaH serves as a warning to us - the humans in our current universe - to stop our destructive behaviour before it's too late and we, along with our descendants, will have to suffer nature's wrath. Bitch. My ice cream melted :(
appreciate the voice of a true art critic here. Unfortunately it seems blood and honey is ahead of its time, I've no doubt future historians will look at this series the same way we look back on the works of artists like monet. Such a shame when a genius is born into an era not sophisticated enough to appreciate their talent. Bitch.
Meat canyon walked so The Poohnivsrse can run. They need to get him in this for writing. Meat canyon has great ideas that would fit beautifully with this universe.
I’m sorry, THEY MADE A SECOND ONE? They must not have watched your review on the first one, it’s still so fresh in my mind. Consider my flabbers-gasted.
WAIT GUYS. The score already went down to 70%. It’s going down as more critics watch it. Give it time. I think the consensus would be 50% like Fnaf movie
I feel this needs to be made clear every time someone brings up Rotten Tomatoes scores, but those things are very misleading. They don't aggregate the individual scores together to make the final rating, they just compress down to the equivalent of a thumbs up or thumbs down, there is no middle. It removes all nuance from the review process. You could have a movie that's gotten mostly 6's, but because Rotten Tomatoes counts a 6 as a positive review, you'll get a score of like 90% Fresh.
@@newcinema4931now it's 69. The thing about RT reviewers in my experience is the people that get their reviews in first are usually the easiest to please.
I think the main reason it's scoring high is because the expectation was so low because of the first one therefore this one got a way better rating than it deserves. It even shows at the end where Charlie says a 40% is generous but it was a major improvement from the last film.
As an FX artist, they changed over to doing their own designs and prosthetic makeups in the 2nd film vs. using stock Immortal masks in the 1st film for two reasons: 1. It looks far better, far more performance out of a prosthetic makeup moving and flexing with an actor's performance vs. a silicone mask that has less range of motion. Silicone masks are heavy, stiff and don't track to facial movements as well. 2. Marketing & merchandising. The film makers cannot reproduce merchandise with the likeness of Immortal's masks without infringing on the copyright of Immortal's designs. They can't pump out cheap toys or masks of the characters of the first film as they'd be copying someone else's protected work. With their own unique designs, they can go ham with the merchandising if the 2nd film takes off.
one thing people forget about rotten tomatoes is that the rating (in percentage) does not tell you the score or how good the movie is acc to the critics or the audiences, like an 'out of 10 rating' on imdb, it just tells you that this particular movie is x% recommended. for eg. a 100% score would just mean that all the critics recommend the movie & anything above 60% score from any critic/audience would count as recommended or "fresh" and result in an overall average rating. so according to me all of the "7" critics rated the movie anything above 60%, making the overall score 100%, i.e. the movie is 100% recommended by these "7" critics.
I guess it can give a decent idea of if something is "watchable" but certainly wouldn't give it much credit beyond that. Same way Steam works and I'm surprised they have never changed that considering how popular the platform is
There is a whole cinematic universe coming out for this series. There is gonna be one about Bambi, the puppet boy, Peter Pan, and then a final one called “Poohnverse: Monsters Assembled”
i can’t be the only one just dying laughing at this entire video because of the pure insanity of almost every line. “they didn’t even give a reason really then pooh and owl just started murdering hundreds of people” incredible.
It took me until adulthood to realize Tigger was a Tiger plush. Winnie the Pooh was one of my favorite things as a kid too. One of my stupider moments in life.
I remember the first video on the first Winnie the pooh blood n honey. It was during the winter during a really bad snowstorm. I honestly cant believe they did a sequel. Absolutely nutty
Rotten Tomatoes sucks. You can rate something as either "good," 'mid," or "bad." When it says 100%, it means every critic reviewer thought it was good. It doesn't mean that they thought it was 10/10, they all could have thought it was a 6/10
That rating was according to seven reviews, and a movie can get a 100% on that site if everyone gives it a 6/10. Strange how nobody realizes how Rotten Tomatoes works.
yep, and 2.5/5 was good enough for 2 critic reviews to be 'favorable'. Its people not taking even a fraction of a second to learn how something works. Charlie, doing the video, should be expected to have an understanding of it if he is going to talk on the topic. Typical youtuber I guess.
@@snow56borderthey don't really want to learn it. At this point RT's credibility to people on the internet is usually dependent on whether or not it will support their bad faith movie arguments. "Oh this is score is low, that means it must be good because critics don't know anything" or "Oh the score is high that means it's good, checkmate"
When Charlie said “look at me do I look crazy to you?” A video of his from 5 years ago popped up in my recommended with the title “Fart porn is art” and I knew it had to be a sign
i have a feeling these series of movies like pooh and mickey aren't supposed to be real movies and more of those movies that are shown in movies and shows where its some crappy horror movie being shown on the tv before the character gets scared or turns off the tv (i havent watched the movies, just going by what im hearing others say)
Tiger saying "bitch" all the time reminds me of that Rick and Morty episode, were there's this parody character of Freddy Kruger who says the word "bitch" in every sentence 😂
Probably the director because he's able to make a bunch of money piggybacking off public domain IPs. Ironically, it's basically one of Walt Disney's most successful business models just on a smaller scale.
I don't know that it was "lack of passion" as much as the first movie suffered from amateur mistakes and tonal miscalculations. They saw the feedback, they absorbed it and learned from it, and have course corrected.
I doubt anyone expects these types of movies to be good. What slasher films are ever truly "good". They're all over the top schlock that's fun to watch and that's all they need to be.
