Early in the season, or during unseasonable warm spells, the action can be fast-paced and the fish come easy. But then there's the hard days, when weeks of frigid of temperatures, shelf ice and snow conspire to make streams seem impossibly barren, if they're even fishable, at all.

Brook Trout in little stream like that can be very aggressive especially if they don’t receive much fishing pressure. Nice looking little stream. Interesting that you saw some fish, you always do in the best streams. That was a monster for that stream!

Great video! I just moved to Connecticut from the south and it is a totally different kind of fishing up here. Looking forward to some of your videos and getting out there trying some things out. Looks like I'll have to try fly fishing too. Just subbed.

Awesome video! Your perseverance and ability to fish these small streams is impressive. Reminds me of fishing small mountain streams in Japan for Ibana and Yamame (part 1 anyway).

Holy Moly! This one is totally insane! Well, first off ,congrats for even trying, but, going into winter trout waters and shelve ice is not normal..lol and, if anyone saw you fishing ,Im sure they would think you're insane. lol! But, low behold,you did it!!! Congratulations!!! You were able to hook a beautiful little majestic brook trout! So wicked cool! This outing will be imbedded in your memories forever. Thanks a million for all you do for us. Its the next best thing for us flyfishers to being there. Great job in the recording and editing as always too. Looking forward to your next vid!
