Wireless CarPlay and AndroidAuto in BMW 3-series 4-series 2012-2016

You, sir, are the best instructor on this mod for my 2015 328i I've found. Pure. Genius. I highly recommend this video and the only sad thing about the video is there's only a LIKE when I want to hit LOVE.

Make sure to place the microphone cable in the A-pillar behind the airbag, so when it deploys, it doesn't blast throught the wire. Also it's probably a good idea to wrap all your loose wires and plastics in some kind of foam and tape it to some place where it doesn't cause rattle and noises when you drive.

Excellent video! I just installed this on my 2015 M4. The plug for my control panel (ac/heat and radio) wouldn’t come out and I didn’t want to force it so I just worked around it and it was fine. Also, I would suggest putting the radio back in BEFORE you put the glove box back. I had to take the glove box back off so I could fit my hand behind it to help move the harness around to get the radio to slide all the way back. Other than that, these instructions were great. Anyone can do this with some patience. It wasn’t hard at all.

The glove compartment definitely does not need to be removed. The work can be saved, because it is absolutely sufficient only to loosen the lower cover with two 10 screws and insert the module there. No holes necessary, everything remains original. Did it yesterday in an hour

So, if using this system for CarPlay, it's not able to tie into (use) the factory microphone? (for Siri) You *have* to install the mic provided? Quick tutorial : Remove the whole interior of the car to plug the tool 🤣 Or you buy a module that you plug on your normal car play cable and don't have to remove anything in the car.
