O'Dimm, is such a misunderstood character. I think his moniker ''Master Mirror'' means much more than we think it means. He is the incarnation of evil, yes, but he's only as evil and ill-intended as the parties with which he makes a pact. Geralt is of pure heart, he makes a deal with O'Dimm, and at no point in time (be it during the time which you're helping him and after you fulfill your end of the bargain) does he have any ill intentions towards Geralt. He asked one thing of him if you recall: Honesty. Geralt did just that, and so O'Dimm reflected that honesty onto him once the ''pact'' was done and dealt with. Paying attention to the most MINUTE of details can often surprise you in the end ;)

He’s even very friendly to Triss, although he doesn’t know who she is nor finds out, and he says he hopes to see geralt at the end of the party All though he is very camp, and I don’t know how he is as a general, he seems incredibly nice and reasonable, especially compared to every other high born person you meet other than probably Henrietta in B&W.

She’s basically discovered her long lost sister hates her and murdered brutally 3-4 people, and that a huge amount of information was hidden from her, in particular that geralt and Regis left her alone with Detlaff: a highly dangerous, unstable vampire who murdered her courtiers Not to mention that almost everyone she talks to at that part of that quest is secretly a vampire lol For me she’s more of a bitch for just wanting to forgive and help Syanna as much as possible , though syanna’s crimes are understandable, whilst fucking over a bunch of other people

Haris Nauman Nilfgard would have never let a mutee rule. So his quest to be friend and wed Pavetta was just to break the curse. Once that was lifted, yeah he let her drown so he could ascertain the throne and then lead Nilfgard to invade.

In the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt she saves a small girl from the Forest who was attacked by wolves. The girl says " Wow, you're brave! My father couldn't even do that." To which Ciri responds "Mine could do a lot more." Than she makes beast oil to slay a werewolf because she lacks silver sword and the girl again asks "Did your Father teach you that aswell?" To which Ciri responds "No, not my father. My uncle. Uncle Vesemir." And as we know at Kaer Morhen, Geralt taught her to fight while Vesemir taught her the knowledge of the Witchering trade.

If you're talking about the netflix show, it's vastly different than the one in the books. In the books, after Geralt saved Emyr, Emyr insisted that Geralt get a reward, like the show, but unlike the show where he just wants to express his gratitude, he do that because he tought that Geralt would keep asking for favors later on for saving his life, he just wants to settle that right here, right now. Geralt got kinda pissed off about that and he knew that Pavetta was pregnant but Emyr didn't know, so Geralt claimed the law of surprise , knowing that it will allow him to have his unborn child, out of spite.

I guess they did that just to make easier the choice the player make, lots of us didin't even got there, and those who got choose to not take it, just imagine you refusing a huge amount of money just for the sake of narrative...

I know the comment is 2 years old, but... Emhyr is a typical careerist prick who will do anything necessary to write his own name in the annals of history in big letters. Cunning, mischievous and a control freak. Wouldnt' be fooled by his apparent care for his daughter. He only cares about the empire's future so that it doesn't go to ruin immediately after his conquering of the continent. He is sure very smart and calculated, but would sell anybody out for a sack of potatoes if it fed his ego in some way.

Jumping on the "old comment wagon" but... You're half right. Half wrong. He isn't quite as egotistic in the sense you're going for. He did want Ciri so that his dynasty could be the one that saves the world from the White Frost. That's the ego part - he knew Lara Dorren's prodigal child (at that time assumed to either be Ciri's child or grandchild) would save the world - and so that's how he intended to use her to ensure Nilfgaard was at the center of world politics by cementing its ruler as the literal savior of the world. But that's about where his "sell anybody out" instinct ends. Beyond that, he's a cunning and malicious deal maker who has been wronged, been cheated, shown humility, and actually learned from it. Vilgefortz is one good example; Geralt is another. Its how he survived as long as he did and reclaimed his father's throne after being cast out as Urcheon. He truly is honest and keeps his word, as OP says. I was legitimately shocked when he let Ciri go free with Geralt and Yennefer in Lady of the Lake. He had absolutely no reason to, no reason at all, except that he owed Geralt a debt and Geralt and Yenn's sincere love for Ciri gave him a sliver of his humanity back.

The problem with her being leader, for me, is that its easy to make new ways and laws, its easier for the next ruler to tear them down and revert to pre-ciri ways. I think most people see this as bitter sweet because you go through ALL the effort to find her and try to keep her away from being used as a pawn in nilfgaard, and she leaves. Your right in saying she will be safe, but their connection is deep, so its ahrd for geralt to take

And in terms of the politics Ciri would have the upper hand in those things cause she has ties with Cyris, Roach and Tris and in all likely hood the trade cooperation maybe swayed do to these connections (that's 3 major countries he has friendly ties too) and in that ending it says she was a gifted politician....it would be a vary good out come...at least in game of thrones style....for at least 1 maybe 3-4 generations....

XblacklightZ There are few moments ingame when Ciri, herself, says what she would like to do with her life. After Wild Hunt (and White Frost) are dealt with. Even in 'Empress Ending' there are moments when Ciri sounds unhappy with the choice.

maybe but it is life. Some folk are given the choice to change the world for good perhaps improving the lives of everyone around them or choosing to be happy and live a normal life....few pick changing the world but those are the few everyone remembers.

XblacklightZ Oh, come on. Let's admit it once and for all. There was NO happy ending ! Ciri, empress of Nilfgaard ? Great ! She and Geralt won't see each other anymore ! Ciri as a wandering witcher ? No witcher has ever died in their bed ! Ciri considered MIA ? Geralt lets himself die and Ciri's whereabouts are unknown ! Pff... I did love the game but the endings were horrible ! ALL of them !
