This is so funny! I really enjoyed it. I know you get a AOE at 48, not 58. I'm questioning if Zeritt actually played Life legit or not. When I healed my first actual player, they said thanks to me. Everytime I heal i get a thanks. I really couldn't relate when he didn't get a thank you :P
Yeah I got forest lord at level 58 only for the rebirth and forest lord swap to happen the following week.I can attest life used to be even harder to quest than it is now.
Old comment, but I've played across all 7 schools and have been able to come out and still play like a pro solo. A combination of enchants and single pip spells in the beginning make all the difference along with a good pet, of course the one with the leaf storm. Leaf storm works pretty well, having the damage to go along with it and you can be comparable to a storm without enchant. In fact as a lvl 100 pre darkmoor gear I had more damage than most storm wizards. So yes life can compete and possibly even surpass storm in damage.
IDK, I've made it up to dragonspire/Wintertusk with barely an issue, only died maybe one time and with the Kookaburra every world was basically a breeze. Granted, it takes a lot of gold and a little time training it up to adult, but once you have that leaf storm (Got mine around level 10-15 from mini games and quest xp) you breeze through the game. I've also heard that arc 2 gets way easier for a life too, especially with Forest lord and rat spin (If you farm the key boss enough times lol) and the waterworks gear giving you a bunch of damage, but maybe I'm missing something.
Yeah try questing without a kookaburra until Polaris because your convinced that the life school iconic pet should be given in quest line before then. By the time I got the kookaburra egg retrieval quest I had already crafted the iconic acorn throwing spell. That’s right crafted I had to waste amber to get the spell.-.- so yeah note to newbie life wizards spend all your gold at kiosk until you get a kookaburra otherwise you’ll feel like your pulling teeth until you get to darkmoor and feel like you are crushed under a mountain until you get your waterworks gear.
As a life main, this is so accurate. I'm really glad I do better as an offensive life nowadays, because seeing the accuracy in this was a bad memory lol. And I always procrastinated on farming Pigsie, so I'm super glad unicorn was buffed.
As a longtime Life main (since 2012) I'd like to think that we are the original school. Malistaire was the villain, Us the hero. Death vs Life. The ultimate battle. That is why we struggle. It is not because it is easy but because we are the few who have the patience and perseverance to play for years and not be a Max level whilst our friends finish the game within a couple of months. We know that through our pain we build character. We know that others depend on us to succeed. We know that once we finish the game eveything else will be easy. We will have transcended into another plane of reality that is only obtainable after reveling in the delight that is collecting Rat Spin and Pigsie. That is the Life main experience and I would not trade it for anything else.
I never tried life until a couple months ago. Max damage glowbug pet with better gargantuan, and crazy bundle gear was a great time. Had above 60% damage at level 10.
I swear having a Life Wizard quest with a Balance Wizard is like having a Belt and Tie. Sure a belt holds the suit together and a tie adds extra oomf to an outfit, but you can't call just a belt and a tie alone a snazzy suit.
I suppose, although me and my friend are Life and Balance and we do pretty good in fights. He just blades me a lot and I end up doing upwards of 100k most of the time.
Nah, a triple bladed forest lord will easily get the job done and balance can judgement after if we're dealing with an Azteca boss. The occasional balance boss might take 6-7 rounds instead of 4.

Jesus man you didn't need to hit me straight in the nuts with how relatable this is. I went from solo storm, maxed it, and moved on to life. I hit azteca after 10 months on and off and haven't played on it since lmao. I just want swans so I can be disappointed once more
As a max life, I loved solo questing it was fun and I never died. The trouble came when I was teaming up and helping others. So many people leave the team up when they see I'm a life, I can do damage and heal but because healing is now only for those really difficult dungeons I only do damage now. I just wish Kingsisle made healing a must because then having a life would be mandatory with some dungeons.
Lmao 🤣 This is all really accurate. I remember when I had to farm for rat spin and pigsie just so I can do battles faster too. Also yeah if you don't do side quests prepare to suffer on getting a AOE because it's going to take a while before you get it for a life wizard.
If you upgrade your gear every 10 levels and you don’t try to beat azteca and khrysalis with waterworks gear, and own the kokabura pet you can solo everything as life. Did it one year ago and it was fun.
Back before Rat spin I believe I soloed all the way til the end of Khrysalis, stopped soloing at Morganthe. Life wizards are underrated all the time by the other schools. Personally, I still don't heal anybody unless it's a definitive need for me to put a heal in my deck. Otherwise I'm one of those what you call.. *Clears throat* A rare sight. A Damage-dealing Life. Almost every other Life wiz I've met had just about the same mindset I saw you go for with this video. Not too often that the one shiny Life-hitter shows up, but hey, gotta get lucky and find them, or point them in the right direction while they're fresh and growin' in levels.
As a life wizard most of it is accurate except I can't relate to not being able to hit or the rat tcs. But that clip where no one says thanks hit me good
TBf I've only ever been pissed off at life's because they refuse to heal and then do sucky damage. But, my best friends have been life's, always had my back and I got theirs.

As a life main who has had access to rat spin since I entered wizard city, i can see that I am very privileged. I feel so sorry for you guys that don’t have rat spin, but I’ll still be flexing the spell
I remember when I teamed up with two other people to fight a boss in Aquila (I forgot which), and they were hyping me up the entire time while I was healing them. It honestly made me so happy, this is the only mmo where I love being a healer.
Interesting. Life is so easy to solo play with. Flying thru Mirage now. Ratspin spell easy to get. I love when a storm joins me and I kill before they can.
my storm wizard i made 8 or so years ago is Wolf SeaBlade. Not quite stormblade, but still basically the same. Had to remake my storm lmao. Can confirm people in mount Olympus prefer me to hit rather than high level lifes
To anyone who has a tough time questing as a life wizard its not as bad as it looks. There's definitely the disadvantage with the lack of an aoe, so typically having enchants and using simple 1 and 2 pip spells will help you get through it. Having good gear and a pet should the one that gives leaf storm will be a bit of must to have damage and the aoe to work well if you want to have it as easy as you can. I've quested through all 7 schools, and they're all not that bad to quest with once you figure out a general and the most optimal way to quest.
Me and my friends are playing together. One is fire and one is death. Me and the death friend keep finding every dumb and lame thing we can about each other's schools to make fun of each other. He insults me for having a really ugly cow as my teacher and I insult him for straight up not having one LOL
As a life wizard, I have to tell people to assume I’m saying Yw back every time. Cuz after the 3 thank you, it gets annoying feeling like I have to respond back. I’ll give 1 or 2 in a dungeon but not every single time. It’s too much pressure to respond every time😂
As somebody that would have likely put Life as my second favorite school after Death if Rat's Spin were a trained or learned spell (ironic considering Death is the only other school that doesn't have a trained/learned 4 pip (I count Tempest as a 3-5 pip aoe more than anything)), it sure is nice I was able to cheese farm Rat's Spin with gold keys on my Life wiz, the only one of my wizards low enough level to hit tier 1 of King Borr. A lot of my preference towards 4 pip spells is because I'm an almost exclusive solo player, so having the potential to just aoe turn one and kill is great.
As a life and storm main (the only two characters I have) I can say most of this is pretty spot on LOL I will say, I NEVER asked a life person to blade and heal me as a storm guy. As nice as it is, I didn't care enough. And on my life guy, I just solo quest (and yes im almost done azteca as the end of the video suggest I should be suicidal by now For the pets I am original, I use a quint damage since having a max storm cursed me to do damage :) (I had over 100 at level 55) Also anyone got any rat spin (unironically I need some LMAO) Fun fact about pigsie, I decided to do a few lore runs for the hell of it as a low level and it was the very first card I got from lore on my life
I deleted my Life wizard after getting to Dragonspire solo. It was too difficult with the weak damage and lack of AOEs, and I was always playing other wizards to avoid that one. Too much of a hassle lol.
i’ve been flying through the worlds as a solo life player but i can definitely relate to this😭 i started playing again after about 9 years and went from lvl 26 to now lvl 62. i’m getting there haha
im not gonna lie i wasted over 200 dollars atleast on grizzleheim packs back when that was the only way to get the spell, even though i just use a storm to boost me
this is hilarious, because most of the time, as a life wizard, I am the hitter. I am the life wizard that put everything into attack and duels tend to be very short for me
I’m a life wizard, people label us healers because it’s our “job”. As a life wizard myself, I find life wizards who spam heals every like turn, annoying as Ambrose telling us to save wizard city when he’s like right there. I mean yeah we have heals but there is a fine one between healing and spamming heals every like turn. I don’t usually pack heals because if you die you die. My bad? When you get to like lvl 70 you really don’t need heals. Darkmoor, needs no heals. Yeah I may get yelled at but I usually just bring traps into dungeons if I’m thrown on support. If I need to heal then I will. I don’t throw my healing set on every time because it’s kinda pointless. If you have a good team, they kill in 3 turns.

The road of a solo Life ends in Azteca does it? We take 17 turns to kill? Homie 2 Blades and a Colossal Forest Lord take it or leave it. I beat Azteca within a week's time. On a more serious note this is hilarious dude. I literally wanted to sub and like 4 times watching this. When I first clicked I thought you were going to just shit talk Life for Jading in PvP or whatever most people in this community do but this was actual genuine comedy on behalf of the Life school Community and I'm straight up here for it.
