0:04 I never noticed the detail to the claws in this. The bone claws are still there within the adamantium ones. I know his bones are coated in the metal but it never really occurred to me that his bone claws would be covered as well. I think my brain always processed it as the claws changing and adapting.

That's pure adamantium, not bone claws. His entire skeleton was molded with adamantium including his claws. When samurai sucked all of his adamantium then he regenerated bone claws.

Logan's bone claws aren't connected to the rest of his marrow bones any more than your right kneecap is connected to your left. All gramps would have been extracting was a few spoonfuls at best. Makes no sense Logan's healing factor failing en masse unless the whole thing depends on some freaky quantum entanglement between his cells... ...in which case, all you'd need to be able to kill Logan would be a skin sample.

He wanted Logan’s healing power since he witnessed it. 0:50 , 1:15 and 2:00 It’s cruel that he wanted to take it. I’m curious if he’d have the healing permanently. This is likely where the Adamantium started to poison Logan, since his healing wasn’t working on him for a day or so earlier in the film, and here for a minute or two.

no the poisoning is a major retcon that doesn't apply to most of the x-men lore, a few non mutant characters in the marvel universe have adamantium in their body and have never had any type of poisoning.

From his perspective, it wasn't that cruel. Logan told him that he views his immortality as a curse, and Ishida, wanting to live, saw the opportunity to make a trade that would benefit them both. He already made that offer earlier in the movie, but Logan didn't want to take it up since he thought he would be transferring his "curse". Of course, in the end Ishida was just greedy for that power regardless of how Logan felt about it, but it helped him justify his actions.

Yashada's plan is to steal Logan's healing power and transfer it to him to stay healthy and become younger back when the atomic bomb destroyed the whole village. But Logan defeated him by tearing up his armored and threw him off the cliff.

The Wolverine was such a great Spin off of the X-Men . Hugh Jackman is the one and only Logan/ Wolverine. It was such a great plot twist when Yashida was the villain all along . He only wanted Wolverines healing factor just to heal his wounds and became young again . He got what he deserved after by Logan . The both actors who plays younger and older Yashida was amazing.

it is this movie adaptation isn't the best however it does explore a storyline that has happened a few times of people trying to steal his healing factor and what happens here does make sense in a sifi science way in that to get to Logan's bones you need to be able to get through his adamantium coating which would require adamantium grade weaponry or stronger i think what he mean's by the suit keeps him alive is it's basically like the bed he was on in the start of the film its a advanced life support suit with those probes built in proberally to keep him alive till he can catch logan and considering that he doesn't have adamantium coated bones if he did steal logans healing factor it would actually be stronger then what we have seen in the movies so far cus he wouldn't be getting constantly poisoned.

@@ijustgottahotdog Yep, his claws being metal again in DOFP is intentional and (a bit) crucial for the plot of the movie. In the official site, they stated that Logan needed those Adamantium claws back in order to fight the Sentinels more efficiently, and so Magneto helped him.

I just watched the entire film again. How did the adamantium get re attached to his claws? The end credits scene has magneto controlling him. So there is still some traces of the metal in him.

In the Marvel Comics, the Silver Samurai is the name of two supervillains, the one is the son and the other is the father. Keniuchio Harada became the first Silver Samurai, then his father Shingin became the second supervillain to take the mantle of Silver Samurai. And now in the movie, the business man, the former world war 2 soldier as well the grandfather of Wolverine's love interest became the third supervillain to up that mantle.

Patriotic Justice + Shirō Ishii. The infamous surgeon from Japan's Unit 731, on par with Mengele regarding human experimentation. The man was a monster, considered the Chinese to be inferior and of course used them ( along with allied POW ) for his experiments. This plot twist was one of the worst plot twists i have ever seen in movies. It's poorly introduced and quite obvious when the old dying man is like "uh yeah i can transfer your power and you could die", but somehow still feels extremely stupid, it's told that only magneto and stryker know how to manipulate adamantium yet a random nagazaki survivor somehow knew about it and also found how to use it ? I don't believe this movie's ending

If we can see yashida get young then clearly he has a healing factor already so his plan should have worked and he should be immortal. The whole the transfer wasn’t complete thing seems like total bs to me. How would that make sense. A drop fo blood from hulk can turn a person into the hulk. Sapping bone marrow from wolverine and putting inside you would surely have the same effect.

With my big head and nut brain my comprehension of this scene Why Yashada didn't heal after his granddaughter threw a knife into his head even though he seemed to successfully absorb Logan's healing ability. was because the procedure was not fully complete🙃

He wasn’t finished transferring it. Mariko stepped in before he could fully take it. Hence why Logan healed and regrew his bone claws and killed Hashida.

Wolverine's power seemed to have kept him at the age when you're at the epitome of your health and physical strenght, so I guess it works the same for him. Would have been a funny twist, though.

while the movie is good, i never actually did like it much, logan saved the mans life from a nuclear bomb and the only thing that was on his mind was trying to steal wolverines healing factor so yashida could live longer, bro saved the mans life and he set out on a path to ruin the life of the man that saved him from death. that is not how you repay someone for saving your damn life, you do not take that mans life. dope movie i will admit, but the guys an asshole, logan should've just let him die in Nagasaki
