She probably is not making it. Didn't you hear him said he knew she was getting fired. she's having challenges and she sounds like she really don't know which way is up. She just knew that she needed a vehicle. I feel sorry for her because I think she may have developmental delays trying to understanding the whole process of it all. Her inability to comprehend that the judge dismissed the case for the lack of evidence to support her claim. Adulting is tough for some.

My husband is a whole entire MESS, but by God he has every. single. bloody receipt from literally EVERYTHING (like even grocery receipts, which is odd 🤔) all just sloppily crammed into his overstuffed, bedside drawer! If ever he needed to prove anything, it'd take a whole week to find it in there, but rest assured, he's got it!
As a private person, never Extend financial payments when Selling a car. Leave that to the bank. As a private person, you sell a car in one transaction. . Here's the money here's the keys goodbye. Monthly payments never works out.
How do people do THAT much damage in so short of a time? Oh I know…it’s done by the same kind of people who can’t keep up with car payments especially when they’re getting such a good deal in the first place. And the same kind of person who sues people when THEY are so obviously in the wrong.
This is why I take the bus then a train from Jersey into NY. After paying for rent, utilities, groceries and school books, I simply cannot afford a car. I was raised to only have something when I can afford to.....works for me.

She paid him and the same day he repo-ed the jeep without telling her what's up.. then he countersued for impound fees cause she reported it stolen.. pretty crappy for the old man to do that!
She obviously wasn't paying consistently, but it was petty of him to not even let her know he was repossessing the car and then huge eye roll in regards to that ding on the door.

She doesn’t have a money problem: she has a personal problem. She never paid the full payments and admitted to skipping a month entirely to take her daughter to see an aunt. Clearly, she used her bill money! How are you going to spend time with somebody when clearly you have obligations needing taken care of? Did auntie pay for her trip? No. Then she gets fired which says even more. How do you come to work knowing darn well you owe your boss money? I’d be too shame! But, some people have no shame at all as long as they’re “getting over” on others.
If struggling is what you meant by reckless and irresponsible then yes! I agree with the other comment, she isn't poor or trying to get by... she is using her bill money to do other things. She is those people who work at the same place as everybody else, get paid the same as everyone, pay the same amount in bills as everyone, have children like everyone YET always requiring charity and excuses and getting others to waive her bills or paying only half while she uses her money for trips and materialistic things. She is a sneaky one!!!
She's not "struggling" she's SUPER irresponsible. Just like she doesn't have ANY proof she paid him because the proof doesn't exist. It would take her 1 minute to get a bank statement. She could've logged into her bank account from her phone while IN COURT. She could've done Uber, Lyft or any of the MANY food delivery options to pay both her car and her rent. I guarantee she was fired for being either lazy, irresponsible or both.
Apparently, the plaintiff thinks that it’s acceptable to skip payments as long as she continues to make a payment every once in awhile. She can’t comprehend that the terms of a contract are binding. For some reason, she feels entitled to make adjustments to it whenever she sees fit.
I can't actually believe that either of them thought that they had a case. She agreed to buy a car from him but she wasn't making some of the payments and she doesn't seem to understand why that meant that he could repossess it. He has the car back AND he gets to keep the money that she's already paid and yet he still wants her to pay for the dent in it.
He had a right to "Tooken" the car but he should have given her notice that he was going to repossess the car instead the day she actually made the payment in January and the money he is suing for, was the damn huge down payment she gave him. It was a 2nd hand car, not from a damn dealership.
A down payment does not excuse her from paying the payments. If he had asked for the payments she missed JJ would have awarded those to him, so neither of them were very bright.

Okay but... She said she had evidence that she made the second payments in October and November but then subsequently said "I only made one payment! You asked me if I made two!" 🙃 No one was arguing that she didn't make the one payment! It was the second one JJ was asking about and she just proved that she never made them! 😂😂😂 Plus saying the January money was for December means nothing because technically that means you should have paid DOUBLE in January since you missed December! Whew Chile... You have NOTHING. 😂😂😂
Cuz if she’s this bad at paying a simple $200 car payment, chances are she probably overdrew any bank account she might’ve had, got tons of overdraft fees, ended up in collections, got reported and now no bank will touch her with a 10 foot pole

The bottom line is that she did not have proof of the payment she insisted that she made to him. By the way $200 a month for car payment sounds very reasonable. In fact I have never heard a such a low rate monthly payment for a car where I live.
All you have to do: A. Pay with a check and photocopy it (should be in your bank records that the funds were withdrawn) B. Pay with a bank transfer (again, records of the money being transferred) C. Pay with a mobile app like Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, etc (the app stores data of all of your transactions) D. Have a printed out spreadsheet where both parties sign to confirm that the transfer of money was received. E. Text/Email the other person asking to confirm receipt of the payment (even just a plain “Did you get the money?” “Yes”) So many of these cases come in and either the plaintiff is incompetent in obtaining their bank statements or they paid everything in cash and didn’t keep any sort of record of it. Just because you shouldn’t lie under oath doesn’t mean that a defendant won’t just deny receiving any cash payments to avoid having to pay anything back.

Omg did she really ask why her case was dismissed? Girl you had one job and that was to bring the records, you know the receipts and supposedly left them in car. Who does that? I was laughing to tears.
The weirdest part to me is she openly admits multiple times that she didn’t make the full payments during Oct and Nov, but every time Judge Judy points out that she didn’t make proper payments, the plaintiff kept insisting she did, then followed up with “one payment in October and one in November” after it was repeatedly established she needed two payments per month. How does she not forget to breathe?
She's a mess but it's really a difficult situation when you need a car and you have kids. That's why I tell my girls, NO Kids until you're set in your career and find a decent guy but also have back up in case the BUM runs out on your and the kid.
A person can always show they withdrew money, it does not mean they paid it. The best proof would have been a bank statement reflecting a transfer to his account.
Same situation happened with me and I was hospitalized and reached out to what I thought was a friend I brought a car from gave them 5k upfront and texted them while I’m the hospital to pay and they read the msg never replied and still came and took her car. Ppl can be so heartless and evil I pray she’s at peace now
This is why you *never* sell a car to a friend or co-worker, with an agreement for monthly or weekly payments. But certainly not to one in which you're their boss! Heck, even if it's an older vehicle that you sell to them outright. (One lump sum, they take possession of the vehicle; Done!) Very first time something goes wrong with it or something breaks down, they're going to blame you.
How many languages do you speak? Those of us who speak a second or third language often make simple pronunciation mistakes. In this case the plaintiff is under pressure, so a little empathy on your part would not go amiss. Of course, her legal case was spurious, as the judge rightly points out.

Judge Judy misspoke. She means the $2500 down payment that the plaintiff paid the defendant. He kept those $2500, so he didn’t really lose money at the end of the day, because he kept the car also
Here is a tip… If u are the plaintiff in court, it’s ur job to prove why the other side wronged u. He can have a mountain of evidence to help u. But u are the one suing him… So it’s ur job to have all the evidence u can. Lol
