@@Matt-1147 - I don't believe you. The average restriction period in Europe starts at 15 weeks. Mississippi is 16 weeks. The second trimester must have a doctor, and the third trimester is with a doctor in extreme cases. You didn't look this up.

Arizona used to be a blue state until 1965. Same for Oklahoma. President Johnson signed the voting rights act and all of the "Dixiecrats" left for the Republican party and mostly took it over as far as policy goes.

Apart from all of the noise from the political crowds, I have not seen any coherent argument on why the Arizona Supreme Court thought that a territorial law that was never incorporated into the state constitution was enforceable. It should be a simple fix for the Arizona legislature to clarify the situation.

Apparently this law was codified into AZ state law in 1912 when AZ became a state. The AZ republicans who are saying the court decision is flawed will not vote in state legislature to overturn it.

@@patlynch6517 Okay, I have clarification now. It was codified in 1913 (a year after Arizona became a state). It was also re-codified in 1936, 1950, 1962, 1971, 1977, 1983, 1995, 1999, 2000, 2009, 2012, 2018, and 2021. So technically, the state supreme court upheld the 2021 version of the Arizona state law. Thanks for the assist.

@@colowyowatchman4420 Your 1st Amendment rights are not under attack. You're free to say what you want, and the government won't prosecute you for it. What you're not free from is how other people react to what you say. If you get banned from social media platforms, ostracized, canceled, etc. for what you say, that's not your 1st Amendment rights being attacked. That's other people exercising their 1st Amendment rights. And, the 2nd Amendment was never intended to give anyone the right to own any gun they want. It never was until the Supreme Court case DC vs. Heller in 2008. Before then, you had judges like former Chief Justice Warren Burger, a Nixon appointee who called the NRA's interpretation of the 2nd Amendment completely fraudulent. And it is, based on the views of the Founding Fathers. Alexander Hamilton wrote in the Federalist Papers that the 2nd Amendment's purpose was to have militias for defense of the state, similar to the Minutemen of the Revolution. It's not for personal gun ownership or personal self-defense. That's what the modern gun lobby has misconstrued it to be so they can sell more guns.

We are talking about a law in AZ that was initiated in the 1800s. The law is on the books and it is a law of that state. If people are upset, simply change the law. Demand that easy elected officials get together and change this law from the 1800s. Do advocate that AZ state elected officials violate the law is a danger to our democracy.

Were all territorial laws enacted into the state's constitution when Arizona became a state? Otherwise I fail to see how the law can be enforced when it was established well before Arizona even became a state.

This is also s forced-father law. Arizona child support laws orders a flat percentage of 25% of the non-custodial parent's income to be paid in child support to the custodial parent.

Gallego is too uptight. he needs to be angrier. to be honest it seems like he is just saying what needs to be said instead of being emotionally distraught by it. you can say what you want about Kari Lake, yet she act like every issue is the most important issue ever. He needs to be in Kari Lakes Face confronting her on betraying women's rights and having the ENTIRE WORLD rooting for him to save Arizona from this Unjust, Outdated, Immoral Law.
