셔먼 선생님은 제자들이 자신의 스타일을 복제하길 원하지 않으시는 것 같네요 저마다의 퍼스낼리티를 존중하고 그들만의 음악세계를 구축해 나가기를 .. 다시 말해 획일적인 것이 아닌 다양한 특성을 중시하시는 것 같아요 그래서... 손 교수님과 임윤찬 군의 연주가 닮은 듯 하지만 다른 것이 아닐까요?
@@user-mq2ty9yv8r actually it would be literally impossible to play exactly the same as someone else. Your personality/individuality is always going to make a difference. Especially if you are talented and a true artist you will never be satisfied just "copying" someone else
I have listened to Russell Sherman's full set of the 32 Beethoven Piano Sonatas, and seen him in concert a number of times. I have also listened to the full-box set of 32 Beethoven Sonatas. After many, many hours I have come to appreciate and find his interpretations of Beethoven to be revelatory and unique. Where Brendel knows the architecture of the music with supreme beauty, and Sherman knows the drama of the music. Both are great, but Sherman is greater and gets your heart pounding. He is the embodiment of the music as an artistic, intellectual and musical drama.
Bravo!!! It is so fun and informative interview! I have laughed many times out loud as I was listening. 어떠한 정점에 이른 모든것에서 느껴지는 아름다움을 아시는 현명한 예술가 이시자 스승님 이시네요. (제한된 기회였으나) 손민수 교수님과 임유찬님의 인터뷰에서 받았던 감동과 맥락이 비슷헤서 그 스승의 그 제자시구나 싶습니다. 감사합니다!
Thank you, Prof Minsoo. Mr. Shermann was full of insight. He thinks in pictures! I like his advice abt interviewng the mothers when selecting students.😊 And how generous he was, to highlight the importance to recognize the unique-ness of individual student. Personally to me, music is a gift from God towards mankind, for us to enjoy at the spiritual level, from the innermost part of our being. Hence it is not surprising that Mr Sherman also noticed how all his students are able to be content with their bliss, regardless of exterior circumstances. Because they are fulfilling a higher calling! ❤
‘영알못’에다가 [템페스트]하면 영화 [책 읽어주는 여자]부터 떠올리는 ‘막귀’ 수준이다 보니 깊은 뜻이 담긴 선생님의 이야기를 알아듣기 역부족합니다! ㅎ아니, 음악 이야기 하시다가 레슬링, 야구 이야기는 왜 하시지? ㅋㅋ 아... 박학다식한 선생님 밑에서 수학하다간 보따리 싸기 십상이겠다는 생각과 함께 언젠가 ‘바흐를 잘하려면 바로크 댄스를 알아야 한다’는 기사 대목을 보고 바로크 댄스 영상물을 찾아봤다가 10초 만에 스톱 버튼을 눌렀던 아픈 기억이... ㅠㅠ 정신 차리러... 어깨를 내리치는 ‘죽비소리’처럼 다가온 셔먼 선생님의 ‘눈보라’ 들으러 가야겠어요!
