"Why use any pacts of punishment (heat)?"
We only take pacts that only matter if you actually get hit (i.e. 100% extra enemy damage) and that's so that Erebus gates can be an option through Asphodel.
"How are you dealing so much damage?"
Aspect of Hestia gives you a large bonus to damage and range upon manual reload on the first shot. Fiery Presence makes the numbers look extra big at the start (+75% damage to enemies on first hit).
"Why the ruleset?"
We've completed a "no damage" run before that used a lot of Athena ( • ZERO DAMAGE TAKEN RUN ... ) so the rules listed seemed to be the next logical step.
"What's the hardest part? Any strategies?"
Long range weapons like Hestia, Guan Yu's special, maybe some bow stuff work best. Styx is probably the hardest/scariest because the compact rooms can easily get you with the lasers or small rats, after that Heroes and Hades are equally difficult I think.
"Why Than's keepsake?"
Big damage boost by the end, helps us scale without relying on getting very specific boons. Just makes sense for this run and is fun too.
