y u no 150 mm HE? Even with 15 second reload, there are some situations where you get time to load HE to shoot squishies or for resetting.

I do not understand people's constant insisting that gold ammo is absolutely necessary on ANY tank. Sure, it does help a fair amount, but if you're using it 100% of the time then you're just wasting your money.

QB actually proved that it's not the St-i today on his stream (20/04/14) it's ST-1, go to the Russian WoT website and go to the tankopedia the I in IS-4 is a backwards N, NC-4 meaning the ST-1 should be ST-N nope it's CT-1 in Roman numerals and the Russian language developing partially from Latin so its the ST-1, he even got Peppy to translate a bit, argument over it's not ST-i it's 1.

I love it how in jingles e-100 review from a while ago he always talked about never pointing your turret right at an enemy until you're ready to fire, but in this video literally the entire time an enemy was spotted, he would just stare at them until he was reloaded or if they moved from his ability to hit them

My E100 ammo load is pretty much like yours: 10 HEAT (earlier 5) 2-3 HE, rest AP. I can't understand why people are trying to use HE as main ammo. I was fighting one. Since I have large spall-liner in most of my tier X tanks, even arty does less than 200 damage per shot. So in my opinion HE is just waste of reload time. and spamming HEAT is just lame. Even you Mr. Jingles used HEAT on side of M103. really good perk is intuition on both loaders by the way.

I don't like using prem ammo, so even on the TS I don't fire all prem ammo I still use standard AP and HE even on the E100

311 pen is the APCR for the 12.8mm gun the 15cm has 334 with it's HEAT.

my advice for all you people who wants to play with e100 i have over 1k battles with it and i have allways loaded 20 HEAT and 10 HE shells on it so if you see a franchy in the enemy team load the HE and target the turret it can do up to 1033damage and its fun :D

Awesome that you are re-doing your videos with updated knowledge and tending to the Jingles influence on the way tanks have become! I might like to add though, if you look at the angle of the back of that Maus turret when you fired your first AP shell in the 1st game there, the angle was too steep AND the turret is turning which I think adds some to it. Not sure if you ever tried turning into shots, but it seems like you can deflect easier if you are in teh process of angling your armor when you get shot. Like you are Bruce Lee and knocking bullets out of the air with your hands or something. lol Nice work

You kind of forgot to show how much money it would take to ressuply ammunition after 2nd battle, so we can't actually see total earnings after you deduct ammo costs.

More of these types of vids please. As much as I (and many others, I suspect) enjoy, and learn, from your considerable collection of videos... the multiple patches (and nerfs) from WG has 'dated' many of your vids. While the core elements in the videos hasn't changed all that much, WG _has_ rendered the 'nuts and bolts' observations of your vids (in more than a few cases) obsolete. BTW, I'm not suggesting a complete revision of your vids, but updated reviews of 'benchmark', and key tanks (those that have an 'either/or' tech tree path) might be useful. Thank you for all your past efforts...

This was my first T10 as well and also went for German lines for i liked them from specification tables and history. Never used HEAT shells as main ammo type, only in rare occasions when it was a must for pen or shortage of AP ones :)

Owning a E100 myself I couldn't disagree more with you Jingles. Granted it's just opinions but quite frankly 235 penetration is not enough for tier 9 and 10, especially if you happen to fire at a bit of a distance. Anything like 200 meters is already a significant loss of penetration for the E100 given it's bad penetration value to start with. I find myself in two minds about the AP. I absolutly dread it's pen but whenever a juice side is presented to me, I'm wishing I just had a normal AP loaded, especially if that juicy side happens to be an IS-7 which between the spaced armor and tracks doesn't leaves much for HEAT to shoot at. However my experience tells me that the moment you get a tier 10 heavy (well the vast majority), some tougher tier 9 tanks, some tough tier 9 or 10 TDs in front of you and they are giving you their front and generally know enough of what they are doing to not give you any easy shots. You are not going to penetrate anything with AP. It's just insuficient even at point blank range. Because brawling is what an E100 is supposed to be doing you need to have the right type of ammo to penetrate the front of tough tanks and in the E100 case, that only exists in the form of the HEAT ammo. Of course, the E100 is quite a bad tank. That's doesn't means you can't get some monster games in it, but it is a bad tank none the less. To fix the tank a few things would have to be changed... First the standard AP ammo would need to have somewhere in the house of 250 penetration to be pumped up to standard heavy tank values. Then it needed to have APCR as premium ammo which is what would make sense. Last but never least, the gun shouldn't be treated as a howitzer gun but rather as a normal penetrating gun. Thus give it more accuracy, more shell speed and less arc on the shot... After all we have to put things into perpective. The E100 is not a tank that is supposed to be able to take a lot of hits. You can if the enemy is not firing premium ammo, but if they are APCR is guaranteed to penetrate your turrent even if you angle it... Thus the only redeeming factor for a slow huge tank is a slihtly higher health pool which generally means he can take one more shoot than other tanks and of course a good gun to compensate all the bad things it has.

this notion that 235 average penetration is bad has always confused me. yes, you will need premium ammo, there will always be situational need for premium ammo in any tank, but you don't need premium ammo as your standard. the list of tanks you will need 300 plus penetration to pen reliably is much shorter than the list of tanks that 235 penetration will butter.

Jingles -- I went through the same deal with my E100, I've been using the regular AP rounds for most of the battle and have done about as well as when all I did was spam HEAT. I did this after watching one of Circon's streams when he and Foch wrecked the enemy team on Cliff in E100s, and all they did was fire the std AP rounds. The only time Circon used HEAT was in his last crucial shot of the match when he absolutely needed to pen to win it. Just one note -- you mistook the 311mm pen of the 128's APCR rounds for the actual 334mm pen of the 150's HEAT. Great review and entertaining as always!

That T110E5 though laying down some fire power

E100 was my first tier X and I love it... I carry a few HEAT shells in it, but I think I've fired at most 10-15 of them in ~180 battles... And those were basically returning the favour to IS-7s and E100s that used premium ammo on me. When unable to pen a tank from the front (because of good angling) I tend to load HE and fire it under them. Unless they're hull down this is very effective because while it only does at most ~400 damage, it wrecks modules/crew.

Jeez. By this comment im by no means saying your videos are bad or something, i find them very entertaining at all, but is it so hard to check the facts before you start to make one? Its almost in every your video. There are just facts wrong, over and over again. Yeah, big deal that you got the HEAT pen on E100 wrong, nobody really cares. But if it happens all the time, it starts to bother me. I know all the fanboys will rain anger on me how ignorant i am, but hey Jingles, could you please check your facts every time before you start to make a commentary? I mean, if you dont know it from the top of your head, just click on the ammunition in-game.. Sorry for "hateful" post, i just feel like i have to say it. Great video nonthetless :)

Jingles, nice vid, as always :) and, I really must say I like your conclusion! The E-100 excels, if you are just playing it the right way! And by doing this, you can have incredibly great games with "metric butt tons of dmg" done and also taken (though, sometimes the Gun just trolls you, just as the BL-10 or others). Of course, you can transfer this to many other tanks in WoT, as e.g.: the Hellcat (99% Kamikaze "Scouts"), some Autoloaders, some TD, and so forth.

I play on the NA server and a lot of E100 drivers there use HE ammo, it makes sense if you can't pen with AP; you get somewhere north of 300 damage a shot and guarantee a crit of some sort. Plus on the off-chance you come across a Waffle, Leo or scout, you can do some serious damage.

This video gives me an idea about awarding players for recieving damage. Jingles has an earlier video pointing out problems with that. But what about awarding players for potential damage recieved and scale it up or down depending on the tank. I don't know if this hasn't been proposed before. I do hope Jingles sees this and has a thought over it. Keep up the amazing content coming, commander.

Jingles, your aim in this 2 games was practically perfect, apart from one single return fire to the waffen in the first game. Usually in your games you implement some really bad firing solution, but this time the shots where on the target and the lead was right. It seems that sometimes you prefer to take a poorly aimed shot that is almost certainly going to miss, rather than readjust your aim, but, again, in these games you did right (like for the shot at the JT who was behind a crest and was exposed for a little part).

Hey Jingles, just as a tip, since you might come across wt e100s in your e100, you might want to carry a few rounds of HE. It does an insane amount of damage and can finished off tanks that have little health but hard to pen with AP or HEAT.

I maintain that one of the cornerstones of being a good E100 driver is learning to use AP, HEAT and HE effectively. HE is very handy vs Waffentraegers and low health tanks that need to die (as you demonstrated the .4 accuracy sucks at times HE will do a good 200-400 guaranteed if it hits) HEAT vs other E100s and super heavies and AP vs everything else

Jingles I know you know this because you noted this in a replay, don't forget to make sure to angle your turret in the e100 while re loading

Suggestion for load out Jingles: 20 AP (fire this stuff normally) 20 HEAT (fighting other german vehicles/heavy tanks) 10 HE (arty, WT, and things at long range/side scraping vehicles) This set up requires a lot of pre thought in which ammo you should be loading next during battle, but once you get the hang of it, it will not go wrong. P.S before people rage at the suggested targets for the ammo, its a battlefield, I cannot predict every situation.

Favorite tank in my book. Btw, Jingles, you know that you can shoot an E-100 and Maus turret head (the sides, not the mantlet) on with HEAT (HEAT on the T110E-5 does the same).

pro tip for brawl fights with other E-100s: shoot the frontal deck. In front of the turret, where driver/radioman hatches are. Its only 40mm thick so your 150mm shell will get overmatch and ALWAYS pen.

Great vid as usual Jingles. Glad you tried it without the gold rounds! I know they are available to everyone in game but I have not and will not (so far) use them partly because I mean why is there a two tier difference in the game? If the matches were always made of the same tier tanks would anyone need prem rounds? And since there is a tier spread tankers can just buy better rounds to compensate for being lower tier. Just my two bits, like I said they are available to anyone so I don't fault peeps for using them. It does make me chuckle when I get shot by em in low tiers :)

I own an e-100, was the first tier 10 I went for. Even with the 235 penetration I have no problem fighting most tanks. Most weak spots are easy enough to hit at medium to close range, which is where you should be fighting, and 235mm pen is enough to get through most of those weak spots. Only tank I can think of that gives me trouble is the t110e3, its lower glacis is the only t100 glacis I can't penetrate.

Quickybaby used this replay in his T110E5 review. In it, he spent a minute saying how great full he was that jingles killed the wafentrager

Jingles, Nice replays, however would like to add some tips for you. I do recommend to stock up 5-10 HE ammo for finishing up low HP targets. Like that E-100 on first reply that you wasted HEAT ammo and no damage at all (you would had possibility to load HE after seeing him on around 100 hp.). Same would have been case with JT that you could have loaded HE instead of HEAT. After you shot first HEAT on JT leaving him around 300 hp, you could have loaded HE (as you knew there were only low hp/soft targets in that side, so HE would have been the best choice). HE works also very well against WT E-100/WT Pz IV, which you will be facing a lot while driving E-100. It has anyway average damage of 950. I remember hitting WTE over 1000 damage with HE, propably killing half crew and other module damage. E-100 is definitely good tank, enjoying it pretty much. Sorry for the wall of text :(

I think I will love the E 100 when i get it....... Because, I LOVE brawling in city etc. Most of my games played are in medium tanks so i can work around the penn. And i played it in the test server and it was Freeking Awesome.

Nice video! :) Jingles, You need to remember, that E-100 and Maus are very shy tanks. So, please, angle Your turretface away from enemy while reloading. E-100 turretface is plain flat. And as You said in the video, HEAT ammo loves flat surfaces. So angle that face 45 degrees, and You´ll bounce shots like-a-boss. Turret sides on both German heavys are angled and tuff enough to make You a rolling bunker. With a boomstick. Remember, shy-like-a-boss. to be a boss. As You are. A boss. Keep up!

Jingles, you should carry couple of HE rounds, they are perfect to finish low hp tanks and WTF E100 loves them too.

I cant believe how time flies. I saw this video when it was released and now i saw it in my feed, YT says video is from 4years ago ...damn. And it is still not long enough when that gun, and all other 750dmg guns had 850 guns. ISU 152 with 286mm pen and 850 dmg in tier 8. Also foch 155 3x 850dmg ...jgpz e100 1250 dmg ...holly fuck.

Ya know, all those big potential damage number reminded me of the game in my IS 6 where i took about 8k potential damage. Still no ace tanker, damnit.

Good job Jingles, come to the light side! :) E-100 is a pure brawler like E-75 go to peoples faces with it and block crucial points with it and its lots of fun. I only load HEAT if I come across a maus(if I get its side or rear turret AP does the job) or have to fight E3 or another E-100 from medium distance. Load up couple of HE at the start if enemies have lots of fast french tanks, they will be first to get spotted and save some for those WTs also. btw. if you keep your tank at the thick of it you get alot of spotting damage too and that helps you to compensate the low rate of fire in E-100. I usually rack up 2-5k spotting damage in my E-100 or IS-4.

it seems that they made it so that if you have the chance to finish them off after 9.0 that you always leave them with 50 or less hp for some reason

Playing E-100 without gold ammo can greatly improve your skill in both aiming for tanks weakspots and proper brawling, as you have to do that to compensate for poor ACC - and belive me, it really works; thats how I learned how to correctly play tier X. Now I have almost 400 battles in my E-100, with avarage of 900 exp, and 2 gold shells fired in total.

Jingles I must say thank you for this video. I had wondered if I was the only one suffering with poor performance with the E100s AP ammo. I too had a similar experience to you where AP was just not cutting it. I was thinking, "REALLY! Is this what I spent 6million credits for? A gold spamming tank..." (P.S. I can't stand gold spamming tanks). Spamming gold got old (and I felt dirty) so I said there has to be a better way. For a number of battles I even relegated myself to spamming HE ammo which worked, actually, initially. However I stopped getting those results and said I need to improve... I need to learn... Long story short I have since improved my ability to run with AP ammo and carry ALL 3 ammo types. This video confirms for me what I believe I have learned and still AM learning. So thank you and it helps to see that someone with your experience, also, had the same E100 issue as myself. Look forward to more videos and keep tankin'!

The thing I love about the deathstar is when I used it in testing. I shot a Maus with it (Which for those who don't know, has more health than any tank in the game) One shot, brought it down to 38% health.

I saw the video of quickybaby first. It was interesting to seeyou side too now. I usely stored 10 HE and the rest half half AP and HEAT. I can react good at near every situation. Mighty Jingles why do you don't use HE in the E 100?

why did the turret bot blown off when the jpz e100 anmo racked him ?

Hey Jingles I wanted to ask if you can make a video about the T32, because it's also very frustrating like the E100: bad penetration, not accurate and the AP ammo cost a lot for the bad penetration it has. and often you'll have a good game ( and the day's double) and you see red numbers after most games.

jingels go check out what t28 and t28 prototype drives have to go though on the 105 its so bad i just use the 90 and that sucks i make it to the t28 and i sold it i hated soooooo much beacuse its costs 1,000 silver per round regular

Been playing World of Tanks for four years+ and I have yet to get a Tier 10 tank. Currently Tier 9 on the British medium line, loving the Centurions, and Tier 9 on the American heavy tank line, not loving the M103 as much.

Jingles, try angling your turret in the e100 as well as your hull

Jingles should have made a video with the standard ammo against tanks that are facing him head on since the ammo itself does not have any problems penetrating the sides of any T10 tank with the exception of the Maus. Once you engage competent and semi competent tankers who know how to use their armor then you will really see the massive disadvantage that the standard rounds are coupled with the gun's accuracy, aim time and reload.

You mixed up the penetration of the gold ammo of the 150mm with the 128mm at 1:45.

I'm grinding to the E-100, so I've tried it on the test server. I've tried it with both guns and a variety of loadouts, but I personally have had more success with the 1.28 cm gun and AP rounds with a stock 10 to 15 HE. Just my personal preference.
