I almost always play DDs. Some times too aggressively 😖😖 sometimes if I get zunk I'll bug out and sometimes I'll watch. It seems like there's always some BB player with almost full health with about 45 seconds

I can take my Fuso or Nagato for a ride, since the Tirpitz isn't quite representative of BB play, so they'd be more "standard". Alternatively, I've got the Warspite at tier 6 or the Nelson at tier 7, but I was kind of looking at doing a full review for the Nelson first, so maybe not her. I do still have a Bayern and a Gneisenau around (but again, the Gneisenau being a battlecruiser, she's got a bit of a unique playstyle). How does that sound? As for the maps, I liked the idea to discuss a single map in-depth, since there's quite a bit to map meta.

Fun and games with Terry I’m also running Nagato so would be very interesting. I have the Schanhorst also but not doing very well with it. I’m either too aggressive or not aggressive enough and then don’t make enough points.

Fun and games with Terry your game play also seems more planned where mine is a chaos theory where I react to what’s happening. I’ve done well over 5500 battles but I don’t think I have a fighting style locked down. Some days are brilliant and other I get my butt kicked!

Fuso and Nagato it is, then. I've got a Mogami on the list for reviews, I've gone through the British light cruisers but only retained the Minotaur (didn't like the ones before the Neptune much, especially the Edinburgh still gives me nightmares). Yes, I do usually try to get my head around the map meta, at least in tier 6 and above. If you're playing tier 10, you need to have that locked in, otherwise you'll die very quickly - tier 10 is hard. Looking back, I started playing the game not long after it came out, and things were waaaay easier then. BBs sailing in straight lines, no one pays attention, zero map awareness, no one knew how things really worked. But people learn, and today you'll get opponents even in lower-tier games who know very well what they're doing. In a way, this keeps the game challenging, because if you don't keep up with the strategies, you'll struggle. But I can imagine that's also harsh for new players - I've tried playing WoTB, but just constantly get my ass handed to me. That's one of the reasons I started this channel :) Another thing, I watch quite a bit of videos from the PC version of WoWs - even though the gameplay is different, and the combat certainly has different aspects, you do learn quite a bit about tactics, map control, cap control etc. Check out The Mighty Jingles, Flambass, Flamu, The Sailing Robin, Notser etc.

unfortunately, it's one of the most frequent maps :) So far, I can see several camps of how people think it should be played. One is "everyone into the cap, and damn the torpedoes" (these players will get miffed if you're not rushing the cap in the first minute), and then there's the "no cap kill all" faction, who chase down everyone, but kinda avoid the cap. Personally, if I'm in a DD, I'll rush the cap, but not much further than cap line. In a CA / CL, I'd usually make sure the flanks are clean and no DD tries to get around us, then take it from there. In a BB, I either get into the cap at baseline and set up defence there, or secure one of the flanks if the cruisers aren't doing their job. You can play cruiser aggressively on this map - just make sure the enemy team has been spotted. For example, if they clump up in a defensive position behind their islands, you can rush along the flank and begin harassing them from behind. Now they have two choices, either ignore you and let you rack up the damage, or turn around to deal with you. If they do that (and, don't forget, they won't coordinate, so likely more than one player will react) you're creating an opening for your team to push in from the other side. You might die in the process, but I've done runs like that to good effect many times. The power of cruisers is in their speed, manoeuvrability and rate of fire. Find an opening, and exploit it (and, of course, piss off the "everyone into the cap" faction in the process, but hey, can't please everyone :P )

yeah, it's a controversial topic - I could report a huge number of games being lost on the opposite, team concentrating in the cap and getting outflanked and outright murdered. It's coming up so many times, I'll do a separate video about it :)

@@FunandGameswithTerry totally agreed...its Very situational... But one thing i see as rule is whoever caps and holds It First usually wins... Cuz once yougot the cap you feel free to answer to the situations as when you dont have It you are Just Lost and looking for some dmg to save your rank

Depends on the tactical situation, and what class you're in, I'd say. Yes, the target area is super-important, but rush it in a cruiser, and you'll get sunk in no time. DDs can have a go, BBs should set up fire zones, and if I'm in a light cruiser, I try to flank early if possible, harassing and pulling their lines apart. There are situations, like when the whole team lemming-trains to one side or yolos the middle, that you actually have to cap in a cruiser, but most cap-rushes I've seen have ended in disaster if the enemy team has half a clue of what they're doing.

Agreed, the Königsberg is a beast, especially for her tier. You can play gun cruisers successfully, it's just a very different strategy, since you can't tank, and have to rely on fire damage against BB. In return, you get to citadel light cruisers :) I was just obliterated in my Shchors by a Prinz Eugen the other day.
