To be honsest I just think this is natural bb tendencies though - it's only 10% improvement in dispersion and your dispersion is still going to be optimal just outside your spotting, you still win games by taking caps and your dispersion is still better when you're closer in. It just means that people don't feel completely useless when firing from the back of the map, it's still the same poeple who were at the back of the map just they've moved further back.... 10% accuracy is not everything..

@@tomriley5790 actually 10% is misleading as total dispersion area doesn't work linearly (due to the total dispersion area having both a X and Y-axis factor). What this means is 10% DE increase is actually more like 20% improvement which regardless of what BB you're playing makes a huge difference.

What i think is funny or not is that the enemy colorado and lyon that got fucked by the destroyer at the start of the video will now say "fuck it dont want to have to deal with torps and HE anymore" and stay at the back of the map with deadeye too.

Wish more BB players would use deadeye as a tool to not push too fast for accuracy, but get in when armour is needed. Deadeye has been very good for my Kremlin and GK early games, but I still like to brawl and support. Damage that misses/bounces off me is damage my team didn't take. Wargaming, please make spotting damage and potential damage have better rewards.

That. But mostly deadeye being broken on already broken ships. Avg damage went up to 160k on Thunderer and 135k on conqueror, boring as hell though stopped playing them a few days after the update.

For my military history, my go to is Mark Zuehlke. For much (not all) of hos work he has interviewed veterans who fought in the battles he covers (needless to say, vets of WWI were not thick on the ground). He specializes on Canadian troops and the role of the Canadian military in WWII starting with Ortona but going back and covering the entire campaigns of Italy and Northern Europe from the Canadian perspective. I don't know if audible has him but his books are well worth the read.

Dave Bond, James' lesser known brother who stayed in the Navy - Actually even achieved higher rank (Captain, with an on-retirement 'honourary promotion' to Commodore), but couldn't still couldn't match his Siblings fame (though a fair few would point out that thats probably a good thing). ~JD

Tanking has never been meta tho. The only time "tanking" was a thing is back in beta/early release, when BBs had heal and could actually do a lot of pen damage so Cruisers, who back then had no heal and could be fucked had to think before yolo shooting. Back then the main issues were DDs and torps, you got rid of the DD you had an easier time pushing in, being wary of cruiser torps. Now? Overpens on big cruisers, cruisers with heals, cruisers spamming HE like hell, putting you on fire while doing consistent 5k damage, if not more, per salvo. HE spamming BBs that laugh when you try to angle and just randomly shoot at you, dealing 13k damage + fires. You have 0 proper survivability skills unless you're a Conq, then you can reprint your ship, but that's it. Heavy HE damage doesn't get fully healed...BBs pushing in wasn't meta, the only reason you'd push in as a BB is when: 1. DD there is dead 2. You have hydro 3. You have a secondary build 4. Enemy is nowhere to be seen Anything else is just suicide, now with the secondary nerf, there's little to no incentive to push in at all.

True, finally someone who knows what the truth is. I think people mis-remember Smoke-Pushing for the BB "Play forward" style which *no one* had unless you're just playing for fun like some should and would if not for a recently removed CC and three of his buddies :P

@@MrAlex_Raven To be fully fair, back then when a DD died and you had an option to push, you had support from other BBs aswell most of the time, so to a degree, Dead Eye did fuck things up in that regard, but the main issue is still HE spam and fires. Even building full on survivability, you get fucked. Not to mention some CVs and their damage, where 1 bomb drop or 1 torp drop and your HP will be gone, reduced to atoms. What i'd love to see for BB captains to have is 3 main options, with a 4th one being a hybrid, so Survivability, Accuracy and Brawling, with the 4th one being "jack of all trades, master of none" kind of build. By accuracy i don't mean magical Dead Eye accuracy, but maybe an actual 5-10% depending on how many enemies are within your spotting range. Problem with Dead Eye is that it has a 31% accuracy increase...idk how WG did the math...but yea.

I don't think Jingles pointed this out, but not only was the Saipan still sitting at the mouth of the channel when the enemy team rolled around, not only was he not trying to flee even when they actually rounded the island and got into line of sight, he was actually *reversing towards them* at the time. You can clearly see the Saipan moving backwards on the minimap. Granted, this might be a matter of the abysmally bad autopilot that World of Warships has. But the Saipan player should've noticed sooner and either took his chances with the lone Georgia that was fleeing A, or gone right into the channel toward B. All of the enemy ships had left that side of the map, and that's a place nobody would've thought to look for a CV.

@@JackG79 it's more like "Ah-KAH-ts-ki" with the stress placed on the second syllable and the last two getting sort of muddled into one Like it still gets the length of two, but the "u" is almost kind of swallowed and not really audible. Also the a is long like in the word "avocado," not short like in the word "ant" (well at least if you have a North American dialect anyway).

@@JackG79 More or less Technically both are right with the U or without it. It is not a silent vowel it is just very light prounced so that it sounds like it is not spoken. There are areas in Japan where the U is heavily pronounced as well. Like with any spoken language there are local dialects. Since most of the japanese people know comes from Anime, which are mostly produced in the central reason of Japan that is the dialect us westeners are most used to.

Jingles, yes it is true that you don't pronounce the U in akatsuki (あかつき). The general guideline is that if you have a U or an I sound that falls between two unvoiced consonants then the vowel is usually sub-vocalized or just left out completely. So 'Asuka' is pronounced like 'Aska'. Not always the case, but usually.

World of warships, the game that separate the men from the kids. Once separated the men are disgarded. The kids are then bonked on the head with a club, spun around a few times for good measure and sent out into random battles.
