cheapest k-swap in the world. this video was filmed several months ago and some things have been changed since then. I will be posting an update video soon to show the progress.
A conversion harness and immobilizer delete would have made this soo much easier. You need ekk4 mounts for accord trans with eg sub and rsx half shaft.
This is interesting. I checked this video out a while back. Now I'm doing a similar swap (I'm going with the type S harness, conversion harness from ebay, and k pro). Everyone else on the internet had me convinced you need an aftermarket shift plate, custom line kits. They said the stock exhaust manifold wouldn't work. I was convinced you needed the $600 swap axles, and I'm assuming you stuck with the stock intermediate shaft since it wasn't mentioned. Thanks for the vid, lets see how this goes. The deadline for this car show is in two weeks.
How did you modify the T bracket? I have everything from an accord but don't want to pay $700 for the hasport mounts. The ebay mounts are made for k20 transmissions.
The trans is from a newer accord '08+ which the drivers side mount fits but the rear t bracket mount does not. Had to heavily modify the rear mount to make it work.
@@kxmoto29 this video is kinda misleading... the transmission... I respect the fact that you did the 4 fuse boxes and wiring, but you should have mentioned the newer trans. Only the expensive hasport mounts will work with the older accord k24 transmission
It was an empty case we had laying around. We used all the guts from the older '04 transmission. At the time i bought the mounts i didnt realize they werent compatible with the accord transmissions. Luckily we had that trans case laying around..
I built my own conversion harness with 2 relays so i could run the accord harness with the accord ecu and the ek cluster. I got rid of the 2 accord fuse boxes and the accord ignition switch
I know this is an old post - I did THE EXACT same thing with an 04 accord parts car into an EF. I needed the EK4 mounts and a custom shaft on the drivers side - the passenger was a RSX base shaft. What did you use?
He brother - thanks for responding! I should have mentioned mine is an EF (CRX)... I'm a bit confused by your use of the in take regulator - since I can't see your rail in this video I am assuming that it is not the stock rail, that you in fact have an aftermarket rail with a supply in and a supply out type setupp? Thanks again brother.. !!! Really grateful for you for taking the time to respond. I absolutely love the torque that kicks in right before 3000 RPM when VTEC engages. Spins 2nd and 3rd instantly on the stock rims and tires.
