Same here. Besides being a cool project, i love offroad and all related to that, and i also have a 20 year old 4wd Nissan that´s not an XTerra, but is relatively similar, so i´m also learning something useful.
I literally youtube’d how to adjust torsion bars first. Most of what I do I just read tech data or watch someone else attempt it first if I’ve never done it before.
You do a really great job of capturing the struggles with all this stuff. And you have a great spirit of balancing the frustrating bits with the awesome bits when all your hard work is done and the end product can be enjoyed. Great channel! Thank you!
Sarah in rare form this is the first video I got what are watching in there.... someone will understand. We appreciate the extra time it takes thanks for this video.
You have brought back my love of cars, I was so over all the other car channels out there but you are absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for being silly and not afraid to make people laugh with you and at times at you for your antics. Absolutely love you. Keep up the great work. Also it doesn't hurt that you're absolutely gorgeous 😍
Fantastic work Sarah. Sooo much happier you can call on help when you need. This new shop is just what you needed, just when you needed it too. Cheers🤙🤙🤙
Didn’t get the first lyric reference but got the “Crocodile Dundee” reference. Big positive at the new shop: Friends to help out and keep you from going crazy. Big negative at the new shop: Friends that keep you from going crazy are fun... equals blowing off the morning and working at 10:00 PM. Lots of great entertainment, great work, and innuendos! Thanks, Sarah! ~ John
The BendPak Grand Prix lift has elevated the difficulty of the installs that you're performing. I mean I can't imagine you doing this lift kit with jack stands!
You got it done I would have spent days waiting for the tool kit to come in. Then I would have spent another week thinking about it. Your sister is so lucky
Ive watched a lot of your Xterra vids and enjoy them so much. Its a labour of love to own one of these truck.. suv.... jeep... things. Welcome to the club!
Really enjoy your channel Sarah. Especially like watching you work on vehicles, your sense of humour, and your willingness to tackle a job that you haven’t done before. Buy an old beater sometime, film it as you fix it up, then auction it off on EBay.
I'm so glad I finally came across your channel. I've been watching this Xterra buildout. I've been building out my 03 Xterra over the past year for overlanding. If there's one thing being my own mechanic has taught me it's that if a hammer doesn't work, get a bigger hammer.
Great vlog Sarah. I always enjoy your content as your accidental innuendos crack me up and it's great to see your mechanical knowledge at work. Keep up the great work.
Love watching your build inspires me to build my car accordingly and not to neglect maintenance and then mod. Since I’m so use to modding and not up keeping My car
*Watching Sarah fiddle with the torsion bars on a Nissan is so funny to me because I used to loosen mine to lower my truck. You have to remember on a Nissan that the gas tank is on one side of the frame so the weight isn't even when trying to get the truck level. I always had to put the truck on the ground and drive it back and fourth so the suspension settles into its normal ride height. Then you can do a final tweak to get the height the same on both sides.*
👍👌👏 Very well done again and as always (video and work). I wonder if lil sis will ever drive this vehicle!? ;-) 😁 Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health to all of you.
We just bought an 08 Xterra; which I know is different than your sister's, but I now think I need to do a similar lift on it because this looks so much better! I'm so glad I found your channel!!!
I have a 2000 Xterra I pick up for $950 just bought new tires and they rubbed. So I was searching RU-vid and you popped up! Thanks for the entertaining help. My Xterra is getting a (RISE) now that I watched your video. Your humor goes a long way. Thanks
Sarah ~ The Queen of Innuendo. Always stay out of the sun and never bite too many people for lunch. BTW, that Def Leppard shirt is the best one you've worn yet - it reminds me of home.
Impressive watching you install the bushings with the vise. I did have a flashback when you pulled ball joint apart. I had a '78 Mustang that popped an upper ball joint when I was driving home. Lucky for me it didn't fall apart until I pulled in my driveway!
This was one of the most entertaining video yet!! Beating things off, busting nuts!!! I'm no longer normal now! Thanks Sarah! LOLOLOL! I love this channel!..........Oh! And JEFF!! LOLOL!
Enjoyed another video, reinforcing the pleasure of the complete work processes I do on my own machines (Ford AU wagon and new Kawasaki Ninja 400) especially with the lovely female tenaciously demonstrating her considerable skills, look after yourselves, cheers from Australia.
Sarah, I got your reference to the movie. "That's not a knife." Thanks for the tutorial on Nissan torsion bars. I have an 85 King Cab with the same setup. I used to adjust Volkswagen Beetle torsions all the time, so I know what's involved. As always, keep up the great work.
Awesome video Sarah. You don’t let anything stop you 😎. So cool you can ask for help when you need it, and I am positive it is reciprocal. Keep it up! You’re kicking butt and taking names.
Great video! A really good alignment shop should put the vehicle on 4 scales and fine tune the torsion bar adjustment by reading the corner weights after that then adjust the camber, caster and toe!
@Sarah-n-Tuned Linkin Park reference got... "I tried so hard, and got so far... But in the end, it didn't even matter..." The more 4x4 vehicles you work on, you'll find this to become a recurring theme song... 👍🏼
Don’t take any crap. You said you learning as you go. You’ve been putting in work. Get yah something to eat and chill out. The truck is damn near rebuilt underneath. Looking forward to what comes next!👍🏻👍🏻Stay safe mates!😊👍🏻😷
