He sounds like ah thirsty Rottweiler drinking from a toilet bowl. That said, keep mixing and drinking during the segments = good laid back vibe. Maybe a few less minutes of meandering dialog. I like the vibe and setup in studio. A new mic cover to dampen a little feedback. The watch awesome and review good
Your “Everyday Excellence” video with your No Date Sub is one of the best watch videos on RU-vid. They way you show watches in a realistic context without going on and on about specs is very refreshing. Having videos like “Everyday Excellence” for all of your watches where they are in their element (wearing GMT while making coffee then traveling, Santos worn casually and then going to a nice dinner, etc.) would be absolutely killer. I haven’t found another channel that has that kind of content. No words, no specs, just letting the piece speak for itself with real world context. In a world where watches are sadly thought of as investments and safe queens, it’s nice to see someone actually using and enjoying them as they’re meant to be. Just an idea. Keep it up man, your content is great.
Hey hey hey 🤫 you somehow figured out my future plans 😆. All jokes aside I have plans to continue those cinematic videos. I want to bring a variety of video playlist, watch Chris drink, reviews, as well as cinematic videos which I put under “storytelling through time”. I have plans to do something similar with the gmt, just like you said, travel themed. The Cartier tank will get its own video, man I got plans! So make sure you subscribe. I appreciate the feedback,. More content on the way 😁
Congrats and great story! I got mine four weeks ago from my AD after a nine month wait. Yes, it took a sales history. I met my Rolex sale associate at that AD in May of last year and bought a z-blue Milgauss and Polar Explorer II from her last year. In January, when I got my promotion, I called her and asked her for the Pepsi on jubilee to celebrate 20 years with my wife and a big promotion. She surprised me last month when my wife and I were visiting the city she is in to celebrate out anniversary. She had a chocolate anniversary cake from Carlo's and the Pepsi on jubilee for me. My sales associate ROCKS!!! I'd say YES, it's worth the hype. And it's already got special meaning for me. On top of that, it filled the last slot in my watch box, a fantastic way to end the buying part of my watch journey.
Beautiful story. And I remain confident these are the majority of experiences when you go in with the right intentions, you’re patient and kind. However a few bad apples will make the whole bundle seem rotten. Thank you for sharing, and congrats on your promotion….. and your ROLEX 😁!
Hello from California! I’m glad my video made it across your content table. Thank you for watching. Hey we’ll see where this RU-vid thing goes. I appreciate the words of encouragement 🙏🏻
great video ! i got the Rolex Submariner Starbucks in June and it was wonderful experience, they got me on the list for this baby, hopefully I will get the call soon. Wear it in good health brother.
It's good to reward ourselves sometimes . While I'm not one to spend on high-end watch (I spend too much money on travel, lol), I can appreciate your gorgeous and timeless watch. I love how it's a symbol of all your hard work. And i choose nkuwan every time honestly
Am I going crazy, or did I see the one and only Rolly from Theo and Harris at 3:15? I just discovered your channel after Oicin O’Malley mentioned you in one of his latest videos. I’ve been a subscriber of Theo and Harris since they came out. Very cool if you had some kind of a link or relation with them… Anyway, really enjoying getting into your content. Keep up the great work!
Do I know what I know today? If so buy the watch already. I definitely love the experience of buying from an AD, but I would of loved to have the watch years ago.
😆😆😆 shieeeet. I’m really slow with my turn around right now brotha. I don’t want to sacrifice quality. I’ll be filming something new this weekend, I’ll try to edit it quick and have it out next week. Thanks for watching my other stuff.
Today…. Pepsi. I think you don’t lose much. Real world water resistance for day to day is plenty, you get a thinner caseback, gmt movement. But I have both 😅 so thankfully I don’t need to choose.
Beautiful GMT Master 2 Pepsi, 126710BLRO! Congratulations with your amazing journey, on acquiring it! Your honesty and transparency on how you acquired it, is so memorizing! How your ad, got it for your 30th, truly great AD! Other channels on RU-vid, say they never had a purchase history or relationship with an AD! They got the call and Pepsi, these Idiots and Liars either got their Pepsi Grey market or their family member’s with manager or owner of a Rolex Authorized Boutique!
Thank you 🙏🏻 I can’t speak to those who claim to have gotten these coveted watches without purchase history. I know things vary from AD to AD and even from country to country but I know that at the end of the day most Rolex authorized dealers are doing their best to get watches sold to people who truly want to wear them. The best way they know how is to go by purchase history and relationship.
@@ChristopherNegroni your welcome! Well said, if you watch Paul Thorpe who’s been at watch dealer for 30 plus years! He has a lot of friends and acquaintances in the Rolex arena! He has stated on several occasion’s that the hardest rarest piece’s, like the Daytona Panda, Pepsi GMT 2, Blue Sky Dweller, and even the new green lantern lefty GMT 2 126720vtnr! Are all going to the same flipper scum, through the back door! 90 percent of the Rolex watches are going to the flipper scum and grey dealers! While 10 percent, make their way to true watch enthusiasts! Sad, but these are the times of today! 4 to 6 years ago, hulks, Submariners, and GMT’s we’re readily available to consumers to buy on the window display’s!
@@simonassouline45 I have no doubt that those things are also happening. Where there is money to be made, there will be flippers. Ruined it for me and you.
I think you should swap a link from the part of the bracelet that goes from the top of the watch to the quick adjust +5mm extension on the clasp to the other side. Wears much better that way Imo with the clasp more centered on the inner side of the wrist.
@@ChristopherNegroni I mean you're also wearing it too far down, I've seen everywhere that you should wear your watch just above the wrist bone, and for me following this rule plus shortening the inside part of the bracelet had resulted in a better weating experience compared to my previous wristwatches.
@@vali69 I wear it above the bone. But my wrist, like everybody else’s wrist swells and contracts throughout the day. The anatomy also varies drastically for everyone, so I like the way it fits me now, the clasp is centered and the band fits perfect most of the day.
I’m new to your channel; I really enjoyed your Authenticity and describing your experiences with this watch. I’m also happy to see you representing.a younger generation that is keeping this hobby and this brand alive. Also, nice liquor collection back there, I could use a couple of recipes. Keep rocking that Pepsi, I’m taking a trip soon, I know what’s on my wrist. And oh yes, you rock that Cartier too.
Thanks for watching MrValjoux, nice name btw. I hope you have a nice trip, and make some memories with whatever is on your wrist. That’s what it’s all about right 😁
Nothing yet 😅 but I think I’m going to engrave an actual negroni on the back problem is going to be finding a good engraver. Thanks for watching! And congrats on the new pickup
Hey Chris! Definitely you are the coolest dude in the watch community 😎 I love the vibe of your videos and your fashion sense 😀 "Everything I do is for the 17-year-old version of myself". Virgil Abloh I'm sure I'm not the only want who want to know more about your favourite music and fashion 🙃
Walked in Windsor told them I wanted a BLNR jubilee to wear on my wedding day. 5 months later I get the call just in time for my wedding. No purchase history no follow up and I haven’t spoken to the guy since.
Enjoyed this video! Are you ever worried/concerned about theft with people seeing it and knowing the value? I want one but that aspect of it gives me some anxiety.
Thank you David. I'd be lying if I said that didn't concern me, I'd like to think that I practice being aware of my surroundings, and when and where I choose to wear certain watches. Unfortunately that is the reality of wearing any luxury timepiece. I will say that having watch insurance (I use Hodinkee as they have been excellent so far) helps to alleviate some concern. I would never be able to replace MY watch, but I have the piece of mind that I protected myself with its inherent monetary value.
@@ChristopherNegroni thanks for taking time to respond considering this is an old video. Trying to build up purchase history to buy a pepsi.. also all purchases i would have bought regardless like a ring for the wife.
With respect to hype history. Daytona in steel has been super hot since the 90s. But the first time a non steel daytona started to get a premium, was the batman. So the Batman was the OG hype watch.
Thanks for the video - I looked it up because I’m considering the Pepsi and I just got a Cartier santos myself and then the Tudor (I guess panda) just becoming nuts into this - had bristling and and IwC Portuguese from a while back I am from long island and I wonder if you think I should try and AD or just get it on the grey market ? And this is prob a stupid question but is AD only rolex or can it be a jewelry store that sells rolex? Thanks
Hey Ronnie, sounds like you are fully addicted to the hobby 😆. Thanks for watching. So retail vs grey. It all depends on the individual. I’m not opposed to just buying the watch from a reputable dealer (I can help and point you in the right direction) but I understand the person who wants it from the authorized AD. If you have the means and you don’t want to play the games, there’s nothing wrong with just finding a clean example and just buying. No such thing as a stupid question. There are Rolex Authorized dealers who are stand alone locations as well as AD’s who are operated out of a jewelry store. Some are even attached to other brands, which is great for building spending history for us watch geeks.
@@ChristopherNegroni Thanks Chris! and by the way Ive been watching a ton a videos, I literally fall asleep watching them. I watch Oisin O malley and he recommended your channel and thats how I found it. Just figured I would let you know., and yes if you wouldn't mind pointing me one way, I will definitely try it out. Thanks so much
@@ronniebona359 check out OCwatchguy. He has a ton of review on the Rolex forum. Has a website with great inventory. And can generally can any piece you’re looking for. Patrick is the owner, give him a shout if you decide to go that way.
I enjoy your content very much and find it to be interesting and high in production quality. You are a handsome, likable guy with amazing watches and cool stories to tell. Detracting from that is the alcohol. IMHO your amazing content would be even better without the drink.
I really appreciate the honest feedback. But life without a drink here and there…. Not that it wouldn’t be possible, it would be less enjoyable. I hope you still subscribe and watch my content regardless.
Hey , Christopher! You’ve answered me before and I love the channel so I have another question for you if you don’t mind . I’m getting married and I cannot decide between gold or silver wedding ring . I see you have a gold ring on does it bother you that it’s two different metals on you or does it not matter . I appreciate any answer you give
Hey man, when I got my yellow gold ring I didn’t have any other jewelry, certainly didn’t wear watches yet. But I knew I wanted something classic. If I could redo I would get a platinum ring. But in all honestly I don’t mind mixing metals, I have a rose gold watch and wear it with a yellow gold ring and sometimes yellow gold necklaces. It’s no big deal
@@ChristopherNegroni thank you so much . I am just getting into watches now and either way if I get silver or gold I’ll watches the opposite color no matter what . I might do two tone . I appreciate the answer it looks good on you so that’s why I asked
I got mine around 6 weeks ago and although it’s a great watch I’m a little disappointed. Version 3 imo they have toned down the bezel insert too much that it just dosent pop the way I would have wished . Navy and burgundy presents just too dull for my tastes . My buddy’s version 1 personally I much prefer , people complained about pinky and purple tones personally don’t really see it . In fairness I’ve rarely worn in as I wear my watches loose and always order a couple of extra links with rolex jubilees so still awaiting for them to arrive .maybe once I start to wear it properly I will probably bond with it and love it .
That’s surprising to read honestly. In my honest opinion I think they perfected the bezel with the version 3. The earlier Pepsi’s where far too pink/ purple for my taste. Look at photos of the old Bakelite bezels, idk these v3 give me the same vibes I love it. Ultimately maybe we’re overthinking it and maybe you’re right we need to bond with our watches more.
Thank you! No I just looked because you had me paranoid 😅 but it’s the angle, there’s a shadow over the top of the 5. It’s difficult to capture these watches but I have a couple lights shining and reflectors it’s a whole thing 😆
Great video. First time viewer. I currently rock a speedmaster 3861. Expressed my interest for either the Pepsi and Batman to expand the collection. Looking forward to the journey, frustration and all.
Frustration will be apart of it. I hope you’re one of the lucky ones that doesn’t have to wait too long. Thanks for watching. Btw love the new speedy, I will definitely pick up a speedy eventually.
Great video 🙏👏. I think it was Marc Goldberg that said “is this a hobby or is it a sickness”, definitely the latter 🤣 You should also think about the 16710 at some stage. They work really well together in a collection. Cheers 🥃
I love what John Mayer did with his watch. He had it engraved Mr J C Mayer. He freely admits to not being “that” but when he wears that Patek he is Mr J C Mayer
@@ChristopherNegroni subscribed thanks to timeless… maybe an engraving rather than a name..a Beautiful glass of coloured Negroni..ha ha that would be unique..
I have a video under my series “watch Chris drink” “go to watches and go to drinks” I did the Negroni. It’s easy equal parts, sweet vermouth, gin, Campari.
@@ChristopherNegroni I have flipper friends, that’s how the greased the wheel and started the relationship too. Now they get any Rolex watch they want and they flip them all.
@@ChristopherNegroni As I said, it doesn’t solve or help flipping. It’s just a way for greedy ADs to make more money off of customers/flippers who are willing to play the game. Read Yelp reviews, so many people buying other watches/jewelry for a dream/hope of getting a Rolex. Yet I know 2 flippers who get every Rolex they want from ADs.
@@brandolee808 you’re right that happens. But I believe that’s not the norm. You don’t hear about the regular everyday guy getting that sub or gmt they wanted. You only see the negative reviews, and complaints online. I don’t think it helps anyone to just call it all a scam and give up.
"My journey to the Pepsi??" Oh, please ... Really tired of hearing about the Pepsi, and wonder out loud why you Rolex reviewers can never talk about any other models?
Another “all you talk about is Rolex commentator” oh please, why don’t you stumble upon one of those homage pages, or reviewers who lie to everyone and say the JLC Polaris is better than a submariner 😂. Thanks for watching though 😜#rolexisking #hatersgonnahate
@@ChristopherNegroni I like your videos, and I like Rolex. My point was that a high percentage of Rolex videos focus on the "Pepsi," and I don't buy the hype.
@@jamesmoninger1982 plus I would like to add this was 6 months into ownership. I was still very much in the honey moon phase and I think many people appreciated that pov.
