I was also thinking I would go for the $20 million and choose Hbox. Even though I play Sheik I don't think it would be too difficult to bait him into resting me when he's at like 80 and then I can just get the stock on respawn. If the opponent knows my goal and has incentive to oppose me from achieving it, then I would probably just choose Zain or aMSa since I've played them in major brackets before and took 1-2 stocks every game.

I think you are over inflating the skill of NBA players where as the primariy difficulty comes from genetic factors. At the end of the day, everyone only has 24 hours in the day, and if you put in the time anyone can get to the point where they can consistently make 3 pointers, or dribble well. The main issue is that you don't have the athletic build + height to overcome your disadvantages with practice. In Smash where everyone has the same characters, genetics don't play as big of a role. Furthermore, in Basketball, there is no way to make scoring a point easier, and there is no way realistically for someone to score on themselves. To make the analogy more similar, I would add the stipulation that it is guaranteed that your opponent won't SD, and that after each stock your opponents health gets reset. At which point, this bet becomes unbelievably difficult. Just as an NBA player could just focus on you not scoring, smash players could now just focus on not letting you take a stock.
