id say adhd medication DEFINITELY improves play at a lower skill level. I can't speak for top play, but it makes sense to me that they would already have to be so zoned in and practiced that it wouldn't make a difference at that point
Very good shoe Tafo, it's great that you have such a history with known abusers, this will be a fun era to look back on lmao this is your true legacy lmao
Ty for bringing content that is interesting enough to actually talk about stuff like this Jack 27:50 "Why not take the easier matchup?" is a bit of a misleading question. Amsa is part of the matchup not just Yoshi. If Amsa has spent the time learning all matchups with Yoshi the most, then his odds are actually the best as Yoshi. If you could argue that another character could accomplish more, then the question would be "How many hours learning matchup(s) would it take to perform the same as Amsa's Yoshi?" and I think that number might hit a point where it would be a full character switch, but then is Amsa going to put in MORE hours than he has as Yoshi vs Fox compared to Fox v Fox? It seems kind of absurd to even wonder, and is especially interesting to think about because of how niche Yoshi is, in terms of mechanics
Not really sure about the narrative that Armada would DQ when he couldn't find a good controller. Did this ever happen beyond that one Dreamhack in 2017?
there are rumors his drop out from frame perfect singles was due to controller issues, but yes most of the time he would source a controller that worked from 100s (very insane situation to have been normal for a decade)
Did some runs on the outdoors court the other day and I shot a stepback 3 in some elderly's face while yelling "MIKEY" in honor of the goat and it was nothing but net
Not sure why, but this episode felt like more like a loose collection of poorly rehashed smash memes than a smash debate show with comedy themes. Definitely looking for better prep and execution from the contestants, bc tbh they rarely have the improv skills to succeed off the cuff (i.e. Chroma, Slime, etc.)
i mean. i respect the honesty and sincere critique but i think the bar is set pretty low for melee content when the community's relatively small and this is already well exceeding that
Walt going back in 2008 to destroy the future of Melee before Melee even had a chance to shine in his attempt to gain more clout is so based. Walt knows the impact of that moment very intimately, and he would STILL risk Melee not having that big clip in his search of clout.
It's probably the autism tax, honestly. It's exhausting to "mask" so that people like you, and it's nearly impossible for most of us to do consistently when we have our attention split between a couple of things at once, like playing a video game and streaming/interacting with chat.
