I swear these dramatic tunes that keep evolving with each expansion pack are what kept me playing even after all other content got stale/broken. Almost a year since I quit and now I feel drawn to it so strongly once more. So damn hypnotic...
0:01-0:58 , EVERY single time i listened to this part i was full of exitement , then around october 28th the took out this music and put the wotlk music in , i started playing wow in august 2008 , dam this music is like pure heaven theres no video game that would be as good as this game was in the first 3 months ive played , the noob days were the best time ever !
@MasterofKnees I remember the first time I stood in front of the Dark Portal, in Blasted Lands. I thought: Wow I really want to know how it looks behind this Portal. And one year later I went trough this Portal and saw the Hellfire Peninsula the first time^^
omg , this is the first time ive listened to this music in like 2 years , damm its been a long time , i miss this music so much lol this is like the only song i havent listened to as a raider and this is the only song that i listened to as a noob ONLY , damm i miss the good old noob days you can never get them back :(
Among all the expansions, the thing that made this one stick out the most was the one-of-a-kind sense of mystery and exploration you got when you first stepped out of the dark portal into other-worldliness of Hellfire and the rest of Outland (my personal favorite is Blade's Edge). WotLK and Cata don't even come close to accomplishing this. I'll never forget the time I shat my pants when I first heard the Fel Reaver patrolling the questing areas outside of Honor Hold.
To me a theme like this really has to shine from the start and through the first minute, because that it what you'll be hearing the most, and that's why I find this to be the best of all the WoW themes there have been - 0:24 is just too damn epic!
I actually wish i could go back 4 years to play this again, this expansion was by far the greatest game EVER, the expansion was so flawlesss fuccccccccK BLIZZARD WHAT HAVE U BECOME :(
Man, this reminds me of the glory days of the best guild I was ever in, back when my main was a level 36 warlock in an RPing guild and I was so slow to level even the other RPers told me to hurry up!
i remember when i was 10 years old, my bro give this game to me, and it was so fantastic to play it. I remember my first char was a tauren warrior, and that was beautiful when i swam int the little lake inside of thunder bluff
@matteriaa You just paraphrased my entire mind. I can't agree with you on how much the community has plunged since this expansion. I was brand spanking new to WoW (And I miss that feeling of not knowing what's going on), and I somehow ran to Menethil Harbor from Coldridge on my lvl 8 gnome mage. This lvl 70 nelf rogue named Elenn, she psts me "Are you lost? Me: "idk. im travelling :D" Elenn: "I'll show you around!" To think, a max lvl veteran player would take time on HER will to help someone.
Fucking thank you. People have no reason to hate Cataclysm, they just do. They have no logical arguments against it, other than the fact that "vanilla was just the best because it just was". I've had more fun in Cataclysm than I ever have before, mechanic-wise. Nostalgia-wise, BC was the best, because it was a brand new beautiful world to explore. I'm just glad not everybody's blinded by nostalgia.
@MrCodysir TBC was epic villainwise, because the expansion focused around this League of Villains per se. Illidan the ringleader, his cohorts Prince Kael'thas and Lady Vashj, the Illidari, the Naga, and the Blood Elves. Along with Akama the Broken. They were unstoppable and made everyone cringe knowing these villains banned together.
I run the old Cavern of Time instances like Durnholde just to hear this theme since it's the only place you can still hear it playing WoW. It does feel like TBC got the short end of the stick when it comes to vanilla WoW and the 2 expansions. WOTLK came out so quickly after TBC that it was like you lvl through Outlands zones, grinded for TBC end teir, then the moment you completed the set WOTLK came out and you got rid of it for Howling Fjord / Borean Tundra greens.
