It’s a song, written by Willie Nelson- it’s not an autobiography, she’s just singing a song with feeling and understanding.

Here's a 1992 version which is fairly jazzed-up; he was playing a straighter version but still in Patsy's tempo because he grew to prefer hers than his original. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_0jOR5DC0rM.html

Patsy Cline has one of the best country voices around. Patsy had so many great hits such as "She's Got You", "When I Get Through With You", "So Wrong", "Leavin' On Your Mind", "Walkin' After Midnight", "I Fall To Pieces" "San Antonio Rose", "Blue Moon Of Kentucky", "Half As Much", "He Called Me Baby", "Faded Love", "Imagine That". She was only 31 when she died in a plane crash in 1963. In 1985 Jessica Lange starred in the movie about Patsy's life called "Sweet Dreams. Home Free did a great cover of "Crazy" recently.

Patsy is the QUEEN!!! WILLIE DAMN NELSON wrote "Crazy" as an upbeat song. Patsy took it and slowed it down to a heartbreak ballad. This BRILLIANT song is as old as I am...LMAO!!! Anything from her catalog is GOLD!

There's something extra special about someone who can sing a ballad without frills and vocal tricks and make it sound amazing. Her voice crossed over from country to pop and was appreciated in her own time, Her sudden death was a huge shock,

Patsy Cline was from my hometown of Winchester Virginia and my mom went all through school with her. I remember the day of the plane crash and my grandmother came out to the barn and my dad and I were milking the cows and she told us about the plane crash and we were so upset and my mom was heartbroken. Actually our family burial plots are in the same cemetery where she's buried. By the way he backup singers were the Jordanaires who also backed up Elvis Presley. The also film part of her life movie not far from where we lived Sweet Dreams. Every time I hear her songs I remember hearing them on our local radio station WINC. I still get emotional when I hear her sing.

He gave it to her too sing and she didn’t think she could sing it the way Willie did and he told her to sing it the way she wanted and felt the song should be and the rest is history.

Patsy was the queen of country while Hank Williams was the king. This particular song was written by Willie Nelson and was the top contender for inducing crying-in-your-beer outcomes in every bar across the country. The song goes straight to your heart and had a universal impact on most people. She massively bloomed in popularity and soon thereafter died in a plane crash in TN. Everyone to this day remembers her beautiful soulfulness because it was so real. Brenda Lee who knew her said: "she was a real broad in the best sense of that word." Patsy and Hank are immortal, nothing has changed their brilliant artistry however brief that it was!

The backing vocals by the Jordanaires appeared on all of Patsy Cline's Decca sessions from her first in November 1960 to her last in February 1963, during which time they backed her on songs such as Crazy, I Fall to Pieces, Walkin' After Midnight. They are widely known for providing background vocals for Elvis Presley in live appearances, recordings, and feature films from 1956 to 1970.

Hey thanks for doing this reaction. Love Patsy Cline one of the best voices ever period! This particular song of hers went straight to number one. It was written by Willie Nelson believe it or not. A song about someone who can't help loving someone who doesn't love her. Yes patsy was beautiful and will always be young as she died in a plane crash at 29 leaving behind her beloved mother. Husband and 2 babies. Pure talent gone way to soon. There is a great movie about her life called "Sweet Dreams" after her hit song of the same name. Also try "I Fall To Pieces" , "Faded Love"

Patsy was classified as a country singer, but really this a rhythm and blues treatment here. She could sing any damn thing. Quick get me a phone book.....her long notes and breath control, phrasing and tone quality was impeccable...there's no typical country singer singing through their nose here.....full breath support and open throat, pure tone.

Patsy Cline was one of the first major country stars. Unfortunately she died young in a plane crash but not before she mentored Loretta Lynn (another country star in the 60's and 70's) Loretta's younger sister Crystal Gayle was also a country star in the 70's. Patsy Cline was an American singer. She is considered one of the most influential vocalists of the 20th century and was one of the first country music artists to cross over into pop music. Born in Winchester, VA September 8, 1932. Died in Camden TN March 5, 1963.

Hi Adogg - Patsy Cline is one of the Best VOICES - not just country music - but MUSIC in general. This song was written by Willie Nelson. Her delivery of the song is TIMELESS. (Check out any singer who has tried to duplicate the way she sang this song over the years - and THEY HAVE TRIED - just saying...) For anyone who appreciates music - Patsy Cline was in a different league, because of the tone of her voice and the way she interpreted/sang the songs. She died tragically in a plane crash when she was 31. Her music catalog is not as extensive as some singers, but she was an AMAZING singer. And I don't care what genre of music anyone favors - she was in a class unto herself. I LOVE your channel - and I wish you the best! Take care!

You need to watch the movie Sweet Dreams about Patsy's life story. Jessica Lange portrayed her and Ed Harris portrayed her cheating husband. She was singing about HIM. And then watch Loretta Lynn's movie Coal Miner's Daughter made in 1980. Sissey Spacek played Loretta and Tommy Lee Jones portrayed her husband. I absolutely LOVE the scene of when she got to sing for the first time on the radio. It was a HOOT and and a half! You got to see both of those movies. They were classics!

Greetings from Montreal. A little about myself. I am a huge music fan. I was weened on 60's pop and rock while still in elementary school. My first single (45rpm) was Riders on the Storm by the Doors. My first Lp was Machine Head by Deep Purple. My First CD was War by U2. I listen to music every day. I read about music. I watch music documentaries. I have attended upwards of 100 concerts, including Queen (5 times with Freddie Mercury), Black Sabbath, Billy Idol, The Police, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Heart, Stevie Wonder, the Beach Boys, Foreigner, Journey, Yes, Def Leppard, The Cars, ZZ Top, U2 and Kiss, to name a few. In recent months, I discovered reaction videos. I venture onto RU-vid daily to watch several people, Including you, as they react to a variety of music. Today, I have decided to subscribe to all the channels I frequent. I will not likely comment on a daily basis, but I will surely make some reaction suggestions. Here are three to start with JOHNNY MATHIS - WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL (Hauntingly beautiful) NAZARETH - RAZAMANAZ (A true rock song) LITTLE BIG - TACOS (Who said music can't be fun, or funny?) If you've already hear or reacted to any, feel free to ignore, but, if they are new to you, I assure you, they will not disappoint ZED
