You mention so many good points about not always trying to make your own Bible journaling/study like others. It's really about our own walk and relationship with the Lord. He isn't going to download to us every tidbit of information at one time. I've read the Bible many times in my walk and still find something new every time I read it. I appreciate your videos and how you encourage us along the way.💜
Thank you so much for your insight, it was what I needed to hear. Your words of encouragement mean a lot. I get caught up of wanting to make sure everything I put in bible is perfect, but you just touched on don’t worry about mistakes. Ultimately, this time is between me and God and He meets us where we are and does not expect me to be perfect.
Greeting from the uk i❤love❤ highlighting and underline in my bible im an adult but i❤love❤my orange and black extreme teen bible and the daily devotional that goes with it i particularly❤love❤these type of videos

Ok...I spent the day catching up with your videos and...I’m doing this!! Thank you for inspiring me and for sharing your beautiful talent! May He continue to Bless and Keep you and your loved ones! Your soul is Gorgeous!
Hello Cat. I am trying to begin bible journaling. I am a note taker and a student of the Word, but the bible garden definitely seems like a tool I can use and incorporate it in my women's ministry. I think this is a perfect tool to teach them how to grow in the word and how to study. Thank you
I truly pray and hope that you keep doing what you are doing because you have inspired me so much to get back into God’s word and I am so excited about it. May God Bless you and your family :)
Cat this is awesome! Sweet to take the time to show your tips. For me, I never did write or add notes and put stickers in a bible. Grew up just to read the bible not to mark in it or write notes ! Love the translations to better understand as well your bible reviews I got a Bible I can really get into too. Keep doing them!!!!! Thanks to you it is OK to make it your own! With out feeling bad. I feel , to me I am getting closer to God's word and it's awesome . Your channel is a truly a blessing for newbies like me to get into the bible and make it it your very own! Hey, I like the tip about writing questions in the margin, as well as the reference verses. Never thought or writing out the complete verse, though. I have written where to reference to. Journaling and note taking Bibles would also be great for giving a bigger margin to make notes with. Thanks for sharing, ADEBO (Tim's wife) 💖
Thank you so much for your help and encouragement in writing in our bibles, Cat. I need to start practicing writing small so I can make legible and memorable notes. While computers are helpful, they have taken away the time we spent practicing cursive writing. Have a blessed day, Sis.
Thank you for sharing so many ideas! I love the Slicci for my Bibles, I also use a Mr Pen multi liner .25, I was surprised at how well it did couldn't find a slicci at any local store), but there is more shadowing than with the slicci. There is a verse that I consider 'my favorite verse' and anytime I get in a funk, I dig into that verse again from a different version of the Bible, lights the fire every time.
Please girl a messes bible is a loved bible I always tell myself. Yes I want them to stay looking soooo prefect and brand new but I just love going through each of them at the end of the year and really reflecting on my Spiritual Walk 💜📚💜
@@artistocracy oh girl...u should see my Journaling Bible now!!! Its a mess!!! Lol...but I love doing it!!! I've just recently started scripture writing...its soooo helpful and it really does help u remember what u read and study!!! I pray we both fall deeper into his word and study harder!!!
@@thisgirllovesgod Hi Alice, that made me smile! Honestly, I have never written in a bible and even made a video about it a week ago....then a few days ago I found Cat....and yesterday I started...so am really only 1 day in....and after a while I got the hang of what I liked. There shall be no markings on the text, however! But...I like doing artwork around the text that is important to me. I've written in dedicated notebooks. I'm a fine artist, so do get to do artwork....so in my bible, a Cambridge Concord wide margin brand new...eeek....I have begun and discovered that a decorative style is really nice! Hi sister, from Australia!
@@artistocracy Australia!!! Awesome!! I don't write on the words either..I throw stickers on every page and draw in my margins...I even write prayers out and glue the paper i write it on in between the Bible pages!! I'm telling ya..my Bible is a mess!!! Lol.. I know u are ahead of me time wise...sorry just seeing this...I'm from the states..be blessed!!oh by thecway...I just subscribed to ur channel!!
Thank-you so much. Perfect timing. I bought a new bible, a journaling bible & it arrived today. I have only written my name & date in it. Time to get some new pens. I’m very excited to start into a new bible. 😊
Hello Gina, I started Bible journaling about two months ago; it has been excited; I am using the Tyndale Inspire Bible. Some pens that are great for Bible journaling are Mr.Pen. Also, they have highlighters that do not bleed thru the bible pages. You can find them on Amazon prices are very reasonable.
I love using my my promise bible and gel pens to spend time with the lord and let his word soak up into my heart that bible there has lots of pages and beautiful color pages and details they had put into that bible and spacs to also write what the lord plants onto my soul i love it its amazing you should try the pilot precise v5 extra fine there amazing also
Great video and message, Cat. I am guilty of falling into trying to fill a “marking quota” forcing thoughts on the page. It’s just not the season in your life for that passage
Wow Cat, thank you for showing us how to do this, I could not figure out how to write in the gutter! And you are right, I do stress out sometimes about what I write in my bible and know I shouldn’t. And thanks for the tips on pens also! Very helpful and you are such an encouragement and inspiration!!Blessing sis!❤️
Thanks sis! I really enjoyed this video and all that you had to say was so on point, great advice sis! Thank you, love you! And I love how your sweet kitty was nestling up next to the Bible when you were talking about Noah.
Lots of good info in this video. I've kept a Bible journal for a while now, but I've discovered that I need my notes right in the Bible or I may not be able to find them when I need them. Thanks again for this video.
I am left handed and writing in the top margin is always a challenge for me because of the way I hold a pencil and drag my hand across a page. I am fussy about pens because of that because of ink smear. An absolutely great pen for lefties is the Uniball Signo DX in the fine point.
I also love writing in my Bibles I have a new king James version Journaling Bible and a catholic life Bible can I write in them with a regular pen 🖊 🙏 ❤️
Thank you for sharing those pens. I have an art project I’ve wanted to do; that involves The Bible, and I’ve been questioning which pens I would use for it. Because I will need to be able to write very tiny, I would imagine these pens would be a great choice. What inspires the various artwork you have all over your Bible? What inspires you to switch between writing, drawing, and/or using additional paper, such as the 3D butterfly in the middle of one of the pages?
Oh no I'm not a fan of those. They dry out to fast or I use then up too fast 😁🤭 but the Micron have a marker tip and you still will have a hard time writing this small. Trust me I've tried them after hearing everyone talking them up. I'm not impressed with them at all especially for the money. 🖊📖💜📚💜
Thanks so much! A friend sent me and we share the same passions, a little different! I would LOVE to do a collaboration and I will be doing a shout out! Sonja sent me your way! Blessings over your ministry!
Great video Cat. Thank you!! Also the info on the pens you use. I always thought the micron 005 were about the smallest but what you use are even smaller. You said several things that really got me thinking & touched my heart. Thank you. God bless you
I am so thankful for all of you videos. The information you share is truly an inspiration for me💐💐💐💐thank you. Are the flowers on the pages placed by you? The really make the pages look so beautiful.
@@catwoods5499 I also bought some that you were talking about in your video, just cause the pilot does bleed through some and I was trying to find some for my bible.😁
I’ll have to check Walmart for a pen like that and stickers. My blue micron is also drying out and I barely used it. I really like the stickers you added. Where do you get all your bible journaling stuff? I was looking at a KJV My Creative Bible tonight but I have a wide margin I could add stickers to also. I have a hard time writing notes. Your tips were helpful!
Cat woods I just bought a Longprimer 53C to underline in and use as my cross reference bible for bible study. I’m so happy you made this video because I don’t want to write in my Schuylers, they’re my readers. 😬 I have to break this habit. :)
Cat, I enjoy your videos!! Do you use symbols and abbreviations? I’m always looking for ways to shortcut what I write in restricted areas. God bless you really good!
Hi Cat I'm Rebecca I've been watching your videos for a little while now and I just love seeing your different Bibles and what you do with them. I have the Bible too and I'm working on reading the whole thing in a year I'm actually almost done because I started in the spring of 2019. So I'm getting very close. I know you have a ton of different Bibles but do you feel that that's really necessary for someone to have ? I hope to hear from you is thank you so much in advance.
I know 100s of my sisters and brothers all have many different types of bibles in their collection which they turn to whatever bible they feel their spirit is leading them to as they grow stronger in God's Word. Personally I have many different bibles because this is the platform God has me on. Sharing His Holy Word with you all. (I'm mean think of it this way) when was the last time you seen a commercial or advertisement over a new bible or ANY BIBLE😮 there is not. Unless you get signed up for some emails or a catalog. Well God wants that to change and He's created RU-vid channels like mine to come in His name and give Glory to His Holy Word. Owning so many different bibles has really opened my eyes & heart to learn so much more than I could ever have if I only read from one bible. Why do you believe you only need one bible?
@@catwoods5499 I believe that God made different bibles because just like us we are all different. So we meant to find the one that is unique to us and speaks to us and allows us to grow most in our relationship with our Lord. I think having a lot of bibles makes it hard make that close relationship with the Lord. I hope what I'm saying is making sense. Thank you so much for getting back to me it really means a lot to me.
I love how God showed you how that passage from the OT was relevant to your life ❤️ Great video. Thanks for sharing. Oh, may I ask, about how much time do you spend in your Bibles each day?
I have a world bible school study edition journaling bible with no margin can I write in the aces of my Bible or do I have too use a regular notebook or a journal ❤
You were going to say when you write in blue or black or purple. I haven't found it in the different videos. Some of your writing is in black and some in blue. I haven't seen your writing with purple. Is it a specific video?
Ok, I am sincerely asking, why don't you use a companion journal, where you can say anything and decorate that? I am just considering everything you say and wondering if this is something I could be doing, as a person who journals a lot and loves decorated bullet journals. Having a companion journal makes sense, a separate book, but not sure about decorating an actual Bible! I've used those tabs and written on them, but I haven't had the courage to highlight or to write IN the Bible. Am I being weird?
Trust me I journal too you should check out my journal collection here on my channel that was the first video I uploaded. I don't like using journals with my bible because I feel less connected to God's word that way even if I wrote down the full verse. I don't there is just something so special about having my pen connecte with God's Word that really helps fire up my spirit. Plus when I leave the house I only have to grab my bible and a pen. I totally understand why some people can't do as I do. But...but it doesn't mean one way is right or the other is wrong. God created us differently so it only makes sense that we would connect with His Holy Bible differently too ✍📖💜✝️💜
It is not at all weird to be hesitant to journal in your bible, especially if you are from a church that frowns upon putting notes in one or (I have heard some cases of) placing any objects on top of one. Personally I don’t understand how some people (not this RU-vidr obviously) will paint or collage over almost the entire page so it is not readable except for the target verses, it defeats the purpose for me, but I love taking notes directly in my bible and underlining/highlighting what jumps out at me, big points of the sermon, or even something about the Greek/Hebrew words used. I also have a secondary bible for putting artwork over the text when I feel inspired, using transparent media such as watercolor and inktense so that it is still readable. Everything boils down to what works best for you and what you feel comfortable with.
Not too much I found them to be a little less scratcher than the G-Tec because of the thin nibs. But I write with a heavy hand. Both are are amazing I just enjoy round barrel of the Slicci to over the other. It's all personal preference
No if you check out my flip through of this bible I share a closer look at these stickers they are all clear & see through so noooooo nothing is stopping me from reading the Holy Words of God
I've been using them since 2017 with no problems. Not sure what kind of Bible paper you're talking about. But...but with premium Bible paper it's definitely different
Yes you can in the old bibles that paper was amazing... but go ahead and try it with a newer bible and let me know what you think😉😁 trust me I love my Pilot G-2 I use it in all of my journals. And to only have to buy ☝️ pen would be amazing. But that's not the world we live it😂
Thank you so much for everything, very helpful. Though no disrespect intended, let's find another word to replace gutter. Maybe... the dip of the bible or ?
Look it up that's the name I didn't make it up. As a Bible review it's my job to present the correct terms. How will you all learn anything if my information is incorrect. Just say. It wouldn't be very helpful at all right!?
It's really super easy to save up for any premium Bible if you don't have the money for it right now. Like myself.... I'm definitely considering poor to most most people. But I'm spirituality rich. I have worked over 16hr days 14 days straight to get the premium Bible I wanted. It's really not hard at all. I don't waste my money on worldly junk, entertainment or anything else that won't help me grow spiritual. I'm very proud of my drive & passion for God's Holy Word. It drives me nuts when people say they can't ever afford a premium Bible but they're sitting there right now on a phone that cost them well over $500-1000 which is definitely way more than any premium Bible. Those people can't ever justify spending that amount of money on a Bible because they see it as a waste of money. Which is disturbing to me. God's Word a waste of money!?🥺 how dare they... they're moral in my opinion are definitely messed up. They expect someone else to gift them a premium Bible and if they don't get one gifted to them.... well than shame on those who do have work to buy their own premium Bibles like myself who have many. It's not really hard. Plus you can also ask your family & friends to help pitch in to help get one or tell them that's what you want for your birthday or Christmas
@@catwoods5499 I was just kinda having a little fun lol! BUT I actually do agree with you to an extent. Yes, I think anyone can afford a premium Bible or two if they really desire this and order their priorities correctly. But 20-30 of them? That’s like $6,000! That’s up there!! But again, I do actually agree with you :) On another note I absolutely LOVE your videos. They’re so inspirational and I always learn something! 🙏🏼
Thank you so much for watching and supporting my channel I greatly appreciate. 💜💙💚🤎💜💙💚🤎 Ohhhh and PS. I don't ever think anyone should ever own 20-30 premium Bibles unless they're using them all. Much like myself I only have this Collection because I am A RU-vidr and Bible reviewer. If I didn't have this channel or the FB groups that I do I would never ever have so many Bible/s period. This is another huge reason why I am always perching to you all "NEVER EVER PURCHASE ANY BIBLE PREMIUM OR NOT UNLESS YOU HAVE A PURPOSE IN MIND FOR IT!" and never buy a Bible just because I reviewed it that can get out of hand fast.
