@@umapessoa240 in the comics, Onslaught is a psionic entity. It was created after Magneto ripped the adamantium out of Logan. In furious response, Xavier mind wipes Magneto. The psychic backlash of Mag's vengeful thoughts and Xavier's suppressed negative emotions accidentally blended and Onslaught was born. Assuming we're going down that route, Onslaught will very likely be a major villain next season.
@@umapessoa240in the 90’s comics, when magneto did this, it finally pushed Charles to wipe his mind. In the process, some of magneto’s malevolence carried over into Charles. It slowly grew into an alternate personality, Onslaught. Long and short, it effectively rebooted the marvel universe. For a while at least, it took the sacrifice of nearly all the heroes of earth to stop Onslaught.
Feel like I've been waiting For this moment to be animated my whole Life. Every Single Xmen project since Fatal Attractions they Tease it then go a completely different route with the outcome. I'm glad they finally showed it. A little disappointed that It was a basically a glorified Slideshow at the end. But maybe we get a better Animation next week to start the episode.
"Now, play the insolent; now, plunder the Gods' privileges and give them to creatures of a day. What drop of your sufferings can mortals spare you?" -Prometheus Bound, by Aeschylus
Watching this back, definitely makes me wonder who the heck decided these teams. Lets send Wolverine, a man who's skeleton is covered in metal, to fight against Magneto Lets send Jean Grey/Cable/Morph, people haunted by Sinister, to fight against him and Bastion
They'll never expect us to send in the last people we'd ever match them up against! It's just cazy enough to work! Uhmmm, I think you've spent too much time in space, Chuck. And Cyclops, I think you actually need to get your eyes checked!
@@lorenadavila5580Let's be honest. Among the Capcom characters, Hiryu and the Dark Stalkers roaster are the only ones who'd have a chance. In MVC, most of the Capcom characters needed to have their abilities dialed up to 11 to stand their ground. Hiryu and the Dark Stalker characters were the characters who didn't need their abilities enhanced. Hiryu is just insane, and Dark Stalkers can range from silly like Felicia, to massively powerful demons such as Morrigan.
Magnetos " finally " is haunting. Hes been thinking of doing this to wolverine for a while. The only think that saved logan was his unwillingness to kill...until now
Wolverine: I don’t always stab Magneto, but when I do, I never ever ever twist nor cut more to make sure he stays down, and I always have him kill me or almost kill me afterwards.
I really hope after seeing Magneto do that to Logan that Rogue FINALLY realizes her mistake. She said she joined Magneto so she wouldn't have to see any more mutants die. But seeing Magneto nearly die on top of him nearly killing Logan I really hope makes her realize, "what am I doing?! This is my family! They've always been here for me!", and she redeems herself by fighting against Magneto, Bastion and Mr. Sinister with the X-Men.
@@Legend354. She saw Magneto tear the metal out of Logan. I just want Rogue to make the right choice for ONCE in this season! I hate her being on Magneto's side!
@@carmenjohnson1834 It made him feral because his healing factor is always ON and his adamantium skeleton was poisonning him slowly. In effect, his healing factor was never at full power since a portion of it was dealing with the adamantium in his body.
@@Matt-tg3vu I kind of missed that whole era of comics, so I never really got the story. So it was like a shock to his system since his healing factor was kinda always at half mast due to the metal?
You don't get it as a kid who didn't have access to the comics and the Internet not being a factor this was the shit of rumors and crazy hype to see this is truly insane
Seriously, I remember being on the school bus and the same kid who invented a cockamamie story that there was a sequel to Stephen King's IT with baby ITs was telling me about this scene. I was all, c'mon dude, no way -- Mags ripped out Wolverine's skeleton?! I was a grown man before I found out this was real 😂
@@cameronhodgetts920 this wolverines regenerative abilities are not that powerful. It is indeed, however a power some wolverines have. like old man Logan.
When they bring Onslaught Bring on - Strider Hyriu - Captain Commando - Mega man - Roll - War Machine - Hulk - Ryu - Jin - Venom - Chun Li But most importantly: * Spiderman * Gambit * Morrigan
Only in fantasy do we support terrorists' actions because bad things happen to them. In real life, if you told me the September 11th attacks were just fine because Al Quada had been mistreated, you'd be a psycho. When watching a cartoon, you can say a guy who attacks all life on earth (every man, woman, and child on the planet) because extremists attack him is justified and nobody notices how insane it really is.
Disney Exec: "We let Wolverine stab someone. We have to kill him off now so we have an excuse to not do it again." Writer: "Um, just take this X-Men #25, Anniversary Comic." Disney Exec: "You think I know how to read, like one of the poors? Oh wait it has pictur- Oh. OHHHHHHHHHH"
@@johno1544 And Wolverine could’ve instantly killed him. Magneto was crushing Xavier’s skull so Logan stabbed him, he had opportunities to kill earlier but didn’t.
"Don't do this?" Charles, the man just stabbed Magneto with intent to kill. What's Magneto to do, give him a pat on the back? Logan got what was due....
To be fair he intentionally did a non lethal blow. They need Magneto alive to control his mind to do the whole fix Earth's magnetic field thing. Logan had like a good few seconds where he could have killed him outright. Obviously at this point expecting Magneto to do anything else is silly. Xavier just assaulted his mind and now he's been stabbed, man's pissed.
@@NoMustang273 the fact that Magneto hadn't just done it to Wolverine from the start shows he wasn't aiming to kill them either. He could have crushed Xavier in his chair, could have ripped Wolverine inside out from the moment he saw him. That man can control the iron in their blood. No one is safe from him. He could have taken them down the moment he wanted, as he did in the end.
Once long ago a warrior who could not be felled by time nor age along with a band of heroes drawn from the allied armies and led by a paragon of heroism came upon a most vile and evil place where people were being starved, forced into slave labor, then slaughtered with a factory of death and horror, it was there that warrior who had lived for centuries saw the truest depth of the evil of men and he and his comrades would not stand for it and launched an attack on the camp to liberate the prisoners within. One of the children saved that day by the actions of the warrior, a boy who watched his parents die, held a great power within him but scared by the evils done upon him and his people found a darkness seeping into his heart that could be never healed. Now the boy grown to a man has become a monster in his own right and the warrior that once freed him is forced to fatally wound the monster born of a scared and scarred child but after dealing the bloody strike the boy now turned man unleashed his great power ripping the warrior apart from within, yet even through a pain unthinkable to any other the warrior would survive and heal from his wounds.
Exactly why they didn't do it in the 90's, on top of not being allowed, but the comic version of this episode came out in the 90's when the show was on the air (the comic book version was FAR more brutal)
@@imaginaryking5276 I'd wager this show is directed at those who were kids in the 90's, but to see them pull the scene right out of X-men #25 is surreal
@@jamescalder997 I know right!! In the original comic panel was so much brutal (no friking daaa it was the 90s) but the fact that this is a marvel show/ a disney+ marvel show is soo surreal but in the good way.
I need to say something... Charles Xavier coming back does not change the fact that Magneto is the leader of the X-Men and they need to recognize that! When Charles "died", for all legal intents and purposes, Magneto became and still is the X-Men's leader!
Logan: "Let's see! I can either stab him on the left side, where his heart is, or the right side where his heart is NOT. Oh boy, I wonder which side would neutralize him faster."
I hope the finale is Magneto realizing he can't stop Wolverine now and he goes berserk. Wolverine and Wade Wilson are practically the same with advanced healing and virtually immortal.
Trust me even with the healing factor, the pain of having a layers of metal ripped from your skeleton is definitely going to incapacitate anyone for a while
The problem with Magneto ideals is that he is so hurt by being a victim that he could not see the bigger picture. Yep you cant fully said he is doing wrong. But he never know where to draw the line between justice and and revenge. For a man that hates humans he not ironically is one of the most humans in the x men
That’s actually a very good take, especially with this version. It turns out that Magneto WAS actually trying to do things differently as the inheritor of Charles’ dream. Magneto DID warn the UN that, if humanity was going to keep pressing mutantkind, there would be a response. Then Genosha happened, and Magneto flashed back to watching another genocide take place as a boy- and now it’s all happening again. Magneto has just stopped caring at this point. He is DONE.
Don't worry,Logan is not dead.Cause in the comics Erick did the same, but Logan survived and forgot it (he just taken all Adamatume from Loqn's bones):)
First thought: oh god that was brutal. Second thought: If this is going where I think it is...oh boy, time for that berserker rage to finally come out.
If Juggernaut wasn't already depowered at this point in the continuity I'd say season two would definitely open with his defeated self laying in the middle of the street. If you know you know.
Well, since the series is confirmed for three seasons. I think there should be five, just like the original 90's run. Would there be a possibility of introducing X-Men 2099? I think there is.
