We invite you to watch the entire mission, which is without cuts and edits. You can see mission loading times, in-game FPS, and numerous new HUD features in the cockpit of our favorite Rebel X-Wing fighter. What do you think about the introduced changes?
I wish Star Wars Squadrons would look that good. Amazing work. I can't even begin to understand the amount of work that went into this. All the cockpits animations are SO satisfying to watch! It feels like it's straight from the movies; or rather from the SW universe. Only thing that feels slightly jarring are the explosion's flipbook's framerate, but that's nothing new and it certainly doesn't detract from this otherwise beautiful result
Yes, I would also like Star Wars Squadrons to look like this. Fortunately, we can make our own version :-). It only requires "a little" time. I think the effects of the explosion can still be improved. The matter of finding the relationship between the various elements of the animation. Which, unfortunately, is terribly time-consuming.
I need this. I need all of this. I cut my flight sim teeth on X-wing Collector's Edition back in the 90s so this is some major, major nostalgia right here.
wow, to bad lucasarts doesnt realize how much longevity mods give games. i guess theres no profit in that. fans are great. modders are great. star wars is great (was)
Lovely! A minuscule suggestion, for what it's worth, explosions in starwars frequently have electric arcs (e.g. TIEs blowing up in the movies). Now I don't know how hard that is, or whether that can be done at all. But really, it's all wonderful already.
So so gorgeous! Thank you so much for keeping this alive. I'm trying not to play before making a throttle with detents in the 1/3 and 2/3 positions haha. :) The cockpit integration of the menus looks fantastic. A little bit confused by the blue bar under the speed reading, I can tell I was expecting a visual speed gauge to match the numbers. Just a UI thought while everything is fresh.
This is outstanding work. Looking on par with the work so far on XWVM. Do you have any intention in the future to make your changes available as a mod? Would sure love to play this version and XWVM on a Vive with a HOTAS setup....
Thank you. Mods used xwaupgrade version 5.0 with subsequent updates to version 5.5, beta Effects Version 2 by Blue Max's and our mod with new objects, effects, graphics. I recommend forums.xwaupgrade.com/ there is the largest amount of knowledge about this game.
Sorry, I'm unfamiliar. Is it the intention that these mods will be available as part of a future XWA Upgrade patch update? Or how would they become available once tested and all that?
It's good that you ask. We are not part of XWAU. What we do is go back to childhood, so we create a modification that is completely different from XWAU. We focus on transferring our memories to the real world, which is what we saw in our imagination once while playing X-Wing (1993 or XWA), we now want to give to others in the form of this mod. There is a lot of hard work ahead of us, but as you can see, it's probably worth it. Perhaps it will be liked and noticed by young people :-). We hope to finish work before the release of the next Star Wars simulator.
@@xwingfacility I mean, it all looks great, I'm just trying to figure out how & when I can get my hands on it lol. Will you be releasing the fully working pieces of this mod individually as you go along? If so, where would I go to download them?
Admire the cockpit styles. Framerates are looking good which I'm sure will help on more demanding missions. Keep it up, looking forward to seeing the next video.
