Tough choice. Deep bass + treble and lack of mids on the jbl, or BOOMY POWER + better mids on sony. JBL obvously sounds more "hifi", but in some cases sony can be better. Fully depends on what music are you listening to.
Well JBL has cleaner sound with way better treble and deeper Bass Sony is missing treble and has boomy Bass and Even The eq is useless which has been tested
(Who wins) Song 1: Sony Song 2: JBL (Sometimes I think Sony sound as good) Song 3: Tie Song 4: JBL (Same as Song 5: JBL Song 2) Song 6: Sony Song 7: Sony Song 8: Tie? It both sounds nice but different. Song 9: Sony My opinion But sometimes i am just not sure
I still love and prefer JBL Charge 3 & Sony XB41, not just for sound quality, but rugged and solid build quality, with amazing battery life.. I have both and very happy with it..
Great comparaison video. I am a Sony fan but I have to admit that JBL wins. Their speakers sound more realistic and natural. The Sonys let us hear more plastic or artificial resonance. They should work harder for the next generation of speakers...
that depends man. If you listnen to songs with a lot of singing the jbl definitely wins but if you love hip hop and songs with a lot of bass you need the sony.
I am a huge fan of both! Sony's bass sounds crappier, and JBL had more trebble. JBL had a much harder time 'filling the room' than Sony, but was more clear. (This all also depends on the genre/song. On some songs the jbls' sounded more tinny, and on others the sonys' sounded a bit distorted.) They are both great portable speaker families... but I personally like JBL better. (I have the xb7, 2 xb40's, a JBL boombox, and a JBL charge 3.)
I love your Videos. You are by far the best in audio-testing. And by the way: Your form of presenting it is very sympathetic ( I don't know, if this is the right term.. I am from Germany and don't know exactly how to say it) . To the speakers I would say that I like both for special music . If it depends on clear highs I would go for the jbl but Sony seems to have a big punch. But as you said , connection is horrible with Sony. I have a Sony smartphone and even that takes always minutes to connect to my Sony speaker. Thanks for your videos !
the sony's speakers sound so hallow. and the passive radiators on jbl do a impressive job you realy can hear the rich bass coming out of them while you just hear this boomy bass of the speakers from the sony's
Firstly, there is Sony Songpal app, where you can controll bass mids and treble. Secondly, XB60 is very bad speaker, so it would be better if you could make battle of XB21, XB31 AND XB41 vs JBL
Andrew Gagarin your just as clapped🤦♂️ Sony do no make good speakers, I have an xb40 I have an xb20 I have an xtreme and a flip 3 and soon an xtreme 2 along with my bose Soundlink mini, don’t believe me? Look at my RU-vid channel. Sony’s speakers are dog shit, they distort have no highs, mids are pushed way too hard and create a muddy and unclear sound. No audiophile rates these pathetic excuses of “ speakers “
Just fyi, turn the extra bass feature off and it sound much cleaner and much more balanced, the bass actually sounds deeper too Edit For gods sake how was this a fair comparison of you never turned it off
Idk i have sony xb60 the bass is oof awesome but idk why in this video highs are so loud trust me in person xb60 bass is SOMETHING. Jbl is nice but we should mention price, and then consider whats better for budget.
i've got sony everywhere in my house, but now i can't say that sony has better bass, it is punchier, but the jbl is clearer, has more treble and mooore nice bass, like i want. That time, jbl wins.
It was a pain in the neck to finally get it to work but the only way I was able to make it work was when the xb60 as the main speaker in the wireless party chain connection
I wanna sell my 2 Flip 4's and get the Extreme 2, is it worth the change from Stereo mode to the Extreme 2? Or should I just get a Charge 3 to use in party mode with the Flip 4's?
@@alexpcrepairs Yes!! The only thing you can find a little bad in this speaker is bass ( if you have subs in your house ) but for the size the bass is very good!! The sound generally is very Bright and sounds realistic!! Soo...?
@@user-zd9dh3pv8r I don't know what this Open Box speakers had gone through but I did a factory rest and it sounds better. By the way I had already heard an Extreme 2 at a store, so it didn't sound the same that's why I asked. Thanks
jbl is just better for outside areas cause of the emphasis it can have on the mids and highs sony has a more balanced sound signature, even though to some the sound might sund 'muffled',which can produce very deep bass without any issues, especially the xb40,wheras the jbl can have distortions when the bass really gets going, In general, jbl is better in cleaner sound cause these speakers are better for outdoors mostly, but it doesnt have such deep bass as the sony
Wrong. Sony has zeeerrrrooo basss. Only boosted upper bass for sony and no deepcleaness as the JBL. Not to mention the sony sounds muffled and bass wayy to boomy muddy. JBL has clear crisp better highs and a wider soundstage. But The mids Are really drownd out or kind of lacking and the bass not very boosted. But it is cleanly deeper than sony as the result the JBL sounds more hifi, realistic, and Kind of like Cinematic speaker🔥 where as the sony sound muffled-like a 2$ radio💩:D
jbl is good on voices and crispeyness and bass but when my own jbl charge 4 im saving money for a sony gtk xb5. because i want a big speaker with awsome bass in
Due to lack of tweeters on the xb41 the sounds very muffled and in higher volumes it is a louder speaker but. It get a demolation distortion. And speaking of destortion. the strong demolation destortion is basically mushmixing of all frequencies in one single or dual (FULL RANGE) drivers and due to lack of tweeters and will couzing a lot of reverberation in the sound and make sounds destorted is called strong demolation destortion. And That's make a very loud noise, make sounds very muffled, and make it the bass wayy too boomy with very kinda dark muddy bass
Sony should just forget about looks n d led lights n research on how to make sound more richer..... Looks don't matter quality does.... I'm a Sony lover.... JBL wins
