Turned off VRR and that did the trick even on PC mode. Could be a bandwidth limitation of the throughput of the cable supporting all of the features at once.
Gonna try this later, I have a slight flicker on my CX at 120hz but not 60hz. And what do you know, I saw a video that said to put it on PC mode. Hope this works, thanks!
Can anyone make me a written list of what to put in? I can't caption it ...Sometimes I have flickering on the xbox screen and in some games, is 10 or 12bits better? Tengo a veces parpadeo en pantalla de xbox y en algún juego ,es mejor 10 o 12bits?...¿Alguien puede hacerme una lista escrita de que debo poner? No puedo subtitularlo...GRACIAS
Nope, mine is a 2020 Sony that has no flickering with anything but the Series X and only with high res (4K Ubisoft games, mostly grass, landscapes) but it would be my TV. Then again my One X and PS5 don't do this at all. So I still can't figure out the issue, though my TV doesn't have a 2.1 HDMI port, just 2.0, ,so I'm guessing I should use the old 2.0? That might help.
i got a problem on my xbox 360 i try to change the hdtv setting to 480 p after that my tv say out of signal, i think it's the hdmi cable n then i change the cable, still out of signal so i think it's the port, but before replacement i try to update flash, n after i try to go xell nand, the screen doing really fine n i update my kernel, after update i try to start the xbox but still got this out of signal from my tv, i really confused by this when i go to xell nand by pressing the cd button, my screen doing really fine, but when i start the xbox there is no signal, i tried everything for 3 days, like push the power button for hard reset, n then the Y n right trigger button n doesn't work, i even try to reset my tv setting but still got this problem so any tips for the case that i got
Hi there. I also own a C9 and XSX. Can you please explain why at 15:34, when you enter in HDR calibration, the screen flickers white and then enter? Mine does the same and I am afraid that should be a gpu problem, but now cuz I see yours it's the same I dont know what to think. It happends everytime the tv enters the HDR( when you enter a game and the tv goes hdr or when I press calibration hdr etc. ) it also happens when like you re playing a game in hdr and you go to home screen, like you re exiting hdr mode, but after that works perfectly fine no other problems could you please explain if it's a problem or not?
@@DramaFreeGaming Thanks for the reply, I am verry happy right now that I didn t get a defective xbox!! But last night I found my kid playing with the power button of the xbox pressing it on and off for a while cuz I was in the shower, this can affect something ? Because it didnt start properly and he turns it off cuz of the blink power button.. hes only 3 yrs old
@@tomitzak just unplug the power cord from your machine and outlet and wait a couple of minutes then plug it back in and start it up. This should fix it.
@@DramaFreeGaming It starts ok and works fine, just worried about my kid just starts/stop it for a few times.. that can affect something? I mean he press the power button, then he press it back and turn it off and again and again because he find it funny that power go white and black when he pressed it, can be a problem at all? Thanks.
I tried this.. my nano90 LG defaults to game console when I plug the Xbox series x in.. the only way I have found to fix it is to turn off the AMD Freeesync..That sucks, because I want to use it with flight simulator, however, I can't handle the flickering.
I also have the nano9010 and it flickers on 120hz on my series X. Have you found anything to stop this then as it's really annoying. My ps5 never does it.
Mine has a brightness flicker in game. When I pull up FreeSync Information by pressing green button 8 times it shows it vary between 120hz and 90hz rapidly and it’s flickering the brightness when it does that. If I turn Ultra Deep off it goes away but info says 0hz. So lost on how to fix it tbh. 2020 NanoCell 49”
@@crawfordbrown75 I turned off the feature where games that aren’t HDR aren’t emulated in HDR. I remember in the settings it’s in the right side column but can’t remember what it’s called. And then while the game was playing I fudged around with the hdr and free-sync settings. It helped a lot but didn’t fix it completely. I’ve since kinda stopped playing the games it affected the most. When I get home tomorrow or tonight I will look up the settings and comment them here to see if it helps you. Do you have a Nanocell as well?
@@LJ-uy9ru are you talking about gamma flickering/stuttering . For example black areas flashing constantly when your running vrr 120hz 4k along with hdtvtest caliberbation?
I only have a 60hz panel, I mean you don't HAVE to have a 120hz to enjoy the system. Everything I tried and the flickering is still here, on "certain" games. As I said my Ps5 and Xbox One X are just fine.
This is a random question but i bought my xbox series x not so long ago and whenever I play. There comes pixils on my tv really often. Do you think its because my tv is really old? Its 8 years old and its not 4k
I haven't heard of this issue before to be honest. I would make sure that my tv and system have the latest software update first. Then I would check the settings to see if they are set correctly both on the television and Xbox. After that I would swap out the 2.1 HDMI cable to see if it's defective. If all that troubleshooting does not work I would contact Microsoft. Hope this helps and sorry your having this issue. Let me know if you get a solution so we can help others.
Swap out your hdmi cable but make sure that it is not a cheap cable. If that does not work, check your port on your system or tv and make sure that there is nothing defective.
@@DramaFreeGaming thank you so much for your help i really appreciate it but I think that is due to my very old TV my TV is Samsung ue50mu6172u. I will buy some lg oled model soon
I'm sorry to hear that you are having this issue. I have suggested in the past to troubleshoot starting with your 2.1 hdmi cable. switch it out and see if that fixes it. If not make sure you also have the latest firmware update and I would contact Samsung and ask if they are addressing this issue as well.
Hey I just read that VRR and HDR in Samsung might be the cause for this flickering because they can not be on at the same time. You might want to check this out with Samsung for your model. Hope this helps and let us know if it does.
Fyi, Xbox series x isn’t capable of 12 bit gaming. Just 10 bit. The lg cx tv is capable of “10+” but not 12 bit. Neither one will actually display 12 bit color. Edit: thanks. You are 100% right. I was following one of those channels that said to switch it to pc mode. Edit edit: I thought you’d want to know. Your solution of swapping it from pc to gaming did not fix my screen flickering. I got deep into why. Turns out, the VRR setting isn’t fully compatible with 4K 120hz yet. As soon as I disabled VRR at 120hz, the problem went away. You can also enable VRR, but you should stay at 60 hz until all the kinks are worked out
As far as I know it's up to date. I only notice it when I'm playing games that have the 120hz mark. And not really in game. For example loading up dead by daylight series x version flickers like crazy when in 120hz with vrr active.
@@grizzlystr8xl456 my original problem on my C9 was similar because I set my TV to PC mode. Have you tried running your Xbox into another TV or monitor to see if it does the same thing?
@@DramaFreeGaming yeah I hooked it up to a 2018 Samsung tv with no issue but that tv doesn't support vrr. With the CX if I turn vrr off it goes away but I spent over 2grand on a tv for vrr lol. I think it is currently in PC mode so when i get home tonight I'll mess around with it some more and see what I can come up with. The only thing that scares me is I've been reading online it's a panel issue for all 2019 and 2020 lg panels. If that's the case they have a bad case of false advertisement on there hands I guess.
@@grizzlystr8xl456 I hope it's not a bad panel that would be terrible. Hopefully taking it off PC mode will fix it. I followed a reputable tv calibrator that recommended PC mode but that was my issue all along. Let me know how it turns out. Thanks for the sub as well.
@@MVPlayer123 don't know if it's a freesync or g-sync issue you might have? If it is you might find help on the Xbox site or forums.. I would check all my connections and maybe swap out the cables for others just to rule out it's not that. I hope this helps
@@DramaFreeGaming Yeah bro it had to be the the chip and I just received my new Xbox One X from the mail. I had a warranty on the first one and no issues with the new one. Thank you though bro!!
@@ZNJMCC If u already have the series X. Even without a 120hz TV i think u can still have fun with it. Like it still a big step up. Like the speed of the new SSD and quick resume alone was enough to convince me to pick one up but you do what works best for you.
