For many who fear the complexity, and potentially confusing nature of a Windows PC, buying an Xbox means they can still easily game at a good level, and for a lower price. But for anyone with the knowledge and ability to manage a PC, especially if you can build your own, it's flexibility in covering office, browsing, and editing functions, etc, plus upgradeability, more than makes up for any amount of additional costs.

Series X is a great console for what it is. For the price, you can have 120fps games and an entry to GamePass. I sold mine for PC (7900xt) but if I was on a budget, Series X (or PS5 which I still have) is amazing. Also, note that console removes most cheating as you can shut crossplay to PC. However, a AM4 5600/6700xt build can be had for a little more than the consoles nowadays.

Used to be console, now PC gaming. I find it easier. I'm not very good with those controllers. You used to have 4 buttons or something and that was easy to play with, now you have many buttons, many combinations to remember, etc... Also, many games only work with the 2 bats, I can't play well with that. PC gaming is great but as with everything it is an expensive hobby, you have to have a decent PC and that costs money. (my opinion). My PC costs 2645 euros. I used to buy 1 of 1200, that was really not good, I want to play games on the max settings, you also need enough vram and not just the ram. And that thing made a lot of noise too. Now my PC is very very quiet. What a difference.

Great take, but it's kind of weird to compare a console to such a high end pc (price wise, and power) For the price, the xbox is amazing, also taking into consideration gamepass. personally I got a okay-ish laptop from 2 years ago with a rtx 3060 and a ryzen 7, it runs most of the games i play on high, my series x runs what I like there, playstation 5 because of god of war and my switch due to pokemon, everything has it's ups, and downs. But I prefer to see the positive in em, they all work in their own way, for different types of games.

there is defo a huge benefit to using an xbox especially in 2023 where most people just wanna come home and play a game. things like gamepass although available on pc, is a great addition to console, along with its ease of use. You dont have to worry about fan curves, or graphics settings. you should just be able to pick up a controller and play. on the other hand, pc is great if you want a choice. a lot of things werent covered in this video such as game emulation, choice of games (pc only games, PS games and xbox games in 1 place) the option of using any controller you like on pc such as xbox or ps controller or a keyboard and mouse. also creative applications are only available on pc and if you want an ultrawide gaming monitor, you need a pc. pc is defo for the more hardcore gamer or creative professional due to the large variety of simulation hardware such as racing wheels, flight joy sticks and virtual reality headsets to pick from.

My son has just built his first PC, his GPU cost more than my Series X. He plays on a 27” monitor, my Xbox is plugged into my 55” 1080p tv in my bedroom, and that is the main difference between the 2. Most people who own a console are regarded as ‘casual’ gamers with their consoles plugged into their tvs, and are happy with the ease of use, and are great fun with a few mates playing FIFA, CoD etc….., and most are not really bothered with the most cutting edge visuals, frame rate and so on, they just want a great looking game, (and my Xbox does that,) and a laugh. Pc gamers are more involved with the game, wanting the hardware to be pushed to its limits and want the very best experience from their Pc, with the frame rates, visuals etc.., but I feel if this is be achieved, it comes at a very expensive price! Most decent PCs cost well over a £1,000, and then the monitor is more as well. For a PC that runs as good as the Series X, PS5, in all reality going to cost up to 3x the price, if not more! Both Pc and console games can be treated equally, as the most important thing to remember is having fun, and it doesn’t really matter what you play on, so long as you’re happy with what you’ve got😊😊😊

Being a PC gamer, I obviously would never wanna switch back to a console considering I have a more high end build these days, and I wouldn't wanna compromise on the FPS ever agian. But that being said, I think Xbox and Playstation have some amazing flagship consoles that you can't beat for the price. So much performance for just a few hundred dollars. But one of the arguments I don't ever agree with from console players is about the user experience being more complicated when having extra settings. I get if you don't wanna go into the graphical settings and change everything because you just wanna plug and play. That is totally fine. But simply having the option doesn't complicate anything. You can leave everything at default if you wanted to and never have to touch anything. But it's there if you ever wanna get some more frames and better image quality. It's basically the same argument that Apple users use against Android. Having options doesn't mean complexity. It's the reason why I have stuck with PC for 8 years now. There just isn't a console that can compete with high end PC systems when it comes to performance, options on hardware, upgradability, aestetic, etc. Also being able to take apart your system and clean it so it doesn't start running super hot from the dust and die faster is great, along with all the different peripherals that can be bought for PC. Having your games, browser, editing software, media center, pictures, videos, documents all in one machine is something you can't compare with consoles. Also being able to upgrade components are you need for games is just something console players can never experience. You are just having to wait on the manufacturer for the next gen of consoles before you can see any improvements in FPS or performance in general. Being locked to 30fps for some 4k games is just something I couldn't compromise anymore with being used to running games at over 144hz in 4k for so long now. If you are on a budget, I would definitely tell someone to buy ones of the consoles for sure. It just is a great value for what you are getting. But if you have a good amount of money to spend on gaming, PC is just the way to go for all the reasons I stated. You can use controllers for most games on PC if you don't wanna learn keyboard and mouse for your games. So at that point, there just isn't an argument anymore.

The 12GB for the 6700 XT on the other hand is all dedicated to the video memory, so it technically has more VRAM in terms of video memory that's actually allocated for textures and graphics.

A key factor that console has over pc is game optimization and price to fulfillment ratio. Any game releasing on both console and pc will always prioritize it’s largest target market which would be console and upper mid-lower spec pcs but even more so console. Thing is is that there’s only two consoles to optimize a game for which is significantly easier and less resources/time consuming than the countless different types of pcs. Buying a high end pc is like buying a huge walk in closet and not being able to fully utilize it until a decade down the road, but by then the people who buy the most expensive hardware will want the next biggest closet once it comes out and the cycle continues. At the end of the day console will always take priority and be more optimized because that’s where the money is.

@Denbot.Gaming watch some digital foundry videos. Most series x and ps5 settings are mid to high, high being the most common but they also have custom in between settings that pc doesn't have. Settings is only half the story though as mentioned above its optimisation. I'll give you a prime example. Jedi survivor. I own this game on pc and xbox. My pc has a 13900k and rtx4090 and the game runs and looks like shit on pc. Regular traversal stutter, a backed in stutter on running animation, lack of definition on textures and for the first few months after release Regular crashes. I finished the game but dealt with 12 crashes while doing so. On xbox there is no crashes and very little traversal stutter. The textures also looked awful until the most recent patch. So no matter how powerful your pc is, can't really get better for gaming then mine some games still run like crap compared to console. There have been several other games this year that have had similar issues.

Are you saying that to buy a comparable PC you wouldn't need to pay more than a console and/or are you saying that the Series X is not overall a great price for gaming with high quality and performance with the only real downside being the features you have on PC that console doesn't? Your example is more costly than the console and my understanding of the other persons comment is they are talking about comparable specs with a comparable price and saying you would need to spend more for a PC to achieve this. I assume "3060 12gb which outdoes the PS5 on its own", you just mean that the 3060 12gb GPU is better than the GPU in the PS5 which according to a quick search you are correct. And they hike the price by saying these statements, they hike the price of consoles because of what they said? I can't say either way with this. Most of any of the videos I've seen are of people trying to match the performance on PC with builds similar in price and they in some titles are better, but the average of performance is worse than the console variant and they usually have to make some type of sacrifice like buying on the used market, which nothing wrong with that, but if you are buying a new console it's not exactly fair to buy used PC parts to get something comparable. If you are fine with used PC parts then those videos are perfect for you. I suppose this could have changed recently that you can get a comparable experience with the same money and not go the used route, but I haven't noticed that and if you have a comparable build for the same price by all means share it. I would like that build cycled around so people don't pay a subscription to play online games and instead have more control over their gaming experience with all the wonderful features a PC has.

Games are often handed out for free on PC (Can't really argue with getting games like Ark, Borderlands 2, Control, Death Stranding, GTA 5, Killing Floor 2, Prey, Battlefront 2 and Watch Dogs 2 for absolutely free). 3. You don't have to worry about backwards compatibility. You upgrade your PC a few years down the line, you still have the same library and can still play the exact same games even if they're a few generations old. 4. You have complete control over your game settings and can tune them to your image quality/performance liking. 5. PC has both Xbox and Playstation games, and Xbox Game Pass is even still offered on PC. 6. You can spec out a PC for the specific games that you play. If you only play old games or esports games, don't worry about having to spend a lot of money just to run them. You don't have to build an expensive PC that will run Cyberpunk at 144FPS just to play Counter-Strike or Fortnite at high competitive frame rates. 7. PC typically has more and better sales on games compared to console. 8. This is really more Xbox specific, but you don't have to worry about buying proprietary and therefore more expensive storage options just to fit more games on your console. 9. The modding options. PC has way more options for modding games that console ever has.

Fortnight would have looked better at 60 fps on xbox as it turns on all the bells and whistles. Really just comes down to do you value the higher fidelity the pc will offer for the higher cost. Simplicity versus higher customization. Do YOU the person forking the money over for whatever platform you choose to play on, do you care? Thats all that matters is you and if your satisfied

obviously you can do more with a PC, but just in terms of gaming the series X delivers outstanding performance for its price. 1440p/4k 60-120 fps gaming, what more could you really ask for especially when keeping the price of the series X in mind. Why would I want a gaming PC that costs 3x a series X when I can have a low cost, hassle free, high quality gaming experience that rivals PC’s?

Gears 5 on PC and Console just shows that The Coalition are the best studio in the industry to work with Unreal engines. I'd love them to start a new IP.

If you only have 500$ then a console is always the better choice. But if you have more money, the PC will slowly get better. You can do everything on a pc, my gaming PC really helped me through school and work.

The entire point of a Gaming Cosole is to provide a more affordable avenue for people who want to play video games. I own all 3 lol... You cant argue the value you get with Xbox as a brand. Just yesterday, Meta announced that the Meta Quest 3 vr/ar headset will have Xbox Gamepass in December🤯 In other words, you can play your xbox games or gamepass games games on a gigantic vr/ar screen... that's badass. You dont even need to own an xbox!
