Xur is back with his bulky inventory and there are a good few things he has that will interest you.
First don't save your strange coins make sure you spend them - even if its on resources - and he has two good deals this week. I acquire the buff just to show you how it all works.
Enhancement Prisms are available and they are cheap! Also a good deal on one of the Glimmer exchanges.
He has one excellent exotic weapon and the Hawkmoon roll is very good.
Legend weapons are a bit rubbish however he does have great linear fusion.
We'll also take a look at Trials of Osiris too as it is back!

Back in the day, Xur ALWAYS had top notch items. Now it seems Bungie just lets things be randomly assigned to Xur every week.

I think Bungie had someone assigned to creating Xur's offerings every week. I suffered weeks of good natured jabs from my friend who bought the Gallahorn week 2, when I did n🥴t.

Xur's Strange Favor buff is not account wide and will only apply to the character you pick it up on. And you can only pick it up on one character per week.

I like that i saw a video a few days ago about getting more coins while I was already sitting at 99. Overall i like the xur changes. Actually having a bunch of things in the menu including upgrade resources is a big W

On loosing contact with servers - have happened more times than I can say right at the moment you are about to down the last boss - like the other day after doing the ever-long Pale heart 4 tier area activity - and when finally logging back in - all progress is lost! Really not sure if I will bother to start over!

Is Arbalest still good or did it get nerfed in Final Shape? Just recently remembered I had it and the catalyst to insert so I ran it some in PVE. The catalyst requires kills but it doesn't seem to kill anything (low damage), didn't use it a lot as I kept getting in trouble and switching to something with more damage, and am only at 8% on the catalyst...didn't seem worth continuing..? Is it really only for breaking shields? Have other ways to do that with things that do damage... Wasn't ready for the Xur changes last week and missed the Sunshot catalyst...grr... 😕 Really hoping the Witherhoard or Trinity Ghoul catalysts will pop up on there sometime... 🤞

It's mainlt a shield breaker, its high damage on barrier champs. It was super important on Lost Sections but that was about it. I'm not sure about sandbox changes for Final Shape though.

Arby is still good, but Wishender does the same role without needing to worry about special ammo. Unless there's a linear surge or the like Wishender is a bit of a better choice.

You have to land crits, then it does good damage. And it's obviously great against all types of shields and barriers. I unironically use it more than the wishender.

@@youtubevoice1050 Hmm...still a problem trying to get kills to get complete the catalyst but maybe I'll work on it now and then or just sit in the Cosmodrome for an hour.... 🤟

@@DSDesignWoodworking Yeah, cosmodrome is great for that. Arbalest can even shoot through knight and lucent hive titan barriers, vex hydra shields and so on. It's also good to have a special ammo linear for doing bounties - ammo economy is good.
